Connected to my tv I don't see screensaver and icons. How can I see the icons? __

I have connected my laptop to my TV, but cannot see that my screensaver. I can't see my screen icons or toolbar. How to see these?

Hello blueboro,

1. are you able to move the mouse on the secondary monitor (TV)?

2. How have you connected your TV to the computer using VGA or HDMI?

You can try the methods below to resolve this issue.

Method 1:

It seems to me that the TV is set as a secondary monitor and all the icons are displayed only in the primary monitor.

I suggest that you try adjusting your TV as primary monitor and check if the icons and the taskbar appear in TV. You can also check if the monitor is set to double in the mirror of the office.

You can access these options:

a. right-click on an empty space on the monitor and click graphics properties.

b. you may have to the option that says, in double or mirror monitors.

You can see the underside of article that will give you more information on this parameter checking:

Method 2:

If this parameter is already defined, I suggest that you try to update the drivers for your graphics card as your current version of the graphics card could not support multiple views. You can check the below article which will give you information on how to update the drivers:
