Configuration of Mail of the Apex

Hi all

We have developed and Apex, monitoring system and my boss what to set up mail it contains.

I found this doc a fight how > http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/ doc.41 /e21678/adm_mg_service_set.htm#AEADM210

But I am confused to choose which of the 2 options?

1. configure the e-mail in a complete development environment
2 configure the e-mail in a runtime environment

Is it the 1st or the 2nd?

We have in our office e-mail system because we can send and receive e-mails. How can I find out where our SMTP server?

Thank you very much

Welcome!

    Hello

    I had a request to APEX 3.1, and recently, I've migrated to 4.1.

    Everything is good, but for e-mail. I put the SMTP server and port correctly, but emails are not rushed.

    They are struck in the queue. What could cause this problem? Any help on this appreciated.

    When you connect to your Apex INTERNAL workspace and the glance at the queue of mail are there errors when you try to force send it?

    It is usually a problem with ACL. You will probably need to grant access between your database server and your mail server.

  • Carriage returns in Textarea field in the mail of the APEX

    Hi all
    I have a form that users fill out and when he clicks on submit uses APEX Mail to send the content to individuals in an HTML format. A field is a text box where the individual enters information like the example below:
    First to Arrive:  Bob
    Second to Arrive: Jane
    Third to Arrive: Sandy
    Last to Arrive: Fred
    When the message is received, instead of on a single line, each entry follows another as:

    First to arrive: Bob second to arrive: third arrived Jane: Sandy last to arrive: Fred

    I posted to get the fields of the form to show carriage returns and that works very well. Now, trying to figure what to add in order to make sure that this line breaks are like html br tags broken handles. Any help and examples would be appreciated.

    Thank you

  • link to clickable e-mail in the apex report

    Hello

    I have the emails of information to store in a table and would like to make this clickable email.
    Is this possible? How?

    I've been able to do in forms, but don't know how it might be made on the classic interactive reports.

    Thank you very much for your help!
    LC

    You can change your column attributes in your interactive report.

    Set your text link "Email User" or what you want... If you want the text to be the email address then it would #COLUMN_NAME # (substitute COLUMN_NAME column name that contains the e-mail address.
    In the column link section set your target URL
    In the URL field, you can set it to mailto:#COLUMN_NAME#

    I hope this helps.

  • Email from the apex

    Hello everyone,

    I've never used mail of the Apex and I was wondering how I can achieve this. I have a form with interactive report that has a field with an email address. What I would do is, when the user clicks on the address field of e-mail on the report page, their own email will pop up with e-mail from shippers like e-mail selected according to the report. For example: when I click on [email protected] on the report page interactive, my email from my computer opens with the TO: [email protected].

    Is this possible? I have no idea where I need start. I know there are a lot of mail Apex that we can use, but I don't know how I can use it. Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello Jacek,

    There is a nice blogpost on this topic: [url http://monkeyonoracle.blogspot.com/2009/11/plsql-and-gmail-or-utlsmtp-with-ssl.html] PL/SQL and Gmail (or UTL_SMTP with SSL). It is based on the use of stunnel to make the SSL part, you don't need to configure the database to do this.

  • attach a remote file to an e-mail in the oracle apex

    I know that it is possible to send messages through apex oracle using apex email with an attachment with the following code.

    DECLARE

    l_id NUMBER;

    BEGIN

    l_id: = APEX_MAIL. SEND)

                p_to        => ' [email protected] ',

                p_from      => ' [email protected] ',

    p_subj = > 'APEX_MAIL with attachment. "

    p_body = > "Please see the attachment."

    p_body_html = > ' review of < b > please < /b > the attachment ');

    C1 (SELECT filename, blob_content, mime_type

    OF APEX_APPLICATION_FILES

    WHERE ID IN (123 456)) LOOP

    APEX_MAIL. ADD_ATTACHMENT)

    p_mail_id = > l_id,

    p_attachment = > c1.blob_content,

    p_filename = > c1.filename,

    p_mime_type = > c1.mime_type);

    END LOOP;

    COMMIT;

    END;

    /

    but, I want to attach a remote file to a mail sent by apex oracle instead of the content of the blob object

    p_attachment = > c1.blob_content,

    for example, I want to attach a file, for example "D:\sample.pdf" as an attachment in the mail.

