Computer do not update automatically?

Hi guys,.

I had a problem with my laptop, my laptop cannot automatically check updates and when I try to do so, an error pops up saying (an error occurred when the new updates for your computer and the error code is: 80073712?)
My laptop is Windows 7 (64 bit OS) of his HP laptop
Please helpp?

You can reset the Windows Update components by running the Fixit on this page. But if there is malware present, she will continue to reset the connection to the update servers:

How to reset the Windows Update components

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

Suggest you download and save the Fixit. Then configure the system before the clean boot by running:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista/Windows 7

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Once the Fixit has been downloaded and the system is started in the pure State, check that the native Windows Firewall is now on if a 3rd party firewall has been used previously. Now run the Fixit and choose the default mode. Restart once it's done and see if the system can be connected to the update servers. If he can't, then rerun the Fixit and choose aggressive mode. Turn it back on when he finished the race and updates.

I suggest before you stop and install the updates, disconnect from the Internet, first.

  • zone will not update automatically

    Hi all

I travel a lot around the United States moving in and out of different time zones (Pacific, mountain, Eastern, etc.) I have the time to internet synchronization implemented by using "time.windows.com"but my time zone do not update or synchronize with the time." Example: I have traveled to Pacific at the time of the Rockies recently time, but the time my laptop was still at the time of the Pacific.

Is there a way to get the time zone to update automatically the correct time zone, as does my Blackberry?

    Fine thanks

I don't think there is, but you can view an additional clock in a different time zone.

Go to the clock in the Notification area, right-click and select "set date/time".

Click the 'Additional clocks' tab and select the options of the clock you want.

It is done like this because changing the time of the computer can adversely affect program and process based on the clock being right...

I didn't know anything about these 3 critical updates. I found them, by chance, allowing Microsoft to determine whether there are updates. I have the system plans to make the automatic updates.

    1. don't you get an error code / message when you try to update Windows?

    2. have you made any recent hardware / soft ware past to the computer before this problem?
