Connect to the server, Oracle, 11.2.0.1.0, Windows 2008
There are two Windows 2008 Server: SIGA (database server), SIMBA (application server). On GIS, Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 database has been installed. It's tnsnames.ora reads as follows. Execution "TNSPING SIGA" works very well. TNSNAMES is used to resolve the name.
GIS =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = SARABI.lionsland.local.de)(PORT = 1521))
)
(CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = ORCL))
)
The SIMBA, Oracle Client 11.2.0.1.0 has been installed. It's the tnsnames.ora is identical to the above. Running "PING SIGA" works very well. The name is resolved to 192.168.1.201. However, execution 'TNSPING SIGA' fails "12535 TNS Timeout". The track is given below. I don't understand where is the problem.

Hello
What version of Windows operating system do you use?
I suggest you to consult the following Microsoft article and check if it helps.

ORA-28547: connection to the server has failed, probable Oracle Net admin error
Hello
Environment
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production CORE 11.2.0.1.0 Production TNS for Linux: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
I'm ORA-28547: failed to connect to the server, probable Oracle Net admin error when connecting to the database as username/password@orcl,If, I do not @orcl it connects without any problems. But I can't connect from client machines without dbstring.
This problem started recently, and I understand that it is because of the dynamic ip of the linux machine. Previously the Linux m/c ip was 172.25.210.177 unfortunately was launched once the machine ip has changed in 172.25.210.148.
To bring the database up I started as usual and got to the top, but when connecting db with the above error is being username/password@orcl.
To solve the i changed the ip address in tnsnames.ora and listener.ora but no luck. Please advice how to solve.
It will run until the next change of the ip address. If you want a permanent solution, you must assign a static ip address. Why is your dynamic ip address? What is a local testbox.foobar.com or a production system that must be accessible to other systems?

This started happening when the server has been restarted. I don't know if I have to stop any service, as in some cases under Linux should be stopped service iptables.
The solution I found on most of the forums is to change in sqlnet.ora since '#SQLNET. AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NTS) 'to' #SQLNET. AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NONE)"and restart the receiver.
But even if it doesn't in my case.
Kindly help.

Guys, there are 2 databases installed on the same server, to correctly configure the SID. Once set, I could see that the database is down and when starting it started working well.
Thanks for your efforts.

Establish a connection with the server
Hello
Read the docs and came across two ways to establish a connection with the server of a customer.
' (1) easy login:-sqlplus hr@\"//mymachine.mydomain:port/MYDB\.
(2) name of network service:-sqlplus hr@MYDB.
While establishing a connection to a server, we use sql * net services (if not jdbc or odbc), which should be present at the server end and the customer. So what is the fundamental difference between the mechanisms of above two connections?
Thank you and best regards,
Saidi.See http://www.orafaq.com/wiki/EZCONNECT.
The difference is described in the first line.

APOORVAHi Apoorva,
Is there a way you can use the EL expression #{securityContext.authenticated} in your template?
As you can see in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16182/adding_security.htm#BGBIFHDF teturns true if the user is logged on and returns false if the user is not connected, then maybe it can help you hide or redirect these links depending on whether the user is already logged in or not. A way to redirect an af:goLink using a clove of support.

Install of new problem-unable to connect to the server from a remote client DB.
Hi experts,
I am new to set up a server oracle so pls bear with me...
I have install a db Server (11g on top of Oracle Linux 64 bit) home (192.168.1.90 static). I checked that db, listener are running. However, I tried to connect to the server from a different client machine (192.168.1.108) within my home network, but the server is not reachable. I got a ping from client and the server using IP addresses and host names. I followed the following steps to troubleshoot but could not go beyond the step 3, the server on port 1521 telnet-ing. Can someone help me what I need to do to make the port # (1521) is accessible by the customer?
1. check with the 'ping' using the IP ('ping 198.11.34.43'
2. check with 'ping' using the DNS (for example "tnsping uranus")
3. try telnet to the IP address on port 1521 (telnet 1.2.3.4 1521)
4. check with "tnsping" using the TNS service name
5 call SQL * more of the line command «sqlplus fred@flintstone» operating system If this does not work, make sure your receiver is the defined service of flintstone.
6 sign - on to SQL * more and connect with the name TNS ('connect fred/flintstome@service_name'
7 in SQL *, try a select table@remote_db_link
Thank you very much in advance.Hello
(1) problem can be because of the firewall. Please check if the firewall turned on for your environment
(2) check sqlnet.ora, you can allow requests only from specific systemsThank you
