  I created a simple aspx form with 3 fields (txt.contact_name, txt.email, txt.comments). What I would do, is when a user clicks on the button submit the information entered into an Access database table (contact_name, email, comments). Can anyone shed some light on how I can do this?
  
  I usually use SQL Server and using this database would normally create a stored procedure for the insert statement, but I have problems creating a stored procedure in Access 2000.

• How to synchronize two timers that send data?

  Hi, I have a problem:

  I have a thread in which I have two timers with timerTask. two of them will send data on the server. the first 5 sec every one and the all other the 1 sec the problem is that when I run the defective computer application (disconnection with an IOException error) after 3-4 sec, I think it's probalby because in an instant, both of them are trying to send data and can only be in one second. I tried to create both a dataOutputStreams but this is not enough. Here is my code:

  a solution would be a 'executable queue", a vector that contains objects that implement the runnable interface and executes one by one.
  the two timertasks add their treatment to the queue (synchronized) and directs the queue.

  It is a lot of material on threads synchronization available on the net because it is one of the most basic problems of treatment / distributed computing.
  I'm sure you can find detailed examples to sun.com and many other java sites.

  We receive Request Timed out error when trying to send data to the planning application by using Smart view.
  
  "Unable to connect to the provider because: the request has timed out." Contact your administrator to increase netRetryCount and netRetryInterval. "Is someone can you please tell me where I can increase the time-out settings?   Cause
  By design, Internet Explorer imposes a time-out for the server limit return data. Internet Explorer does not indefinitely wait for the server to come back with data when the server has a problem.

Also in the meantime each field, I could create only the mandatory defauly, the Import/Export link (Execute), as it would allow only a connection of WSDL, not a DB OLEDB connection files, like I did in the default value for each field. In the view data, I can see the correct field and assignment - so I know it would work if I could send the data.

  What is a recent thing? I guess they use these versions for some time? If it's a recent thing then I would start by looking at what has recently changed on the server.

  One of our clients had a problem with a version a little older (3.3 planning and Essbase 6.5.4.2) where each user had 2 filters in Essbase. "User1" was the filter of planning and "User1_" was the Essbase filter for the same user. Whenever an update of the planning was made he re - create the Essbase filter such as users could not run calc scripts or perform locking and send in Excel.

  We had to use a script MaxL to replace the underscore (essbase) filter with the filter of planning and which meant that users can write to Essbase.

  I may be the line of underscores and no line underscore filter the worng way round, it was a long time ago!

  1. you need not "\n" on your orders println().  This command adds an end of line character already in the message.

  2. you get the error because you have a loop around your reading.  After the first reading (well technically, the second because of you add an extra line end character), there is nothing left in the port.  As a result, you will get the timeout.

  3. you should really consider using a Structure of the event.  This way you just don't write and read when you press the Write button and you can also use the structure of the event to make the loop to stop.  I also go up to close the port inside the stop-> value Change event.
