contents of the copy of the PDF file generated using Pagemaker 6.5C

My colleague has generated a set of PDF files generated using Pagemaker 6.5C (Mac version).

Now I want to copy the contents of PDF files (many Chinese words).

How can not highlighted all Chinese characters, when I tried to copy them.

Although I can highlight most of Chinese characters, I got a lot of weird as sighs "#!" "$#" but not original content.

You say please what can I do to get the Chinese characters copied (100%)?

Thank you very much!

You need the exact fonts of your colleague, and even in this case, it may not work if they subset fonts in the pdf file. Your best bet is to get your colleague to copy the text for you in a format that you can use, but even in this case, you will need the fonts, pagemaker is rather limited in the fonts that can be used and required a lot of special fonts in order to work.

    Acrobat X (Standard and Pro) will save tabular data in XLS or XLSX format, it can recognize the table as being a table. If the PDF file has missing or incorrect structure tags, Acrobat will try to guess the tabular presentation by the position of the text and lines on the page - this works well for basic formatting, but if the table has a complex style, spans cells etc. it can cause problems.

    Acrobat X will try to export a table in a scanned document, by applying the OCR during the stage of export - yet once this is based on the table identified visually.

  • Windows 7 64 bit, I can't find the content of the pdf file.

    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit has been installed.  I can't search the pdf content.  I looked at the index options.  The field in front of pdf has been verified but description says filter registered ifilter is not found.  So, I googled adobe ifilter and installed it.  I have rebuilt the index. But this does not solve the problem. He finds only the name of the file.
    What can I do?

    I checked another PC with Vista 64 bit.  He can do either.  He also said that registered ifilter is not found in the indexing option.
    Also, I've seen a windows 7 Compatibility Center and he stated that compatibility Adobe ifilter information will soon be available. I guess they don't know yet.

    Right, you must contact Adobe and ask them when they GET around it.

  • Difference in size of the PDF file generated between distiller 6.0 and 10.0

    Hello

    We are currently using Distiller server 6.0.1 on Windows server 2003 to convert PS to PDF, we want to improve our operating system to Windows server 2008 R2 but Distiller server is not supported on this point.

    so we evaluate Acrobat distiller 10 which comes with Acrobat x pro, but we have noticed a slight difference in the size of the generated PDF, for even the server PS distiller 6.0 generated PDF

    file size of 55KO so that Acrobat distiller generated 10 PDF file is 53 KB. The output looks like even, but I was wondering is it safe to continue further with the difference in file size, it would be good

    If you could provide any idea why the file sizes are different between these two versions.

    Thank you

    Note:

    You may not use Adobe Acrobat on a server.

  • all of a sudden I can't place the pdf files in a pagemaker document!

    It seems that this has happened after I have installed/updated acrobat? or after installing CS4?  I get an error message I have ever received before; "don't know how to put this file", then I can choose the file type. Can I put pdf files in the same document that has not been saved in the new version of acrobat, anyone know what I'll do?

    PageMaker is old will not accept worm 1.4 so save in "Can be opened with Acrobat version 5 or later" when you use your current version of Acrobat (or change your Distiller joboptions).

    If you have CS4, use InDesign.

    Do you mean replaced by LabVIEW? If so, the function write key automatically adapts to the type of data that connect you to the Terminal value. Write Key is polymorphic and does not display the ' String is believed to write? F ' option if you right-click on the function and switch from automatic to string.

    I have attached a VI (LabVIEW 7.0) that shows examples of different ways to write and read a path to an INI.

    Open the INI created by this VI and compare the ways data are written and read from the file...

    [Backslash]
    PathAsString = "C:\\Documents and Settings\\pbrooks\\Desktop\\Escaped Backslashes.ini"
    PathAsPath = "/ C/Documents and Settings/pbrooks/Desktop/escaped Backslashes.ini.

