Connected to several tissue FC UCS?

Hello

I * think * it's possible, but I can't find any diagram / documentation confirming this:

Is this OK to connect with UCS fabric interconnect modules to more of a FC fabric? (IE 2 tissue Brocade by module?)

Am I correct in my thinking that the creation of separate VSANS for each fabric should do the trick?

Thanks & best regards,

Radek

Radek, yes it is possible. I did recently to a customer, we connected a fabric Brocade and QLogic to both FIs and UCS. We put ports Brocade FC and vHBAs in a VSAN and he QLogic in the other. It was very cool, because this allowed the customer to access the two tissue of a single serere without ISL fabric 2 together.

  • Connection of several 6248

    Hello all!

I have currently 2 x PC6248 which are stacked with stacking YY741 module and 2 x cables Dell F4XF - F4XF 1 m between them and that's all working well.  # See the battery port shows that xg1 and xg2 are used on both switches xg3 xg4 is both down.  It's what I expected.

I need to add more than two switches, but they will be at a distance.  The first would be about 15 meters and the second would be between 75 and 100 meters.  Can I use cables of F4XF-F4XF that eager to 'stack' switches and if so, where can I find this length cables?  If I can do that, can I go out with just 1 cable to the remote switches?  (Yes, I know that it would be only a 12 GB of interconnection).

If the answer above is no, then I can put 2 x gbic ports xg3/xg4 on both the existing switches and and 4 x gbic in xg1 - xg4 on new switches and connect interconnect two new switches on optical fiber LC - LC, going to this length?  (Yes, I know/xg1 xg2 are not usable in the existing stack).  If I can do it this way, what gbic would I get?  Can I use any LC - LC gbic or are there specific gbic, should I use?  And how to configure all switches?  I have several VLANs in the existing stack.  My config is attached below (if you see errors, feel free to say yes lol), it's pretty basic.  All chassis #1 ports are in use with some on chassis #2.  Currently, with only 2 switches in the battery, everything works perfectly.

This distance is too far for stacking. Module stacking both 10GE CX4 module can be configured for each role (Ethernet or stacking). By default, each module works according to its module ID. Change the role of a module, a reboot is necessary for the change to take effect. However, I believe that the distance for stacking cables max is about 3 meters. And the limit of CX4 cable is 15 meters.

Other modules for the back of the switch are a 10GBase-T, part # X901C. The 10GBase-T module settle only in 2 Bay (right when viewing the back Bay). And a module SFP + 10GE, part # U691D.

Combo on the front of the switch ports ports SFP 1 GB. Combo ports have a combined input and output of the PHY chip. Only the optical port or RJ-45 port ACR be used individually, but not at the same time. Any cable is connected will first use the port PHY.

The fiber option that should meet your needs is a SFP - 1 G - SX transceiver. This transceiver uses the LC multimode fiber and it is good to 550 m. part # 407 - BOU

With switch connections involving several VLANs, you will want to use connections in Trunk mode. For the switch connections you do not use portfast.

    # interface port-channel 1

    # switchport mode Trunk

    # switchport Trunk letter vlan add 2,3,4,5,6

I hope this helps answer some of your questions.

  • Loss of connection network several times a day while actively using internet. Will not stop after that.

I read a lot of posts on the Vista network connections problems when changing modes of consumption, or when the wireless adapter is inactive. None of them apply to me because I lose my network connection when I have my laptop plugged in and I'm actively using the internet (for example, watch movies online). After trying "diagnose and repair" options, nothing seems to work. The only way I found to get internet again is to restart my computer. What makes it still more difficult, is that after that happens, my computer doesn't shut down normally. It freezes at the blue screen that says "shutting down". Whenever this problem with the network connection happens I am forced to make a difficult start (hold the power button until the power is off) if I want to use the internet again. It's only happened for about a month, and it's happened before and after that I installed Service Pack 2. I don't remember installing any software a month ago with the exception of Windows updates that I can't uninstall (the button uninstall is hidden for some updates). Any help I can get would be much appreciated because it is very frustrating to have hard to start my laptop several times a day in order to continue to work on this.

    -Sam Goodrich

    Hi Sam

I regret that no one answered earlier.

