Connect password

My connection password is often not recognized, and I need to change to get it working again. Then he worked for a while and stops working again when I switch the computer the next day. I know that I don't use that bad because I write it. No explanation?

Thank you!

It is a question of Mac OS X... What version of OS X?

If you are using XP Home Edition, the built-in Administrator account probably doesn't have a defined password. You can start in safe mode, where this account will be selectable when connecting. It allows to connect and change the password of any other connection.

To start in safe mode, keep hitting F8 twice a second after turning on the PC until you get the start menu where safe mode is selectable by the up/down arrow keys, and then press ENTER.

If you are using XP Professional, try to connect using the built-in Administrator account. You don't need to do it in safe mode (although you can if you wish). If your normal login screen is a display of the user symbol and hit ctrl-alt-del twice to get to login to text entry. Type administrator as the user name and try a blank password.

  • How to jump the connection password re-boot...

How to ignore the connection password re-boot while it self-connections me?

In XP, TweakUI was a setting to do this, but it comes to Windows 7?

There is an option for her, but it's pretty hidden, because it leaves your unsecured computer (anyone who circulated happens not only to all your files, but they can also get to any Web page you visited, like facebook or even your bank).

If you are sure you want to do, here's how:
1 - Press Windows-R to open the run, and then type the following command and press ENTER: control userpasswords2
2 - clear the check box at the top (users must enter a password...) and then click OK
    3. set the default account, you want to connect to from the context menu that appears, and then click OK once more
    All together.

Don't remember my password to connect

    Hello

If you are running Windows 8 or 8.1, see the Microsoft page on the following link.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows-8/forgot-Windows-password

Note:  If you have a Local account, try the free app here.

If you are running Windows 7, Vista etc, try the following.

Using another PC, download the app from the following link and save it in your downloads folder.

    PC login now

Once the download is complete, open your download folder and double-click on the installer - this will result in another file, which is the disk image (.) ISO) you need to burn to a blank CD.

Now, you will need to use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.

When the disk has been created, shut down the PC you can not log on, press the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to access the Start Menu, insert the CD, select Boot Options (usually f9), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press enter - peut also have you to "Press any key" to boot from the CD if asked to.

Follow the instructions on the guide here to remove the current password.

    Kind regards

  • Remove a connection password

In Windows XP, I would like to remove a password from a user account that I forgot?

Connection to another administrator-level account, open Control Panel, go to user accounts and change password of another user.

If there is no administrator account on the system, you can start safe mode to access the built-in Administrator account.  Since this fail-safe account, you can force - reset your account password.

    1. Turn off the computer and wait 30 seconds.
    2. Turn on the computer and immediately start pressing F8 (or hold down the key).
    3. On the next screen, select Safe Mode.

Now that you are in safe mode, you can use the backup Administrator account built for perform you a necessary recovery. Built in Administrator account should not be used for any other purpose, or it is not available in such situations when you need it.

    1. On the login screen, select the administrator account.
    2. After the Safe Mode boot, open the control panel / user accounts.

    Hello

Go to your router admin pages...

    • Click Start, type cmd, and then on enter.
    • In the black window resulting type ipconfig and press to enter.
    • The router admin pages is accessible by ip address which is defined as the value default gateway for the network connected to your router device.
    • Open a browser and type http:// (the gateway ip address is in the format x.x.x.x, where x is a number, probably 192.168.x.x).
    • This should open a login page of your router. A user name is admin. typical passwords are password, admin and blank (no password).
    • If the user name and passwords you try do not work, see the documentation or go to your router manufacturer's website help pages.
    • Once connected to the appearance for wireless settings/security/encryption links.

  • I have a problem with Windows accepts only not the connection password.

Original title: why have I lost my windows login password?

    Hello
It's strange. Suddenly, I found that my Windows 7 login password is more accepted. Of course I made sure that caps lock is not on, typed correctly, etc. I have made no changes in the system and have had the same connection for more than a year.
I restored it with system restore (good to enter Safe Mode was not easy... topic for another time).
So now I'm back to normal and created a password on a flash drive recovery disk.
But, why or how would it happen?
    Very curious.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

    Jack

If you were able to get in Mode safe without logon then automatic logon mode must have previously been activated.

To find out what happened to your password you could do this:
    1. Log in under your spare admin account.
    2. Click on the globe to start, and then type the three letters cmd into the search box and press ENTER.
    3. Enter the following command and press ENTER:
      NET user 'Jack '.
The command will tell you everything about the account of Jack, for example when the account of the last use and what was his password has changed. This implies, of course, that you have a fully tested alternative admin account. Having one would have saved you perform a system restore, even as having a spare House key removes the need to break a window...

  • ICloud why my device connection password?

Just changed my macbook air account login user password and then iCloud began asking me to enter my new passwords, to continue to protect data stored in iCloud.  So this is something new, I've been using iCloud for several years and have not seen elsewhere.  Why my device user password account would need apple/icloud?  So I called applecare and they explained that it was because I had turned on to apple two factor authentication (should not be confused with two-step authentication).  They said apple cannot access my device passwords.   Guess we should just trust them.   It seems precarious to someone else?  Whenever I have change my device password I (we) have to give them to apple, if you want to use authentication in two steps.  Just a thought.

No, it seems very sure of myself.

  • MBP stops at the screen without the possibility to insert the connection password

Mid 2012 rMBP, following key power the log on screen is displayed, but even if the mouse/trackpad is active there is no active option to insert my password to continue the boot process, a reboot of the PRAM sometimes cure the issue, but on the next startup the problem remains. Is it a warning of a more serious problem or is there another process, I can do to cure the issue?

It may be just a corrupted preference or a cache file. I would first do a Safe Mode boot and then restart your computer normally. This is going to take longer than a usual start just so be patient. This clears and regenerates a few system caches. If that is not enough then I suggest that you try to reinstall OS X. If you no longer have your Installer to Yosemite, then see this: How to reinstall OS X on your Mac - Apple Support.