  • Automatically rasterize all vector drawings (less the texts) in the PDF file

    Hello

    I looked at the Adobe Acrobat documentation and also within the frequently asked questions of this forum for this specific information was not found. If I missed something, please tell me

    I have a PDF file containing a lot of vector drawing made in Illustrator. The PDF file generated from Adobe InDesign. If the PDF file is a mixture of text and vector drawings.

    I want to send this PDF document on the web, but for some legal proposed, these vector drawings should all be rasterized. For sure, I can open each. Original document to HAVE, rasterize the content, then reissue the InDesign document (so the exported PDF file's text and all raster images).

    But, as I refer to 100 pages PDF, containing, at a minimum, 150 drawings vector, it takes a lot of time to open each work in Illustrator and manually generating a rasterized copy to use in the final PDF file.

    So the question is: is it possible (in Acrobat or any plug, approx...) to open a PDF document, then automatically rasterize any vector drawings (less the texts) in a specific resolution? For example, rasterize all at 150 pixels per inch.

    With the help of Acrobat DC under Windows OS 8.1.

    Thank you very much

    Gustavo.

    You do not miss anything, there is no Acrobat tool for this.

  • Cannot read the PDF files created by the FTP adapter

    Hello

    I cannot read the pdf files generated by the FTP adapter with its default settings.

    Can someone guide me how to proceed with him. I guess I have to change something in the mechanism of coding in the FTP adapter outbound connection Pool, but do not know what is to be.

    Thank you

    Richa

    Hi all

    I got the solution. I was unable to read .pdf files because the FTP adapter send files just by changing the extension of .xml to .pdf .txt is the reason why it was not readable.

    We had to write a java code to convert the .xml file .pdf and then PAA to the FTP adapter.

  • Preventive action copy of the pdf file

    Hello

    I created a PDF book for students.

    Students get the book on my site.

    The student can enter the answers to homework in the book and send it to the teacher.

    On the first page, it enters:

    -email for teachers

    -name of teachers

    -Student e-mail

    -names of the students

    and saves the pdf file

    with thees fields the book knows where to send responses

    The teacher can then refer the rank.

    All work with FDF files.

    I need to warn students to simply copy the book and do not buy it?

    What is the way to do this?

    Thank you.

    Dan

    There is absolutely no way.

    You may want to consider DRM (Digital Rights Management), but this is likely to be off-budget. DRM does not stop a file to be copied, but retains the copy useless.

    Probably the best solution is to consider a server solution to stamp the student's name in the book. But who will probably not stop most of them.

  • Is there a way to detect if the PDF file is the original of our server, or a local copy.

    Hello

    We are currently generating very large PDF files in our industry that contains industrial revenue and users should always use the latest version (one located on the server - the pdf has always the same path and file name)

    We already had bad experiences when users were using a file that has been saved on the desktop and was obsolete.

    We want to do is only to print the PDF file from the server and disable printing when the file is on the desktop, or in any other place.

    So my question is: are there at - it a way to read the path to the file when printing and disable printing or use addwatermarkfromtext if the path is not the path to the server?

    I hope my question is clear and I will find a solution.

    Thank you.

    A script can be used to detect the location of the file, but you can't stop to print. However, you can display a warning label if it is not located at the desired location. So let's say you set a text field hidden with the warning message, called "PrintWarning". You can then use something like this as a script Will Print the file:

    if (this.path!="....") { // here you need to enter the path of the file on the network drive, which you can get from the console by executing this.path
        app.alert("Error! You should not print this file from your local computer!");
        this.getField("PrintWarning").display = display.noView; // The field will be visible on the print, but not on screen
    } else this.getField("PrintWarning").display = display.hidden;

    PS. I'm moving your question to the Acrobat JavaScript forum, where he is best.

  • insertPage RaiseError: an incorrect structure found in the PDF file

    Hello

    I am trying to create a button script that will create a new document, copy (insert) on the first page of the open document, save it, and then close it.  I think the part where it becomes difficult - and perhaps not feasible - is that the original document (source) using a model; plenty of form fields to be laid off as the new pages.