Since you don't have physical access to the router, this will make the diagnosis very difficult.  And, given that this problem is intermittent, once again, very hard to track down what is causing the problem.  You can very well just to lose the intensity of the signal.

I mentioned the switch on the laptop because if anything goes wrong, who "could" cause this problem, and given that the laptop is no longer under warranty, you will not be able to have your factory repair it (for free of course).

I don't see what other suggestions from the Forum can give you.  Once again, with this problem being sparadic (intermittent) and since you share Internet access with someone else and do not have physical access to the router for troubleshooting purposes, my hands are basically related...

  • Connect a mounting rack system UCS stand-alone server

    Hello

I read somewhere on the dcoumentation this server from Cisco to stand alone as c210, c250 can be attached to the UCS Interconnect fabric. Can some expert cisco shed some light in there?

    I think I know,

I'll have to plug the UCS FI External rack mount FEX and Cisco servers connecting to the FEX. Can someone clarify?

What are the system requirements for the configuration above to UCS?

I configured ports UCS FI as server ports and connect them to an external FEX with Twinaxial cable. But the ports are the link down. Cable Twinaxial is supported? I have to do additional configuration that we do when you plug a Nexus 5000 on a FEX?

    Any help would be apprciated.

  • Connect under several accounts with Windows view customer

I need to be able to hold several sessions of view from a Windows machine. I have a user that connects so that new users to configure their profile. She must be able to keep his show logged in while she connects under the second account. I can open a second session of the view, but he always uses the same credentials. I need to be able to open the customer to see twice using different credentials. Is this possible?

Not supported: you can run ' wswc - standalone "to get a new customer to launch and no not just to refocus the original instance.

  • Users connect in several sessions, even if they are not allowed to...

Does anyone know what would cause the SAME user to log on multiple sessions even if we do not allow several connections in our environment from view?

We've seen a lot with view 4.6.1 and sometimes with View 5.1.1.

According to me, the question is the desktop VM is selected for the user by the broker is busy doing something (100% CPU) and Agent of the view in the virtual machine is unable to process the request of the broker in a timely. I believe that the broker gives up after a few seconds of no response from the officer and then selects another available office.

So if the user disconnected from their office and then come back later, but their office has a blocked process in a loop and using 100% of CPU, the agent has a hard time getting back to the broker for the broker gives up and chooses another office.

Desktop computers that we use are WinXP SP3 with 1 vCPU and 2 GB of ram.

  • UCM single server connected to several portals, Webcenter

    Hello

Is it possible to connect a single server instance of the Complutense University of MADRID with several instances of webcenter Portal? If Yes, then what are the things to take care problems of simultaneity avoide? No special attention that needs to be addressed when defining the connection?

    Kind regards
    Sanjay

You can, and I don't think you really need to do something special.

If you want to use 1-AAU for several instances of webcenter spaces, then you might need to specify the names of different applications for each webcenter spaces but if its portal just webcenter, nothing special to do.

It of course depends on your security constraints... If you want to share documents on the portals, everything is beautiful OOTB, but if you want to hide the documents of a portal to another you might configure some security groups or accounts to make sure documents cannot read form one portal to another

  • Re: Connecting to several KVASER - HS of light both sheet...

I'm trying to connect 2 dongles Kvaser (USB) to my computer using LabVIEW in the same time...

They are connected to the computer with a hub USB, but that shouldn't make a difference.

I: CANKing CAN bus program monitors and the SDK Kvaser and their LabVIEW library-installed everything.

When I run CANKing, the program can detect USB devices and also 2 virtual channels - 4 in all.

When I call the CanGetNumberOfChannels.vi the value returned is 3 - but should be 4.

I'm assuming that the CANKing program uses the same API calls.

Any ideas why the second device is not recognized?

I've seen this behavior before, it is almost impossible to cleanly unload the Kvaser dll when it is bad.  Can help restart LabVIEW.  If the hardware configuration tool Kvaser shows 4 channels, then the call of the CanGetNumberOfChannels dll should share.  It is not a good idea to add or remove a device with the driver loaded.

    All the best,

    Michael.

  • Connection of several call library function node

First of all, I apologize if some of these issues are pretty basic. For my work, I have been teaching myself LabVIEW (using one of the books) for the last two months, in addition to a course of semesters of C++ software development. I have flowed through a few examples from the book and have searched these forums + google search, but I found the contradictory and confusing information on how to manage the C string data.

