Convert scanned PDF documents

I have PDF Pack and I'm trying to convert a scanned document to PDF and ultimately for MS Word.  How this is done?

Hi George,.

If the end goal is a Word document, I would recommend against converting to PDF format first, if possible a step further. What scanning software work? He recorded in a format that Word can open?

If you do not have access to the scanner software and save to PDF is your only option, then you would use ExportPDF (part of Adobe PDF Pack) to convert PDF Word. (To convert the file to PDF, choose Create a PDF file in the menu bar when you are connected to the Pack PDF to https://cloud.acrobat.com).

Best,

Sara

However, he cannot edit PDF files. you will need Acrobat for that.

A scanned document is just an image; even if it contains text, it is not searchable.

Put text in a scanned image available, you will need to perform the recognition of text (OCR), which can be made with Acrobat, but not the free player.

  • I have a scanned pdf document that I need to change?

I have acrobat pro XI, I read other discussions on the use of OCR or clear scan but I do not understand how to do it step by step. Can someone explain please once all the steps on how to edit, remove some text in a scanned pdf document? Thank you.

Not really something wrong, it's just one of the problems trying to edit in Acrobat. You can find maybe better record as a DOCX or other text file format, change here and recreate the PDF file. In this case, I would save the original file (DOCX or such) also for future use.

    Hello people,

I recently scanned a book in grayscale and this is what it looks like now:

When I open the document in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and click the page once, a nice light blue color appears:

Is anyone know how can I convert the entire document (200 + pages) in this beautiful color, please? Thus, the text remains still black... and it's easy on the eyes.

    Thank you.

This blue color means that the image is selected. You can easily apply

such a transformation of color in any application, such as Adobe photo editing

    Photoshop, but not in Acrobat.

  • How to change (deletion) parts of a scanned PDF document?

I just downloaded Acrobat DC and tries to use it to change a previously analyzed B & W document (the document is a scan of a full-size PDF of a sewing pattern - just the line drawings and text).

What I want to do is to delete (or at least hide) digitized a small part of some of the details on this document in order to insert a new text or make other corrections.  I can't find a tool anywhere on Acrobat DC that will allow me to select a small part of the PDF image and erase this part of the image within the selected limits, the way I can with Microsoft Paint for example.

Is there a 'Eraser' tool I'm missing?  Or another method to select and delete/remove a small part of an image PDF?  I certainly don't want to change the dimensions of the image, or affect the rest of the image by erasing a part - just hide all the section to white.

I would be grateful for any help with this.  If I can't get this to work, I'll have to cancel my trial subscription to Acrobat, because it is useless to me otherwise.   Thank you!

    Use the redaction tool.

  • Optimize scanned PDF document Options

    Hello

I'm scanning big A1 documents PDFs of color and I need to reduce the size of the file and also clean the image by removing the background noise in the image but keeping the details. I used the function to optimize the older version of Acrobat pdf I had which was 7. Now, I'm upgraded to 10 these options are no longer works for me. I don't get a reduced size and I no longer get a nice white background during optimization. It seems that some essential options are missing from the settings in Acrobat 7. Background removal is set to high, but it does not work. For now I'm stuck with the help of the file size reduction except option which is not enough to reduce it or remove background noise. Can anyone help?

    Steve

It turns out that it was just a problem to scan. After I recalibrated my scanner optimization problems have now been resolved.

  • How can I reduce my scanned PDF document?

I had to analyze my document into two separate parts because it was too much scanning. I'm trying to attach the same documents to an e-mail. Outlook to be precise. Outlook will not let me send attachments saying the attachments are too large. How can I reduce my documents with acrobat reader?

    1. using Acrobat (not Reader), you can OCR, and then optimize your scanned document to reduce the size of the file,
    2. better than to attach electronic documents to electronic mail is to use a file sharing service (Document Adobe Cloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive,...); Download the document, and then send the download shared by e-mail link.
  • My scanned pdf document is blacked out

When I open a pdf file, it is black?

Go to Edit - Preferences - Page Display and make sure that "Show large images" is checked. If that does not solve the problem, it is probably a problem with the way in which the file was created, who is not related to the reader that he cannot produce new PDF files, see only the existing.
