Corrupt styling after Java 8 update

Hi, I have big enough application Java FX and the styling/alignment etc. doesn't look good after a Java 8 update. Can I enforce using the old look and feel? Other things such as the constraints of the column GridPane is is broken, so even if it worked perfectly in Java 7.

Thanks for any advice in advance

    Hello

Thanks for your reply, but I doubt that flash player is related to do with Java.

And the Java applet crashing in my browser, I guess, should not be linked to my graphics driver, especially since the only update that took place was an update of firefox.

In any case, Firefox for some reason any launches 2 additional tabs when executing the Java Applet (IE does not work). In the past, I'm used to close the first tab, since it contains nothing except an Oracle logo.
However, it seems that after the last update of firefox, if this tab is closed, it cause Java to crash.

Therefore, do not close the additional tabs by the Java Applet. However, this has never happened before, do not know what has changed in the latest version of Firefox to make it happen now?

  • IPod corrupted after the recent updates to itunes

My computer says that my ipod is corrupted since I allowed the updates on my ipod. I did just a few days before and now it says it's corrupt. I did the restore on the computer, through the computer diagnostic test (I said nothing detected), malware and the antivirals scans of my ipod and no viruses. And yet this message continues to rise. How can I get rid of this and keep my songs at the same time?

How can I get rid of this and keep my songs at the same time?

You said that you "did the restoration", but if you are concerned to keep the songs currently on the iPod, it means that you don't have a restore of the iPod using iTunes?  A restore will erase the iPod, reinstall its software and set it to the default settings, which is perhaps what the iPod needs to get rid of the message data corruption.  (The restoration is done for the iPod settings screen in iTunes).

If you need download the songs from the iPod to the computer, you can do that using iTunes (with the exception of songs purchased from the iTunes Store).  iTunes synchronization is generally one-way, from computer to iPod.  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'the ipod transfer', you should get some useful links, including an article on the topic by CNET.

Once the song on your computer files, add them to your iTunes library so that there all your songs.  Then you can do a restore of the iPod with iTunes and synchronize your songs back as you wish.  As long as your iPod doesn't have a physical hardware problems, the problem should be solved.

  • 17 Firfox off my Java and I was told to update Java 7 update 9 - now it does not ("the plugin is disabled")

When I go to the Java test page (http://java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp), it says that the Plugin is disabled. Page manage add-ons said he was disabled after a reboot, but is now activated. Chrome and IE both agree that I have Java 7 update 9 installed, and the testjava page works fine.

A few sites I use frequently have built-in Java applications, so I need to get this resolved.

  • Java 7 Update 7 will not work

After the security problems in all versions of recent Java, including Mozilla had disabled automatically. Oracle has released the fixed version of Java (updated 7-7) who, after having uninstalled my current version (6 Bulletin No. 34?) I installed. Now, I find that there is no Java was seen on firefox (I have the latest version). It is not in the list of plugin and go to the Java website and run their test online (http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp) says that I don't have Java on my system. So I did the standard troubleshooting recommend things mozilla and I have not yet lucky! I looked in regedit for any signs of Java v.6 but it seems to have been deleted with uninstall correctly, so I don't think it is the old version of the origin of the problem. I'm out of ideas. Is this a problem with the new version of Java, or is it firefox? Also note that I tested IE (64-bit) and it seems to have java.

Have you installed the 32-bit version of Java for Firefox?

Firefox is a 32-bit application and requires 32-bit versions of plugins

Note that there is also a Java 6 update version 35 released to fix the security hole.

  • JAVA 7 7 update has been installed, do I uninstall JAVA 6 update 7?

    Hello, everyone-

I have windows XP/SP3 with IE v. 8.0.6001.18702.  I received a notice that java 7 day 7 was ready to be installed and that it would be aninstall java 6 update 7 when he did.

installation of java 7 went well, but when I look at my list of programs, java 6 is still there.  of course it does not have uninstalled after all.

Java advises to uninstall older versions when a newer version is installed.  then, when even the java 7 do not uninstall java 6 as it was supposed to, this safe for me uninstall java 6 via "Add/Remove Programs"?

Thank you, kind and generous people who meet our Qs!

