Compilation of several PDF

In Adobe Reader, you can compile several PDF documents and add a hyperlink directory?  For example, I have several strategies that my boss wants to merged into a single PDF with a link table of contents.  I can't find this option in reader XI, can I Pro?

You will need Adobe Acrobat. Standard or Pro that will.

  • Acrobat 9.3.4 question: unique PDF creation of several PDF

    Hey all,.

    My configuration:

    • Mac OS 10.6.4 / Mac Pro dual / 6 GB of RAM

    • Adobe CS5 Master Collection

    • Acrobat 9.3.4 Pro

Just came across the (critical) question, I have not met before, but it is terribly reminiscent of the problem of the "policies of the Document" file issues and small caps Caps/All InDesign CS5. Here's the scenario:

    1. in a document of IDCS5 I used the command "Uppercase" to give a position this feature (font is future 95 black; type 1).

2 export to PDF (Print) and receive a correct PDF, with the designation of all caps display/printing correctly.

    3. open in Acrobat 9.3.4 and Adobe Reader 9.3.4, and the file is correct (see attachment 1, below).

    4. I then do several other single-page PDF documents and keep them all in a new folder.

    ALL CAPS-Correct.jpg

After you create these PDF files single page to review the customer, the customer asked that a random number of these PDF files be compiled into one PDF, which isn't a problem - it's a common request, we do all the time. The steps to do this are:

    1. launch Acrobat 9.3.4 Pro

    2. Choose file > create PDF > merge files into a single file PDF. dialog box appears.

    3. click on the 'Add files' button in the upper left corner of the dialog box (the single PDF button is selected at the top right of the box).

4 navigation window opens, allowing me to choose the folder created in step 4, above, that contains PDF files, I need.

    5. turn on highlight PDF files you want and arrange them in the order you want. Click the 'Combine files' button in the lower right corner of the dialog box. 6 PDF files is generated, and I save the file PDF. I then open it in Adobe Reader 9.3.4 or Acrobat Pro 9.3.4 to check that all is well and to my great disappointment, note the misinterpretation of the line type "All Caps" (see attachment 2, below).

    All Caps-INCORRECT.jpg

I checked a PDF file that is exported through IDCS5 works correctly, and making the PDF "combined" by a new document IDCS5 and add the necessary pages and export a single PDF works fine, as well. The problem is that the function of «Combine...» "in Acrobat Pro is our workflow, because it allows for a PDF one being combined into one WITHOUT having to set up a new IDCS5 specially for the final PDF document. to do this would require countless file IDCS5 in order to get the pages selected randomly in a single PDF.

If someone has encountered this problem, and if I forgot one post, my apologies. Thanks in advance...

    See you soon!

    Mikey

The problem is related to incorporations of fonts. If all of the PDF files contained the game rather than subsets of fonts fonts this would not be a problem. How to approach the problem is to use the PDF optimizer to remove all embeddings of fonts. Then use the preflight to re - integrate fonts.

  • Combination of several PDF Documents into a single Document

    Hello.

I installed CutePDF Writer and GhostScript converter and I managed to "convert" a jpg to PDF then I opened MergePDF and 'merged' two PDFs into a single pdf file...

'Exactly' what I wanted to do.

After doing more research, I know that PDF Redirect converts files in PDF format and can merge unlimited files at a time. Does anyone know / can find out if we can split the files too.

If PDF Redirect can convert, split, and merge 'all in one', then there is no need to use a conversion program 'and' a ' merger/split' program as I do now.

In fact, some users were already helping me my question in the 'original' post but they no longer and is why I posted my question even once.

Not with the player, no. With Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can use an Action to process several files in a single operation.

  • Is it possible to import the same JavaScript document into several PDF documents at the same time

I have a recurring project where I disable advance click into individual PDF by using a JavaScript document. Is it possible to import this script into several PDF files at once rather than having to manage it at the same time?

You can create an Action that adds the script. Curiously, the Action would be a JavaScript that uses the doc.addScript () method.

  • OCR @ background for several PDF files

    Dear friends,

I have several PDF files image / tiff files. a PDF file can have multiple pages. I wanted to do OCR of each PDF file. Manually, I need to do it one by one.

I wanted to perform this task in the background might be a tool that can be run to do OCR for all files and save result files in the specific folder. This groundwork will be executed on a daily basis.

Can this be possible with Adobe OCR tool? OR offer another solution using Adobe OCR.

Have we not all libraries that can be integrated with .net application? so that we can build the tool that can be run in the background.

    Thank you

    Louis

Yes, you can run OCR on a set of files and save them in the folder with the specified names. To do this, follow these steps:

If no file is opened in Acrobat:

    1. start Acrobat and go to tools > improve the Scans

    2. There is a link «or recognize text in multiple files»

    3. on the "recognize text" dialog box, click Add files option and select all the files, you want to perform OCR.

    4. click on Ok. Now a dialog box will come where you can specify the output settings (folder path and file name prefix/suffix)

    5. the "Recognize text - settings' window specify the language and style of OCR output. (Default value is searchable exact Image).

If a file is opened in Acrobat, step 2 will change: toolbar in Acrobat select text recognition > in multiple files

Hope it will solve your problem. Please let us know if something else is needed.

    Thank you.

  • It is possible to combine several PDF in a single pdf file using document cloud

    Hi jay,

  • How can I insert a single separate several PDF PDF file in a folder?

Hello, I am trying to take an existing PDF file and add this file at the end of several PDF files at the same time. Is there a way to automatically process rather that manually insert the file in each PDF?

    Thank you.

    JB

No script required. Create a new Action using the Action Wizard (under Tools). Add to that a command "insert Pages" and then click on this command and click on specify settings. Select the file you want to insert, and then select Insert after the last page. Don't forget to remove the tick in the box 'Interrogate the user' if its selected.

Then add a command and you are ready to perform the Action on your files.

Change the value in the registry to point to "AcroRdr32.exe".

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Eric

    Thank you all.
I was able to solve it.

In the registry, the .pdf is looking at Acrobat.Document.15

Looked at the reg path and saw that the "Print" was pointing to Acrobat acrord32.exe rather

Changed to point to the drive path.

    This fixed the problem.
