• HFM - Services down copy utility

  Hi all

  I use HFM 11.1.2.3 version and trying to copy the application QA HFM in Dev using HFM environment copy utility. I checked that no user not connected to QA HFM application.

  Is - mandatory down services QA to perform the copy of the application to QA environment for Dev Environment?

  I also have another question. Is it possible that I can get the QA application profile to create the same apps in Dev? I did export LCM and I got the application.xpad.xml file. But it is is not clear to me to create the new creation of the application. Please could you suggest any solution to create the new application in Dev as similar to QA.

  Regarding your first question. It is not mandatory, but it is preferable to stop services because in the earlier version, he was known to corrupt the application. In a sense bringing the service just ensures that nobody is able to connect.

  Way the easiest way is to use LCM. All you have to do is go to export Service QA-Shared objects you need and then import it on the Dev reuse LCM.

  With your question, I guess, that you try to migrate a HFM-EPMA of QA dev app. To make sure you get exact copy, you must run the utility to copy of HFM app and even take the export of LCM > EPMA > and import it into the DEV server. This will ensure that you have the data and metadata in place.

  Utility app HFM copy copy metadata also in case it is a classic application. In case you are using an EPMA application, you will need to copy the metadata using .ads file generated using EPMA line Generator.

  I think you meant application EPMA and not the EPM system. You can use to copy EPMA application but the metadata are not copied.

  It is used only for HFM applications and not for the EPM system.

  In a table there are lines, columns, which makes the structure of the table and the content that you fill in the table matches the data. 'Copy the tables of application data' to only create the tables in the destination, but with no data.

  8 pages (no application process, process page 12)

  2 triggers

  2 sequences

  2 tables

  Other departments within my body as the application so they would like their own "copy".  Because of the type of information entered in the application, I can't have all the applications use 1 (of course I can but I need to create a somewhat complex authorisation schemes and I'd rather not go that route);

  If it becomes a business tier application, it must be generated using the level technology company, such as the authorisation schemes, VPD to the multi-tenant data to be stored in the same tables and sturdy PL/SQL API for the maintenance of the data rather than the process Assistant APEX.

  Authorisation schemes are of no use in restricting access to the data, they are used to control access to the APEX application components. You can use authorization to control if a user sees a report from the region, but not the rows that are displayed in the report. To do this you must use VPD or views (note that separate sets of tables are not even considered an option).

  If all departments use, how long before that some top-level executive wants to have access to the data for each of them? How easy it will be to predict that, when the data is distributed on several tables?

  That said, SPV is not available in the XE, and the fact that you use it means that you are unlikely to be able to switch to Enterprise Edition to get it.

  My recommendation would be to rebuild the application using a set of tables, the views that restrict access to data by the Department and the generation of reports and PL/SQL with API packages manage data.

  Support gave conflicting messages, on the copy of the App and EPMA. 11.1.1.3.28 is a new hfmappcopy which is backward compatible. You must follow the instructions in the 11.1.2 HFM Administrator's guide. It will work, it's just more complicated now. Basically, you need to use LCM to migrate all of the artifacts of the app to the destination application and then use app copy to move data. It works, we did it for 11.1.1.3.

  We have an existing schema and workspace called track 2 and everything was fine. We could export a copy of the application of prod and import it under a different number, so we could test some changes.
  Then, we created a new workspace and schema called track3 and I tried to export a copy of prod and its import in track3 workspace.

  To debug the problem using SQL * Plus, you must connect as KMX2 in the production database. If the script fails, there will be no harm.   iCloud is not really duplicate files in the files collection of application.  It looks like a file duplicate of the same size as the original, that you have opened, but iCloud is record storage by creating symbolic links. .

  I checked several of apparent duplicates in the Terminal, and if I list the file with the Terminal command

  LS - li somefileoniclouddrive

  I see that the inodes are identical to the original and the duplicate.  So no additional storage is required.

  Hi, Yes, I know this is how it should work, but was funny. It's a problem with my old computer I think. I am trying the implementation of a new system and when I downloaded 'documents' on my new machine everything behaved normally and he did the right folder thing.  So it doesn't seem to be a problem with my old vista machine that goes down! In addition, I scan my external HD before download of the new machine.

  This issue is addressed in the online help. When you create an output that it is generated in any folder you specify in the source schema. What is in this folder go to the server.

  If help is in! SSL! > WebHelp, so everything in this folder, including subfolders is what it takes to go to the server.

  Determine how many files are created by making a test version, if you use parallel export, you can reduce the chances of additional files. You can put in the additional instructions for import to manage files that extend and as long as you don't put no conditions on them, iferror you should be fine. I made a parallel export which initially created 4 files and folder 2 covered _2 so I put in my code to import _3 thus _2 for all girls. It works very well, I just had to educate someone watching the outputthat errors were acceptable. I make sure that once I loaded, the files are deleted then if the nextrun has not created the same files I'd get no additional data. In my case, it is possible, based on the way the data has been loaded and data distribution