    -susie margaret

PS - I also write this Q in the forum ' windows/windows XP/install-upgrade - enable '.  If I'm not supposed to post a Q in two forums at the same time, please advise me and put it in any forum you think most appropriate.  Thank you.

From Java 6 update 10, the uninstaller built into each new version uses the automatic update improved to automatically remove the previous version, when updating to a newer version of the update. This does not alter the old versions before those installed before the update 10, so they must be deleted manually.

If the automatic update does not work properly, the correct way is to delete all older versions first you may need to reboot several times for registry changes to files/folders to be removed correctly... affect.and then install the latest version of Java, when you have finished.

  • Is it OK to delete the update number 2 after the new update has been entered IE number 6 of the same program?

to delete the update number 2 after the new update has been entered IE number 6 of the same program

original title: he is allowed to delete the previous updates of files

    Hi Carl,

I suggest you go through this article to Java which can be useful.

Why should I remove old versions of Java in my system?

Removal of previous versions of the .net Framework is based on the applications that are running on the computer.

For applications, if you have an application based on any .NET Framework on the computer, you cannot delete it since you have need to support the application runs correctly.

.NET framework 3.5 SP1 includes .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.0 SP2. This means that .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0 can not be deleted because they are the sine qua non of .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. If you have any application based on .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, please do not remove .NET 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1.

I would also not to uninstall the security updates that are important for the security of your computer.

  • Dell Latitude 10 ST2: Screen very dark after the Windows Update 8.1 & gameplay of Diablo 2

    Hello community,

I just got a new Latitude 10 ST2, and I really appreciated the help until after that I updated for Windows 8.1 and played some Diablo 2. For some reason, my brightness is now always very low, regardless of whether the Adaptive brightness in my power management setting is enabled or disabled. I can manually change the brightness, but it has very little effect. It seems that the maximum brightness is really low for a reason any.

I don't know if Diablo 2 has nothing to do with this problem, but I though that I would include it here because it uses very outdated graphics techniques that seem not very compatible with Windows 8.1. I had to change the compatibility settings of the game executable for Windows XP Service Pack 2, force them to run with 16-bit colors and also to disable the composition of the bureau. After closing the game, icons on the desktop still seemed a little wide (they looked rather 16-bit color and had some weird artifacts) and I had to restart the tablet to correct. After the reboot of the Tablet, the desktop icons were back to normal, but my light issues began to arrive.

My first attempt at solving this problem was in the shape of the tablet. I used my USB stick that has the factory settings on it to format the Tablet and reinstall Windows 8. The process was a success, and I had no problem of brightness either. However, after the update to Windows 8.1, then by restarting the Tablet, my issue with the brightness came back.

My second attempt was to try to update my drivers. I ran the auto updater provided with the Tablet, and it updated my BIOS. Unfortunately, it has not fixed the problem at all. Then, I took a look in the BIOS and found levels of brightness in the video section. The parameters are the following:

    Brightness on battery: 7
    Brightness of AC: 15

I've tried corresponding to the brightness of the battery at 15, but it has no effect. The light problems don't occur that the Tablet is connected to a power outlet or not, I wasn't really that surprised that it didn't work. A maximum brightness of 15 is normal? (what is a percentage?) I don't want to change these settings without knowing exactly what they represent to avoid damage.

My third attempt has updated the chipset drivers which includes the video driver. I installed the chipset driver and suddenly after that the screen went black a few times during the installation of the brightness has been completely restored and colors looked nice and bright again. However, when I rebooted the Tablet I found that the problems of brightness was back. Very rarely when I restart the Tablet, the brightness is normal again, but it is super rare. A subsequent reboot simply results in brightness problems return immediately.

A few other things worth noting that come with the light problems:
    -All color gradients are not smooth. You can very clearly see the differences in brightness when a picture goes to a light color to a dark like a lot of buttons in Windows 8 start menu. It reminds me a lot of 16-bit color;
-Whenever I try to change the display settings in the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel, nothing happens. No matter how much I fiddle with the brightness, contrast or gamma, nothing changes, even after you apply the settings.
    -Diagnostic in the BIOS tests said that everything is OK;
-The complete diagnosis provided by the PC Dell Diagnostics program showed that each test passed successfully.

I really hope that someone can help me with this problem. The screen is also very dark, it makes it quite difficult to use tablet. Thank you!

    Kind regards

    StevenD91
