• My InDesign crashes when editing text.

  So when he started first to crash when editing text, it used to have a "... pure virtual function call" error ». So I updated my program (today) and now it just hangs.

  Is it a common thing?  or anyone knows how to fix? I saw a few things about google, and they recommended the update of the program, so of course, now, I don't know what to do because that which did not help!

  I'm on Windows 10.

  Try trashing your InDesign prereferences:

  Close and restart InDesign and IMMEDIATELY hold down the keys Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Opt + Ctrl and shift (Mac)and answer Yes to the dialog box asking if you really want to replace the preferences.

  (If you are not asked the question, then you have not held down keys soon enough!)

It seems that LR to PS import does not work as good as he did with LR 5 and CC2014. Otherwise, anyone seen something like this? / Ola

  It's weird. My system is very similar to yours, and I see no problem. Try turning off the GPU acceleration in Photoshop preferences. The next step could be a reset preference, but see the Red pattern on your screen one ball really points to the graphic.

  With the help of three monitors

  The problem:

  When editing in InDesign my text disappears. I have to wait, DESACT and then click back, or to zoom or zoom out to get the text back. This happens on multiple files, various size documents and it happens sporadically. Perform a restart of the whole system will sometimes fix the problem for about 5 minutes and then it will start again. It's really bad in my productivity and make me question my subscription to Adobe. I need this problem as soon as POSSIBLE.

  Here is what I tried:

  • Complete the uninstall and reinstall the program

  • Several reboots

  • PC Cleanup

  • Updated graphic driver

  • Text wrapping is set to off

  None of these solutions solves the problem.

  Any help would be appreciated!

  Reinstall not rebuild preferences, which is the first line of defense against the tedious.

  Quit in InDesign, and then open it again while maintaining the control, Alt and shift keys (command, Ctrl, Option, and shift on a Mac). When you receive the alert of "Delete preferences"?, release the keys, and then click Yes/ok.

• How I 'Tab' to clear the screen of palettes when editing text?

  When I'm editing text and you want to clear the screen window palettes, of course, just tab places a tab space in the text. What control character will allow me to use the 'TAB' key to clear the screen of the window palettes, while I'm editing text?

  I think that all the keyboard out of the editing window when you edit text.  Escape will take you out of your text (technically to the selection tool) frame where you can tab and navigate as usual.  My fingers have the habit of the form of escape--> tab--> "T"--> click for and in a text frame.

  In addition, if you are just trying to see something that is a palette, you can zoom in and out, or Option to bring up the hand tool and drag your cardboard autour.  These things can be while that technically inside a block of text.

• Preview crashes when editing in png format

  Since I got El Capitan, my preview Crash when I make changes to a jpeg file, after it has been converted into a .png file. When I reopen it the .png file, deletions I did are all black. It is not still sane the file as a proper .png file.

  I am so tired of this improvement in the system, and keep losing more in addition to the applications which I can not afford to level to deal with changes without end of Apple. I miss the day when software Mac was known for continuity.

  Can someone tell me at least just how to fix an excerpt, an Apple application!

• LabVIEW 2009 linux crashes when editing a control, or a constant of resources VISA

  Linux crashes when I click on a constant resources VISA (block diagram) or control (front).  This happens on LabVIEW 2009 SP1 32-bit for Linux on CentOS (similar to RedHat 6.3) 6.3.  I have updated drivers VISA 5.1.2 and that did not help.  Thanks in advance for any ideas of five Linux guys out there.

• Photoshop crashes when editing metadata information

  We use Photoshop CS3 on our Mac G5 under Leopard. When we open a JPG or EPS file and try to change the metadata it completely blocks Photoshop. It does not matter what meta data field, we are editing happens to each of them. Don't know what has changed on the system we did not update recently. Thought it might be a preferences file corrupt, but not sure that one to delete? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

  MASTERCOOK 9: because Microsoft updated 12/10/10, when I edit ANY recipe in Mastercook, the program crashes.  ValueSoft acknowledges the problem and says that Microsoft is working on a fix... but WHEN?

  Everyone knows about this problem?  Does anyone know how to fix the problem?  I use Windows XP and use Mastercook 9 forever without any problems until a few weeks ago.

• element of Photoshop crashes when the text tool

  A week ago my Photoshop Elements began to break up when I select the text tool.

  Files that I've created in the past which contain text layers now open with a message "a problem reading layer 'text' [all the text was on the record] because of a program error." The existing pixel data will be there will substitute. Continue? »

  When I press 'Continue' and either select the text to try to change, or try and add text, it blocks the program which stops immediately, creating an accident report. I copied the accident report, but it's super long, so I don't know if it makes sense to paste it here.

  The same thing happens when I create new files and you want to add a text layer - it hangs and stops when I select the text tool. She makes my Photoshop Elements basically useless.

  I don't understand why this is happening - I did not download new fonts or anything like that and I don't do anything different than usual when you work on files. I run Photoshop elements 11 on Mac OS X 10.10.1

  Sometimes problems PSE to make it out no reason apparent and which are not fixed by the reset tool. In this case, it might be that the preferences file is corrupted.

  To restore this file in PES 11 and later versions: Edit > preferences > general and click on "Preferences of Reset on the next launch.

• Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 crashes when the text is highlighted

  When I have a pdf file open in Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro and I select text in the document, (preparation copy the part of it), it crashes and I get the following message:

  "Adobe Acrobat 8.0 stopped working.  He "checks for a problem" but simply closes and I lose everything I do.  :-(  Any suggestions?

  You use AA8.0 or later version. If this isn't the case, you must take 2 steps. (1) repairs (to help); (2) update AA8 (currently at 8.3.1: on the Help menu or download from the Adobe Downloads > updates).

• Slow blinking cursor when editing text

  When you change the text in Fireworks CS4 I find that the cursor that shows my current position in the text block flashes remarkably slow. Is possible to change this rate? Everyone knows this problem?
  
  A very, very tough mental tally has my cursor flashing at 2 seconds, 2 seconds OFF in Fireworks. The cursor that I try to write as that now in Firefox flashes at approximately less than 1 second on, less than a second off the COAST. This 2 seconds of the State OFF in FW is therefore very difficult to find the cursor when you move or writing.

  Yes, I find this too well (I use the Mac version). Generally, the application interface is slow and full of small moments lag; I'm sure they are trying to address this, hopefully.
