  It is out of my area of knowledge.  You may need to work with the support of the sphere of the Web or the forums.

  I know that there is a servlet in the WAR file that somehow intercept requests for .mxml files.  It should work just like how a request .php gets caught.  It seems that mxml servlet is not configured correctly, or demand that you the customer is not triggering the servlet, that could be because the servlet is listening on a particular port.

  I want to learn how to build RIA, however, build them with Adobe Flex or Adobe Air or both? What we I first start learning?

  Also, which version of Flex is the best? Flex 3 or Flex 4.

  If someone can give me the basics of the where I should start first would be great.

  And I'm wrong assuming the Flex SDK kit and Air SDKS are free?

  Hi Ghibli,

  Flex is a framework for building applications that run in Flash Player.  AIR is a framework for deploying RIA on the desktop.  It can be used with Flex-based applications or it could be used for applications built using HTML/Javascript for example.  Basically, AIR allows you to use web languages and development practices to build cross-platform desktop applications.

  Software development kits are free and you can get them from here:

  I would recommend Flex 4 since this is the version currently in production.  Flash Builder 4 is the latest version of the Adobe IDE for developing Flex/AIR applications.  It is not free, but there is a free trial period.  There are other free options out there for a development environment, but I am not very familiar with any of them.  You can see Flash Builder 4 here - http://www.adobe.com/products/flashbuilder/

  I have a mid-2009 13-inch MacBook Pro. It has 2 GB of RAM and I want to update 8 GB of RAM. I heard it is expensive to have Apple install memory, but I really do not trust myself to install it alone! Does anyone have an idea of what it would cost (for the work of Apple and memory) for this upgrade? And if no Apple, anyone have any suggestions for qualified but cheaper alternatives? Thank you!!

  One of the main requirements for Airprint is the must have ePrint printer.  I do not see the C4795 on ePrint models list, so it will not work with Airprint.

  Another solution is HP iPrint, it allows to print Apple portable devices via a 802.11 wireless connection.

• Development parameters do not transfer to the deployment.

  I use TestStand with parallel process model to test 16 DUT. After much head banging I discovered I needed to include TestExec.ini to force deployment to use the parallel model.  What other files I need to include parameters to be transferred to the deployment? These settings are specifically:

  • Reporting disabled
  
  
  • Number of Test Sockets
  
  
  • Other settings that I can't think of right now...

  I must emphasize that this is my first TestStand deployment.

  After watching a little more into it, it seems that TestStandModelReportIOptions.ini and TestStandModelDatabaseOptions.ini have both been replaced by ResultProcessing.cfg, which should be the only file you need!

  The compilation happens to step "using the unit felt" but then stops soon after with a compilation error.

  The line in question (1408) refers to the output of a "Reinterpretation FXP" node with the text

  in the part of port of the code card.  This is the output of the FXP reinterpret node is directly connected to an indicator in a VI sub whose output is then entered directly at a crossing high multiply node.  The code is part of a cosine sine LUT I programmed.  She used to compile without a problem, but I think I know where is the problem.  In one case, I have used only the sine of output of the algorithm and theory, Xilinx can optimize away from the part of cosine.  I have two instances of this VI in my code and looking at those generating any errors, the output is associated with a cosine indicator.

  It seems that the track is essentially optimized away, but the compiler, Xilinx has a problem with the flag being present on the sub - VI but the idnicator is not used anywhere.  As a result, the cost gets set to an invalid value.  I guess close to reinterpret it FXP at the exit of the Subvi is an important aspect of this problem.

  I think I know enough now to fix this (remove the path manually by duplicating the sub - vi), but it may be useful for future bug fixes feedback in the FPGA module.  It is not the first time that this kind of removal of incorrect code me has given problems, but this is the first time I could clearly identify the problem.

  Looks like someone filed a bug report on it a month or two ago. It's the CAR # 475397 if you want to check for it in the list bug fixed for 2014 SP1.

