Copy the closed captioning

Hello

If I copy a slide to another cptx, closed captioning is not copied.

Does anyone know if it is possible, somehow, to copy the subtitles?

Or: attach to an another audiofile?

Why? I want to create subtitles in one Captivate file.

Kind regards!

What version do you use? Slide notes and CC are copied with slides of 9.0.1.320 and 8.0.3.290. I just checked.

I recorded a program in Windows media center.  When I read the program, it displays the closed captioning information.  If I burn a DVD program closed captioning information do not display during playback.  How can I burn the DVD to include captioning?

    Hello

    1. How do you try to burn the DVD? You have saved the DVD on the desktop (hard drive) or you burnt before you save it to a DVD?
    2. after are burning the DVDs in which application you trying to play?

I suspect that the captions are already burned in DVD, at this point in time we can cross check if the option is set to display captions.
To enable or disable subtitles for DVD
    a. on the Windows Media Center start screen, navigate to tasks, click settings, click DVD and then click subtitle.
    b. click the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to select power off or when cut, and then click Save.

  • Change the properties of the closed captioning area.

Is it possible to change the properties of the closed captioning (CC) box.  I mean besides the number of lines and type of police and size.

For example in a sensitive design project captioning runs under the X to close the CC in phone mode.

I don't know if they have a phone, why would they want to see the CC, but someone asked us to see which deals with the repair.

The file extension is not serious. It is a .html file. I put it right after the existing Style:

You can also change the width max 400 or something. You can test in the browser and then resize until you reach the threshold.

    Hi HornFlake76,

First pro CS 6 option gives you only one option to see a preview of the closed caption when you activate it.

You can download the trial version of first pro CC and add closed captioning and export it on

as a quicktime file (it embedds closed captioning). Then, you can import this file into 6 Premiere pro CS

and preview the subtitles encoded in the program monitor.

  • Captivate 7 crashes the trial whenever I click "closed captioning."

    Hello

IM using Captivate 7 trial. When I click on 'closed one' in a slide, or the "closed caption" in the management of Audio, the program still crashes.

I have to use "Task Manager" to close and open again, but the problem persists.

Is there a solution to this?

    Thank you

This is usually related to have used multiple monitors at a certain point, then changing the configuration of your monitor.  As a result, the dialog box modal CC appears somewhere off the screen where you can not access it.  This makes Cp look like it is frozen when in fact, it is waiting just for you to click on an item in a dialog box that is not displayed.

Simply press ESCAPE to re-establish control of the application.  If you cannot recreate your previous installation of the monitor to drag it from the dialog box to the main window, you can sometimes solve the problem by killing your Preferences file.

  • CPT 9: Closed Captioning enabled by default?

    Hi all

I am using Captivate 9 version 9.0.1.320 on my PC.

I wish that closed captioning is enabled by default when you open a Project Cpt. In other words I don't want the user to have to click on the CC button to turn on the closed captioning. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Iasmi

    You can use this workflow:

    • Select the first slide and look for the Actions tab in the properties panel
    • Select the action "Fill" in the drop-down list
    • Choose the variable cpCmndCC
    • Type 1 next of "with".

    It will look like this:

  • How can I scroll in CP7 closed captioning?

    Hello

Some of the closed captions a few words, others are 4 or 5 sentences.

I put in the space of closed captioning to 3 lines. This isn't enough space for 4 or 5 sentences. If I increase the number of lines, the closed captioning area takes too much screen real estate, make me move the images on each slide.

Is it possible to make the closed captioning text-auto scroll as new banners at the bottom of CNN for example?

    Help would be very appreciated!

    see you soon

Not possible by default. I think that Adobe did not provide this because scrollin text is not easy to read and perhaps even of the non-compliant results for Section 508 and other accessibility guidelines.

However, you can view a work around here.

  • Windows Media Center in Vista doesn't have the option for Closed Caption

    Hello

I went to a page "Help & how-to" describing the process of "see closed captions or subtitles in Windows Media Center." He showed the following steps:

"To turn closed captioning on or off.
    1. In the start screen, navigate to tasks, click settings, click TV or DVD, then closed captioning. In some regions, you may need to select subtitles instead of captioning. »

My problem is that I don't have the option for subtitles in TV as described above. But I have to DVD. So where and how can I solve this problem?

    Thank you.

Go to settings, television, then you will see the captioning, then you can click on the + to switch running or go to advanced for more options.

  • Copy the captioning of a .wav to .mp3?

    Hello

I was wor King on a presentation in Captivate 8 and have completed just to create all my subtitles.

