convert txt extension srt to rename jumps to txt

I am trying to download video subtitles.  I need to change txt to srt, but following the instructions - just remove the .txt from the file - does not work as the name of the skipped file just go back to the original. the format of srt.txt.  I found instructions saying that I need to go to Finder > Preferences > advanced and click on show all extensions of file name, I did, but that does not work either...

Just what are the commands you use?

I would use the Subtitle Edit Lite free from the Mac App Store app

  • How to convert txt Black 100% black

I use Illustrator CS3. I have a document which is defined as CMYK because I have photos and art. I want my text to 100% black. When I highlight text and check my palette of color it indicates 100% black. But when I opened the document in PhotoShop, CMYK and verify channels the text appears on all channels. What I am doing wrong?

When I open Illustrator here, all arrears are always 4 black color, so I don't think it's a problem of conversion of Photoshop profile.

Maybe you need to build a separate sample that you know to be 0,0,0,100, select an object, select a fill even (or STROKE) and then re-apply the new grade.

  • Restoring files to extensions of ".ptl".

    Hello

I have a Seagate Free Agent GoFlex 1 TB where I stored my photo film and audio files. Recently, when I went through my data, I noticed that few of these files have been converted to extension ".ptl". I don't know when this did happen and how? These are really important files for me and I need to restore them to their original format in order to access it. double click on the file '.ptl' is the head no the case. I went through the process of updating to my hard drive but of no use. also search google for it, but as of now, I couldn't find anything.
    Thank you

    Thanks for the help second.

I tried to rename the files and finally got tired, then the best option I had was to shift + delete, and it has solved everything and later continued on downloading things again.
  • Cannot open files with the EXTENSION of the PPT FILE

I can't open a file with the following extension using PowerPoint ppt. The message below is what I get-

The selected file is not a valid Microsoft PowerPoint file. It may be a file created by another program.

Try by double-clicking the file in Windows Explorer to see if another program opens to it. If PowerPoint opens again when you double-click the file in Windows Explorer, it is possible that the file is not a PowerPoint file, but its extension has been renamed to be that of a PowerPoint file type registered (for example, .ppt, .pptx, .pps, .ppsx, .pptx, .pot or .potx) but the file is not a PowerPoint file.

To determine which program can open the file, try one of the following:

    • Contact the original author (if known) to know what program you used to create this file. Then rename the file with the correct extension so that it can be opened by this program.
    • Try opening the file in other programs.
    • If you or someone you know, are very knowledgeable about software, review the file header in a text editor to determine which program can read the file.

Another possibility is that the file has been damaged during transfer from another computer. Trying to transfer the file again.

The file may be damaged. If you have a copy of the file backup, use it. It is not possible repair corrupted file.

  • Is there an extension that works with Dreamweaver CC to create imsmanifest SCORM?

I searched the forum and it seems that clear in respect of ADL SCORM 1.2 will not work in Dreamweaver CC. Can some please confirm this? Is there any extension like this will work with Dreamweaver CC? Manifest Maker for ADL SCORM 1.2 can still work in Dreamweaver CS6?  The extension can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail & extid = 1012681

I tried the steps described. I installed the ManifestMaker.mxp in the extension manager for CS6 via the link above. I went to the file extension and package ZXP, as suggested. When I did, I got a dialog box open.

Mxi is the only file option. The file that was installed in Dreamweaver CS6 is .mxp. So, who did not.

However, after I looked around, I found 'Convert MXP Extension to ZXP', under Tools.

It worked. I was able to install the .zxp file in the extension manager for Dreamweaver CC.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

  • The Windows XP Task Manager does not display the names of process image

I am running Windows XP with SP3. Image of process names are not displayed in the Task Manager, and in the column picker image process name, although is TICKING, is grayed out. I don't have the PID numbers. So I can't say what processes are underway. There are 57 processes running, that seems to be too many.   I tried running "tasklist > tasklist.txt"from command, prompt but it just flashes and nothing happens. " Does that mean I have a Trojan horse? What can I do about it?

    BDF

That seems good enough for me - now, we know that your XP version and Service pack, System brand and model, BIOS version, the amount of RAM installed, the size of your paging file according to NEC, your system has SATA drives and a few other things.

47 process may be OK depending on what you have installed and running on your system.

