Computer configuration never appears?

Manager running on a Server 2008 R2 firewall disabled.  The agent that is installed on a clean Win7 SP1 x 64 VM, firewall not configured (current service).  I ping the Agent Manager and vice versa.

I have uninstalled/rebooted/installed/restarted the Agent software, but I never see the virtual machine in the Portal Manager.  I can't seem to find the Agent logs, what should I check at this stage?

  • Problem ladle with Burrito where AIR App window never appears

    I'm all of Google-fu, who have also sought everywhere here and at Adobe, but I was wondering if someone here might have experienced the same problem:

    When using Adobe Flash Builder Burrito, the window for the desktop version same basic app never appears - but that works well when I push to the Playbook Simulator.

    All that happens is the adl.exe process starts. No new window never appears. If I run in a debug configuration, it is obvious that the application runs indeed somewhere, because I can get feedback trace().

    I have installed and reinstalled Flash Builder and tried it on XP and Win7; systems both have the same problem. This is something that has developed over time, as I used to be able to use the desktop very well mode. I tested my own application as well as the tutorial app Playbook in 90 minutes. both work when I load them upward on the Simulator (but not on the desktop).

    I tried to update Flash Player and even Shockwave Player, nothing helps. It's using the AIR API v0.9.2.

    There is some development excrutiating - I need a feedback loop fast since I'm new to ActionScript. The Sim Card takes much too long.

    What is the proper way to 'never block' a whole network in IDM?

    The network behind the firewall with a private IP address range (10.10.10.1 - 254, for example) it's NAT would have on the external interface of the PIX.

    When an of these IPs gets shunned, I can't make a 'no shun' using the address private IP and the shun is deleted. Then... I guess I can enter the private IP address to 'never block '.

    But... I did this and the IP get sometimes shunned.

    Do I need to use the global public address pool these get NAT'd to?

    Can I enter the following in the IDM to 'never block' across the network? :

    10.10.10.0

    255.255.255.0

    The addresses that you use in the never order block on the sensor must correspond to the location where the sensor is deployed.

    If the sensor is monitoring on your private network and generates alarms with private IP addresses then use IP addresses private when you configure never block.

    If the sensor is followed on the external network and generates alarms with the global ips then use the global ips when configuring never block.

    Then look at your alarms and see what address is reported in the alarm (private or global). This is the address or network you want to configure as never to block.

    The sensor doesn't know what private ip addresses are mapped to addresses what global ip. If a block on a private address never has no effect on whether or not the sensor will block a global address.

    The Pix knows the mapping, it's why the shun no order on the Pix will remove it. The Pix knows the mapping is not the case of the probe.

    Beware that if the sensor is turned off and reboot of the sensor re - runs the command to shun for all addresses that it deems should be avoided (even those that you have run the command 'not shun' for the pix). Is not a good idea to manually run the command 'not shun' on the Pix when the IDS sensor actively manages the list of shun.

    Instead, go to IDM on the sensor and delete (delete) the shun:

    The probe won't do then the "no shun" automatically for you.

    Once the message is erased my computer works normally.  Ironically received a hoax call, claiming they were from Microsoft Support.  I did not claim.  Have security of Norton 360.  A run 'getcleaner' and ' getmalwarebytes.  A ran all the Microsoft diagnostic tools and still have the same problem.

    A new computer, arriving today, will be a year 1 subscription of McAfee internet security. I prefer not to activate, but rather to install and use one of my 3 licenses for Norton Internet Security 2013.

    The new Configuration screens computer Dell have one called 'security and dell updates' which saves both Dell and the McAfee subscription updates. No other choice except all cannot be ignored.

    If I skip this step, (1) this will prevent activation of McAfee (if not turned on, then maybe I can leave it on the computer should I want to later uninstall Norton and use McAfee, if possible)? and (2) separately, manually register updates Dell so I don't lose this Dell Update functionality?

    Just a niggling question that I can't get an answer for.

    What happens when a Group Policy object has some computer configuration settings that are the same as some user configuration settings?  Of course applied at startup computer settings and user settings are applied when the user logs on.  I just assume that user configuration settings will override the computer configuration settings?