I worked with my audio .wav files as I said that it was of the best quality. As it comes to the time to publish the presentation, I was invited to use the .mp3 rather than .wav files. Which is very much like the audio is the same, but it doesn't seem to be in any way possible to copy the content of the legends and copy it to a separate file. The seems to be exclusively related to the file it was created in. legends

I tried to export the audio, but who loses the legends in two file formats. When you export the captioning it puts them in a word doc, but I don't see how I can copy it from this doc word on a new audio file (.mp3).

Is there a way to do it, or I'll have to copy and paste, and manage the sequences of a calendar for my presentation together again? I searched online but couldn't find anything similar to this specific situation.

    Thanks in advance.

    BB

No, you can choose the audio settings. The published file mp3, wav not. Reduction in the size of the file will be not big at all if you start with mp3, because second compression will not lead to a large part on the size of the file, but will certainly lead to loss of quality. As I said all assets are compressed to maintain the low file size. Audio settings: choose mono, Dungeon bitrate low etc are much more important than to replace the wav files in the mp3 library.  He didn't check the CP9, but if you import mp3 Captivate allows you to create a this mp3 wav file in the library which is to reverse the situation in a bad way.

Also keep the number of images as low as possible, and then choose a resolution appropriate for the CP project have an impact on the size of the file.

  • Need to disable closed captioning when the play bar is hidden

    Hello.

I've almost finished with a school project for my certification ID but have a problem.  I use buttons to navigate in the lesson, but I have a section where the learner has to see a demo.  I have the PlayBar hidden on button slides but show on the slides in demo so the learner can pause the demonstration if necessary.  I also added closed captioning so that the learner can read text if a hearing or there is a problem with the audio.

Everthing works fine except when the demo is completed, the PlayBar is hidden in the next screen, but if the learner has turned on captioning, the CC shows text box again.  Is anyway to automatically turn off captioning after the last slide in the show?

    Thank you

There is a system variable called cpCmndCC that you can switch from 1 to 0 using advanced Actions (slide enter) to turn off the CC box.

  • Captivate 6 fail to export the project captions and subtitles

    Hello.

I am using Captivate 6.1.0.319 on Windows 7.

I have audio on my slides and captioning is selected on each slide, but when I export (file > > export > > project captions and subtitles), none of the text closed captioning is in the Word document.

Most of the legends project appear, but not all of them.

I've already renamed my preferences to OLD file to force the preferences to refresh.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thank you

    Tichelle

    Never mind.

This seems to be a problem with corruption of files.

The I'm working today with a particular file was initially created in Captivate 4.

I opened another project that I created charges last month, and he has no problem with the export of legends; It works exactly as expected.

I tried to copy all the slides in the projects that don't export, then paste them into a new project, but that did not help the issue-exporter.

  • WMC: closed captioning

How to display subtitles encoded in Windows Media Center? Got a DVD that does not have subtitles, but it closed captions, and I can't see how I can display in WMC... Note that WMP has no problem display CC.

    (Running Windows 7 x 64 ultimate)

Please click here for instructions on how to activate subtitles encoded in Windows Media Center.

Thank you very much. This might work for the TV tuner TV signal, but not for DVDs. I have a DVD that has No subtitles , but only the subtitles (CCs). I'm not simply view SAB for this DVD. I tried to play around with all the settings, nothing helped. I came to the conclusion that MS has neglected the possibility that DVD would carry CCs, not only subtitles. You may want to try it yourself: take a DVD with CCs and without subtitles (most likely a TV show like Taxi, for example) and try to see if you can get CCs to work. My guess is that you will not be able to. I've tried on multiple computers, with no luck.

Therefore, I would be grateful if you can let the devs of WMC. know this 'bug' tiny (but very annoying). It shouldn't take an enormous effort of coding to fix (I guess).

PS Ce is not something that I just noticed, nor is it the only DVD that behaves in this way. Positively no CCs cannot be displayed for DVD . I noticed this problem a good back, but I kept hoping there may be tweaks that I didn't see it right, so I took the time to study this more in detail recently. It turns out it wasn't behavior little cared for me. It is a behavior that is sloppy on the part of the developer.

  • Closed Caption Editing: Location, size and animation

    I am using Captivate 9

I am trying to adjust the CC because when it pops up it covers very important buttons which are required to be visible. It is therefore possible to 1. move the text closed caption box where I want (at the very least moved upward in the worst case).  2. is it possible to resize the box caption if I wanted the in a box on the side for example. Finally, 3. the CC is animation by moving down.  Is there a way I can have it animate upward instead?

Any help on that would be great.

SWF, you need a widget to move, for HTML5, you can add some CSS to move.

    Never seen it animation?