Looking at my notes, I see that I thought a while back that the tasklist.exe program does not come with XP, but there's a copy on my SkyDrive for you to download.

    Here's how:

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    https://SkyDrive.live.com/?CID=6a7e789cab1d6f39&ID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called tasklist when the name of the file should really be called tasklist.exe (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

Then, when you run tasklist > tasklist.txt, you should end up with a file tasklist.txt you can open it with a text editor.

Even if you think yous system may be achieved a malware, it has never hurts to run these free scans before troubleshooting:

No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:

Download, install, update and do a quick scan with these free malware detection programs (not at the same time) and remove all threats:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

SAS will probably report a lot of tracking cookies and you can just let him delete them.

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans by operating clean, restart, and then fix any problems.

  • Question: Can't create ZIP files in Windows 7 Home Premium

So, basically, here's the deal.  Whenever I try to make/create a file ZIP containing separate files or even containing a single file, I get an error message.

"Could not complete the operation.  Access is denied. "

I am the administrator and I should have complete and total control right?  I need to create folders zip for the work, but the only way I can do right now is with WinRAR, which works very well, but I don't want to pay $40 more for something that I should be able to do that through Windows.

Anyone have thoughts or ideas on why I can't make ZIP (compressed) files?

    Help!

in regards to the third task... There is no merge option when you right click on it from the desktop.

I guess only he saved for you with the .txt extension. Just rename the .reg file, but...

On the previous message and the 2nd task, try this:

    1. Press the Windows key + R > type regedit and press enter
    2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.zip\OpenWithProgids
    3. In the right pane: right-click on the WinRAR.ZIP > delete
    4. You can also check these two keys:
      • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.zip\OpenWithProgids (there should be only (default) and CompressedFolder )
      • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.zip\UserChoice (this should not exist)
    5. Close the registry editor and restart your system.
  • VOD works with HTTP but not RTMP

I have a few FLV videos that I can't work with RTMP streaming using VOD app and player of strobe.  Locally, they play fine in VLC media player.  It will also play properly in the flash drive so accessible with an HTTP request.  When I try to listen to using the RTMP protocol, reading seems to be normal and I can get to anywhere in the video.  However, playback will stop randomly at different points in the middle of the video.  If the player to debug, I see that NetStreamTimeTrait becomes NetStreamCodes.NETSTREAM_PLAY_COMPLETE.

Can someone tell me how can I solve the FLV file, or what steps I can take to understand why playback will stop at the beginning?

These videos were captured using the Wowza DVR app, and I used a HDS capture utility to recompose the video in a FLV.  The resulting FLV file was missing the duration metadata, so I used "yamdi" to inject the missing metadata.  I also tried "flvfix" utility without effect.

Extension .mp4 as renaming does not work... You will have a tool to convert your FLV to mp4 videos.

  • Conversion of an include before including file name

    Hello

I have several include files with the .shtml extension in the file name. The .shtml files, however, containing simple html. I need to use the file extension shtml due to a requirement of my host. Long story.

In any case, I use the following entry to include it in my news.php file: <? PHP include ('franchise_header.shtml');? >

When the news.php file is uploaded to the server and treaty, php treats him * *.shtml file and wants to treat it as an SSI file. Once that happens, I get errors. What I have to do is to get php to display the file as 'franchise_header.txt '. Once includes have the extension .txt file everything works fine since php see the extension txt and plunges the html code of the region, I need no further processing. But I don't want to physically change the names of files on understands it.

Question: Is there a way, through php, take the .shtml file extension and convert .txt dynamically, and then execute the include command after that?

Thank you!!! I couldn't find information through web search.

Includes server-side require at least two files.

    1. the parent file - one who calls understand it.
    2. the include file - one being included.

The parent file MUST be named with the extension that triggers a server
parse. If include it is an ordinary HTML inclusion, this extension may be
    * .shtm (l), or * .asp, or if your host has enabled the analysis for all server
file extensions, so it is not matter what you name.

The include file has no restrictions of designation - you could name it
'foo.monkeybutt' If you wanted, and it would continue to operate.

Now that we have that out of the way, does this mean that your host wants
you name the file with this extension include?

    > I need to use the shtml
    > due to a requirement of my host file extension.

If so, the host is a jerk. Otherwise, I'm sure you've misinterpreted
    requirements of the host.
