  I am a common user of the above function and for some reason it doesn't work anymore for me.

  When I try and convert a PDF file to word, there is a read error "the specified file cannot be written to. "It may be currently in use".

  It's strange, I have closed all other documents and restarted my computer several times but the problem persists.

  The problem is not specific to a single PDF document that I tried several conversion this morning without success.

  Also, when I try and open word documents that have recently been converted to PDF, I am unable to get into the document. MS Word reads the following error message:
  "The file open XML"NAME OF THE DOCUMENT... "Cannot open docx" because there are problems with the content or file name may contain characters that are not valid (for example, /-).

  I note the file name of the document has no of '-' or ' / ' in the name.
  Could you please tell what I need to do.

I click on this button and it takes me to the screen where I need to buy the software. I already bought the software that I have an account and so now I'm waiting to make it work.   The easiest way for me is if I can simply consider each page of the PDF as an image and convert the pdf file into a word document composed by images. Each page of the word document is an image.

  Then I can use an overlay with transparent textbox to insert the fields at my convenience.

  You know a method to do this with the results and a good resolution?

  Export pages as images is possible via the file > save as menu in Acrobat, but I don't see why you want to do. Acrobat can save a PDF file as a Word document ordinary.

  Delete history only removes information on the exported files. It does not remove the files.

  You can find all the converted files in the files tab to "https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf" and find the original PDF in the same place.