    In view of the above, ideally, the form user can click on the 'save a new page' button: it creates anj Inserted a copy of the first page of the form, free of content though everything has been registered, and excluding all other pages that may have been created.

    With the code that I use, it is currently creating the copy of the page and inserts it as the zeroeth page (in front of a blank page, I intend to add the code later to remove) and saves it.  However, there are some problems that arise with it.  First is the error code that is displayed in the debugger:

    RaiseError: An incorrect structure found in the PDF file

    New Doc.insertPages:29:AcroForm:Save form: Annot1:MouseUp:Action1

    = > An incorrect structure found in the PDF file

    Despite the error, he always saves the page (copy of the form) as mentioned above.  However, if you try to start working with him, he lets you know that there is no form field in the document (even if they are all there and apparently functional).   When I think of edit fields, it will ask if you want to try to recognize the fields.  If I click 'Yes', he said it was impossible, but then the form opens with all corresponding perfectly to the original domain names.  If I click on 'none' he just open the page with all the fields match again.  So I feel like I'm close to being able to do that!

    I use the following code to produce my results:

    (In the "app" of JavaScript, I have the following functions of confidence :)

    cPath: namePath,.

    Start: 0

    });

    app.endPriv ();

    });

    (On the 'Save a new form' button, the following code is activated :)

    First double document path in a table

    var aPathComps = this.path.split("/"); "

    Get the name of the file to off the end of the array of

    var myFileName = aPathComps.pop ();

    var path = aPathComps.join("/");

    var = myTrustedNewDoc() myDoc.

    myTrustedSaveAs (myDoc, path + "' / test.pdf '");

    myTrustedInsertPage (myDoc, this.path);

    myDoc.resetForm ();

    myDoc.closeDoc (true);

    I apologize for the long post and I appreciate anyone who takes the time to review this question for me.

    The reference to "structure" will be on the tags. Use the display of labels and remove all the tags, the problem should disappear.

  • 33.1 FireFox will not display the PDF file from the website of the Bank after 33.1

    I asked this question in a non-support ticket so I want to give more details here. I tried to uninstall Adobe reader and reinstall and it did not help. It worked before with all the exact same addins I had before. I called the Bank and asked if they had any problems and they say no. I can go to the Firefox PDF display for this file and click Download the PDF file, then double-click it in Windows Explorer and Adobe reader appears and displays the file very well. Don't mind what to do at the moment. What happens is the Bank to load the file then Adobe reader opens with a white screen and a small circle going round and round, like a video trying to play, and it is just there for always. I never see the content of the file. In any case I hope that your have a good of a day as I am and I know that it improves. Thanks Firefox programmers for such a wonderful program.

    Update: while I was writing this I thought to go in Firefox options, then Applications, and wouldn't you know, a PDF document has been set to "Preview in Firefox. I changed that to Adobe reader and now it works fine. Suppose that there is something wrong with the code in Firefox. So I'm happy now. Hope this helps someone.

    Yes, the built-in PDF Viewer is a work in progress. Glad you found a workaround, or go to your favorite configuration, depending on how you look.

  • 33 Firefox does not display a pdf file when using the response object

    33.0.2 Firefox does not display pdf files by using the code below in an asp.net program, that works for the previous versions of Firefox and also works with IE. I'm using the built-in pdf viewer. All my plugins are disabled.

               Dim strPDF As String
               strPDF = Session("filname")   'pdf filename

               Response.Clear()
               Response.ClearHeaders()
               Response.Buffer = True
               Response.ContentType = "application/pdf"
               Response.CacheControl = "Private"
               Response.AddHeader("Pragma", "no-cache")
               Response.AddHeader("Expires", "0")
               Response.AddHeader("Cache-Control", "no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate")
               Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "inline; filename=" + strPDF)
               Response.WriteFile(strPDF)

               Response.Flush()
               Response.Close()
               Response.Clear()
               Response.End()
               Session("filname") = ""

    What is the result of this code that Firefox receives through the headers of HTTP response if you check that the Live Http Headers extension?
