  Look into changing the CPU cooler for the successor, the Noctua NH - D14.

  Like John, I think that your power supply may be a little thin. Especially if you plan to upgrade to CS5 with an MPE video card in the future.

Then add about 10-15% of the calculated power and attention to the amperage on the different tracks. Who will decide what PSU to get.

  Reformat the disk and reinstall Windows XP would heal any problem of malicious program with the exception of an infected MBR (Master Boot Record) on the disk.   The F-Secure rescue CD is a tool that allows to remove a MBR infection.

  Please check if you are facing the same question when working in mode safe mode with networking.
  a. restart your computer.
  b. when the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap the F8 on your keyboard key repeatedly until you are presented with the screen Windows Vista Advanced Boot Options.
  c. using the arrow keys, select Safe mode with networking option.
  d. press the Enter key on your keyboard to boot mode safe mode of Windows Vista with networking.

  I'm in the market for a new desktop computer and want to do a lot of video editing (using Roxio and Vegas Movie Studio).  I want to know the specifications to ask.  I need to know if it is better to get a 64-bit operating system processor AND... OR... a 64-bit processor and a 32-bit processor or should I just stick with 32-bit systems?   I'm afraid that my drivers and existing software may not be not compatible with 64-bit processors.  I want a system that will be able to also change the HD videos.

  Any help with explanations would be appreciated.

  I use a HP Elite d5000t with Vista 64 bit and I have Vegas Studio 9 installed and it works great. The specifications of the box didn't say it works with Vista 64-bit, but it does.

  Well, the time is finally here. I am about to buy an ADK mounting system and wanted to collect some feedback from your hardware experts. Here is a link to quote it. Only two changes have been made since this quote: I have upgraded the motherboard to support eSata and Firewire (for a camera) and send them to the SSD in my system for the operating system and programs on the new machine.

  This new machine will be used primarily to edit digital Canon using Premiere CS6 DSLR images, as well as other operations involving the rest of the Creative Suite. I will also buy a Viewsonic VP2365 - LED 23 "with IPS Panel technology for a secondary monitor. I don't have a huge budget, and this seems to be a good compromise between quality and price. I have yet to have a monitor, so I am hopeful that this monitor will do up to this point (I have a Spyder 3 for calibration).

  What kind of speakers do you use guys for surround sound mixing? I currently have the Logitech X-530, I have had for years, but don't know if I should trust such an inexpensive installation for important projects. You guys think the THX certified Logitech Z906?

  I second both Baz and Steven about it. ADK is very good, Eric is a great support and he knows his stuff. The quote that you got would be my choice as well within this range of budget, with the exception maybe, I would probably opt for a large Tower. It's probably also the reason why Steven has different fans in its system, but that's all. The Viewsonic monitor is also a good choice. Not know well on the speakers.

  From my point of view, it is a very well composed system that will make almost all editing tasks that you throw at it very well, maybe with the exception of Red material or Epic.

  In this case, bitmap_bytes_per_rowL has been calculated before, and bitmap_dataP refers to the memory correctly allocated (via host_new_handle()) where the drawing will happen. tempImg is an object Bitmap GDI + Windows, that is only used to create the object Graphics "canvas." Once it has achieved its objectives, it will be deleted.

  I'm 99% sure that it is the cause of my crashes. It crashes all the time and it is more likely when the code is compiled in release mode.

  So, I have two options:

  -Allocation of memory for the Bitmap object using host_new_handle (sizeof (Bitmap)), and lock up the handle to get a pointer to my bitmap object. Problem, it is, how to initialize, because I will no longer use the keyword "new"?

  -Create my Graphics 'canvas' object without starting by creating a Bitmap object. That would be my preferred method, but the only other way to create a Graphics object is via an HDC and HWND, neither of which I know how to access and then how do I associate my (real) memory of drawing?