I have attached a photo of the block diagram, the real VI and a manual describing the .dll file I'll call you. My real application is more complicated than what I've built here (I installed a trial version free at home, since I can't bring my lab computers files due to their having no do not have access to the internet...) There install everything for us, but it's a side story!), but deals with execution other than that, as I have the VI wrapped around an imposing event that runs based on which side a user presses the button, messages pop up additional user, etc..

In the end, I'll implement a program which allows a user presses a single button that sends a bunch of instructions to an instrument, where requested orders have been compiled by the society of the instrument in a couple of .dll files. The instrument itself be held the certain function specifications, so there is not much need to worry to get somewhere, out string parameters to be stored, and there is no reception data of the instrument: it simply distributes liquid charges based on what parameters I pass to it. Given the same internet connection problems, I have to wait a few weeks for my IT team installed a decompiler of .dll file on the computer that has installed LabVIEW so that I hope that I can directly import the header file in the Import Wizard. I worked out of their manual without even being able to look in the .dll file (which may be more documentation), and they do not have the more detailed documentation on their data types (even if maybe these data types are public knowledge, and I'm just missing something). I went ahead and copied + pasted some of their function prototypes + example code pages 16 and 17 of the provided pdf (it looks like to me a C calling convention):

Only four interested features me search piezo, open port, configure piezo and piezo installation, as seen on my block diagram. My questions concern only the setup functions / openport piezo and how I built the library call nodes function, since these would also address how to set up the other two. When running VI, I get the error code is 1517, with installation function highlighted, leading me to believe that I have this feature badly adjusted upward (and Potentially openport, explained in the next paragraph).

Function to open the port has two string parameters that are passed by reference, and configure the function takes one of the following strings as a call by value. Can I just wire them together as I did, or is it necessary to do something in the sense of adding a sub - VI GetValueAtPointer to dereference firstly, the pointer to the string and then spend the actual string on the second node?

To specify the data types in the function library call nodes, I have all channels like C strings, double as double, return numeric values as integers signed 32 (each function returns a digital long I think that for debugging purposes), Boolean as an integer 16 bit signed (after that I forced my Boolean constant in an integer) and one of my numbers in Setup as an integer no signed, as I was told in an e-mail from the manufacturer of the instrument. Should we indicate the call launched by numbers as constants value, or not, since they are not explicitly defined as constants in the code provided? Since they have been specified not as long, I am right to assume signed 16-bit integer for the passage by the digits of the value? Is the Boolean value a 8-bit or 16-bit and signed? If the function has a numeric parameter as a value call, I guess by the wiring in a digital constant, that this value is transferred to the function?

Again, I apoligize if these questions are too simplistic (and many of them), due to my limited experience programming and possibly scarce documentation of the company during the inspection. I look forward comments about the VI as well, if I had nothing at all just illegal/bad practice.

    Thank you for your time!

First of all, I'm really not familiar with C/C++ dll, but I remember something the DLL must contain the standard C functions to properly accessible from LabVIEW. I don't know if this is the case here, but lets see more will enlighten this part.

Second, whenever I have the chance to directly use the simple series commands, I go like this, and I create my own live LabVIEW. As I see in the attached pdf doc, it is possible to order the material through the series without using the DLL (on page 18). If these features meet your needs, I would really screw via VISA program, your life will be much easier...

  • Connection of several indicators of thermocouple in a diagram DAQ Assistant

I am a new user. I have 3 thermocouples connected to a DAQ card and I put all 3 channels on one of the blocks assistant DAQ in the block diagram. When I connect the data for 3 thermocouple indicators, they are all read the values of the round 1. How to read the other 2 channels?

    Thank you, Scott

  • AnyConnect to connect to several areas using

    Hello:

I have a situation where I need to be able to connect regularly to two different domains via VPN using the AnyConnect solution.  The behavior I see is that it is not as simple as changing the VPN address in the AnyConnect client.  The statistics window shows domain A in the administrative field when it is connected to the B field.

I am able to connect to domain B for about 30 seconds before the connection drops and I lose internet connectiivity until I close the client.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Jason,

It is good to know that you were able to reduce the problem to a DNS problem.

If you have any other questions, please mark this message as answered.

    Thank you.