    I want to know if it is possible and if possible how?

    Hello

    If your file is located on a remote FTP server and that you have permissions to access and read the file, you can use a PL/SQL's FTP API to retrieve your file from the remote FTP server:

    https://Oracle-base.com/articles/Misc/FTP-from-PLSQL#PLSQL-FTP-API

    -Retrieve a binary file on a remote FTP server.

    DECLARE

      l_conn UTL_TCP.connection;

    BEGIN

      l_conn := ftp.login('ftp.company.com', '21', 'ftpuser', 'ftppassword');

      ftp.binary(p_conn => l_conn);

      ftp.get(p_conn => l_conn,

      p_from_file => '/u01/app/oracle/product/9.2.0.1.0/sysman/reporting/gif/jobs.gif',

      p_to_dir => 'MY_DOCS',

      p_to_file => 'jobs_get.gif');

      ftp.logout(l_conn);

    END;

    /

    Then you can import the file into a BLOB data type:

    https://Oracle-base.com/articles/8i/import-BLOB

    DECLARE

      l_bfile BFILE;

      l_blob BLOB;

    BEGIN

      DBMS_LOB.createtemporary(l_blob, TRUE); -- Initialize the BLOB.

      l_bfile := BFILENAME('MY_DOCS', 'jobs_get.gif');

      DBMS_LOB.fileopen(l_bfile, DBMS_LOB.file_readonly);

      DBMS_LOB.loadfromfile(l_blob, l_bfile, DBMS_LOB.getlength(l_bfile));

      DBMS_LOB.fileclose(l_bfile);

      DBMS_LOB.freetemporary(l_blob); -- Relase the resources associated with the temporary LOB.

    END;

    /

    Now you have the BLOB that you can pass as a parameter to the api APEX_MAIL.

    Kind regards

    Yes, as you directed in the code snippet included listener Web Oracle APEX Documentation Options, Services (ORDS) data Oracle REMAINS usable as a PDF as FOP support print server is included in the ADR 2.0 and later (last ADR 3.0).

  • Configuration of e-mail in the Cloud Service (Schema) database

    Hello

    I try to use APEX_MAIL for emailing. Before using it, where can I configure the SMTP host, port... etc in my Cloud Service database. ??

    I tried, connect to the console of the APEX of my database, Administration tab but I have not found any place to set this information.

    I use DB cloud service associate of JCS-SAAS Extension (trial version)

    Thank you

    Lucette

    You have checked spam folder? The mail_send_error of the column in the apex_mail_log table contains something? To test, I used a Yahoo account that gives an error when the same account was used as the sender. Then try with different vendors and different email accounts...

  • How to dynamically change the last part of the url inside the body HTML in e-mail send to Apex process

    Hello

    I need to change the last part of the URL sent by post in the apex dynamically. I have a requirement that a person can register itself with a new user name and other details. When the user clicks on the button register after you have entered all the required values in the page all values will be inserted into the user_details_repository table in the database. At the same time an email with a url link is sent to the user admin for the assertion. When the admin user, click on the link it is redirected to a page where all the details submitted by this particular user is displayed. The admin user can confirm or reject the new user registration. If the admin user says, all the data repository of this particular user table will be inserted in a main table named user_details and data will be deleted from the repository table. Yet once if the admin user rejects, all the data repository of this particular user table will be deleted.

    For this, I have created two pages for this and all of the features mentioned above works correctly except change the link url each time a letter is sent to the admin user when a new user register itself. To send email, I created send e-mail process. I need to change the last word/part of URLs within html body according to the username provided by the new user.

    for example, the url to another user will be like this:

    http://localhost: 8080/apex/f? p = 103:9:3849261906471:NO:USERNAME:Namrata

    http://localhost: 8080/apex/f? p = 103:9:3849261906471:NO:USERNAME:Madhura

    Help, please.

    If there is another way to achieve the same thing please answer.

    Thank you

    Nilesh

    Hi Nilesh,

    You can use a Page element as a substitution variable in the body of the HTML message.

    for example, blah blah blah & P123_MY_PAGE_ITEM. blah blah blah

    The syntax is an ampersand in front of the name of page element and a point after the name.

    brgds,

    Peter