• AO drive to 0 before the cancellation of the deployment NIVS Workspace

  Hi all

  NIVS 2011, our Simulink model villages are mapped to output analog.  Any value is lock to the outport cancels the sysdef is locked to the AO.  We are all set to 0 before the cancellation of the deployment of the sysdef.  We cannot stop the model, but it always leads the channel.  We can set the value of the channel, but the model rolls in it even when standing (it makes sense).  Ideally, we would have a combo alarm or procedure, but we cannot replace the outputs of the model.  I saw: http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-VeriStand/reset-all-outputs-to-initial-values/m-p/2162306#M1980.  We can blame AO when the model is running or not.  We surveyed the AO after it flaws to 0 and cancellation of the deployment of the sysdef, and we did not see this high glitch.  So, it seems to give us the behavior we want.  I would check with the gurus to see if there is a better way to do it, or if there are known warnings at our approach.

  My personal recommendation would be to have a conditional calculated channel mapped to the output rather than using faults, in this scenario, conditional value of the string (and, therefore, the AO) would spend outport of the model and a user channel that stores a judgment by default value AO depending on the State of the model.

  The conditional trigger itself could be a model profile outport or stimulus (set a high when the model starts and down again when stopping value), or the State of the model can be determined using an agency independent survey - based on your post, looks like you can already do this.

• What are the steps needed to get EPICS server to publish the deployment on RT cRIO

  I've been using LV for many years and has everything with a cRIO 9074 RT I am able to generate and execute/deploy the simple screw on the cRIO, but can not get the EPICS server to publish the PVs on the network.  I have spent hours studying examples and whitepapers, but can not find a good example of a server of EPICS on the cRIO deployment.  (I used successfully EPICS on computer based systems)

  Does anyone have an example step by step related to the deployment of the EPICS on a cRIO (real time)?

  It turns out that the PVs were published.  Just know how to pick them.

• Error found on the deployment of NSV cycle

  I get an error detected in Cycle on the deployment of a NSV library on my cRIO.  This was brought about when I accidentally configured the cRIO to be bound to a Windows NSV library library and also linked the NSV of Windows for the cRIO.  I realized my mistake and removed the binding within the cRIO library but for some reason any "too smart for his own good" logic that the project uses to detect the link cycles still considers that the original linking exists.  The only way to get around that (with the exception of rebuild project) is to remove the library Windows, deploy the cRIO library and readd then deploy the Windows library.  If anyone knows another way please let me know.

  

  Workaround solution!  You must disable the binding on the two libraries and deploy then reactivate the library with the correct link and deploy again.

  I would classify this as a bug since at least one person could not easily understand how to get out of the cycle of the error.

  RunState.SequenceFile.Data.Seq contains the copy of time change sequences. These copies are not at all when running. At run time, a separate copy is made (and is accessible from RunState.Sequence) and only this copy of runtime is updated. These runtime copies are made for several reasons such as the following:

  (1) to ensure that changes to the sequence the runtime, do not affect the original version of the time edit of the file (you don't want to change the status to be an editing tool in the right sequence file?).

  (2) to support recursion, recursive calls in the same sequence have their own copy of the sequence so that State for a call is not crushed by one recursively calls the same sequence.

  There are probably other reasons as well, but these are probably the biggest.

  Whenever I run the version selector to switch between ts4.2 and 3.5, it displays the error message above and gives also advice how to fix for a version of visual studio, I do not have (I am using 2003). As well as this when I start the deployment of TS3.5 engine I get error message with toolboxinstaller.exe system.io.filenotfound. I know that they are then tried to repair/reinstall nothing works, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

  The message below is similar to the message that you receive (note that this message relates to Visual Studio 2005, you could relate to Visual Studio 2003):

  

  This is a known issue with Version TestStand selector and was reported to R & D (#171620). The picker Version TestStand assumes that when Visual Studio is installed on the machine, that Visual C++ has also been installed. It tries to write in Visual C++ specific files that do not exist if Visual C++ is not installed.

  This error does not mean that something is not necessarily, it is more a message that the file cannot be written in successfully. You should be able to continue to launch TestStand successfully without problem.

  On the deployment utility, I suppose that the two issues are related, however, it would be much easier to say for certain that the error you receive won't cause problems if you post a screenshot of the error. You can do it.
