Create shortcut folder

How can I create a folder shortcut in a subfolder of disc to another subfolder of player for bypassing the drive letter. I don't know why but the only way that I can access the road is that if I use \\testlab-nas there is no letter, so I want to make the player R:\ shortcut to the \\testlab-nas\media\videos. I'm trying to use the exec system as in the thread already posted, but I can't understand it.

Have you checked these.

  • How can I use Powershell to create shortcuts "File Folder" in the section network location?

    Hello

I am trying to create a powershell batch file that will create a bunch of shortcuts to files to Sharepoint document libraries network.

To get an idea, the manual method would be to go to computer--> right click--> Add a network location

From there, I can enter the path of the URL to a Sharepoint document library and it will create a folder shortcut in this library of documents that allow people access to the library without having to go through Sharepoint to access.  So when the user clicks the shortcut, it opens an Explorer window to view and manipulate the files.

I found the script next, but it will create a shortcut 'Internet' when I put in the path instead of a shortcut of the file folder. So when the user clicks on it, it just opens the web page.  Any help would be great!  Thank you!

When I try to install some programs, I get the following message:

    How this issue is resolved?

"When the installation fails and you get the error 1909, stop." DO NOT CLOSE the installation or click a button. Simply open another window, navigate to the data directory of program (C:\Program Data\whatever-the-name-of-the-directory-is C:\Program Apple for installation of iTunes), do a right click and select Properties, clear the read-only attributes at the bottom of the box and apply. Then go back to the installation failed and click Retry. »

  • Windows 7 error - automatically create a folder shortcut

I accidentally opened the cmd.exe file, removing this shortcut location if poster as win c:/win32 cmd.exe, what should I do, all the shortcuts after removing back ade new where they were, pls help

Your PC is infected with malicious software (like viruses). I recommend you to run MalwareBytes from the following location:

    https://www.Malwarebytes.org/MWB-download/

You can also try to scan Microsoft security at the following address:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-UN/default.aspx

Please note that these tools does not require uninstalling anti-virus software installed on the PC.

In addition, please note that if you have antivirus software installed, periodically it must be updated as well as the PC must be analysed to avoid malware infection.

  • Is it possible to create a folder that can hide files automatically, when they are copied in it?

    Hello!!!

Is it possible to create a folder that can hide files automatically, when they are copied in it? I mean how to program a folder so that everything that he would automatically become hidden? I would be very grateful...

Is it possible to create a folder that can hide files automatically, when they are copied in it?

    Yes. A sort of roundabout.

For this example, create a folder on your C drive named HideTest.

Download http://winsupport.org/utilities/freedos-choice.html Choice.Exe (click on the link to download the utility program near the bottom of the page. "And save it in the C:\HideTest folder).

Open Notepad and then copy and paste the following text in it:

    Off @Echo

    : All
    Set FilesToHide = No.

    : GoToDir
    C:
    cd\HideTest

    : Top
    CLS
    IF FilesToHide %! Is Yes! Attrib *. * + H

    : Choice
Choice.Exe /c:YN t:Y, 30 are looking for files to hide
    If ErrorLevel 2 Goto: exit

    : MakeList
    Dir > TempList.Txt

    : CheckFiles
    Set FilesToHide = No.
    Find.Exe "0 file (s)' TempList.Txt
If ErrorLevel 1 Set FilesToHide = Yes
    If exist TempList.Txt Del TempList.Txt

    : Loop
    Goto: Top

    : Output
    Set FilesToHide =
    If exist TempList.Txt Del TempList.Txt
    Output

Click on file, then save under...

    Go to C:\HideTest

    Name the file Hide.Bat

    Click Save

    Close Notepad

    Open Windows Explorer

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Start where user_name is your own username.

In the right pane, right click, select New, and then click shortcut.

Click Browse, and then navigate to C:\HideTest and click on Hide.Bat, click Next.

Type a new name or accept the default name and click Finish.

Right-click on the newly created shortcut, and click Properties.

Change the race: from the normal window to reduced.

Click on apply, and then click Ok.

    Restart your computer.

Note: In the line above Choice.Exe c:YN t:Y, 30 are looking for files to hide, 30 is the number of seconds it will wait before checking the new files. This can be from 1 to 99.

Edit: Just to satisfy my curiosity, why do you do this?

  • Error message: cannot create the folder C:\Documents and Settings\Marlon\Local Application BVRP Software\NetWaiting\MoHlog.txt Settings\

I recently had a problem with the virus 'Restore Windows'. I was able to get rid of it with Malwarebytes antivirus scanner, but when I turn on my computer I get this error message.
Cannot create the folder C:\Documents and Settings\ of Settings\Marlon\Local Application BVRP Software\NetWaiting\MoHlog.txt

I'm no expert, but I feel that my C drive disappeared, or at least has been hidden. My documents, pictures and music files are all empty. My programs (start > all programs) have been removed and deleted the shortcuts on the desktop. When I go to my computer, my personal and shared document files are not accessible. Under the description it says that they are hidden. My local disk (c) is also empty, but there is still very little space which suggests that programs and files have not been deleted.
Is it possible to recover my files?
    Thank you

    Hello

MoHlog.txt file is related to the software of modem on the computer, you can uninstall and reinsta it check if it works.

Also scan your computer for any infection by virus still present on the computer using any scanner online.

You can also try the system restore to the point before that the computer has been infected by the virus and check if it helps.

    Good luck!

  • How do you create a folder under all programs on the start menu?

I am on 7 and want to create a folder under all programs on the start menu to contain all my design programs. How can I do this? There is no empty space to click in the menu that appears on right-click and choose new.

    Hello

@ sharon you can remove your message if you have understood the thread Q

    @cbr_fox
If you want to create the new folder in the start menu
    Right click on all programs< on="" newly="" opened="">< double="" click="" on="" programs="">< create="" new="">< rename="">< add="" the="" shortcuts="" of="" your="" programs="" to="" created="" folder.="">
Now you can access the folder in the list of programs.
    Hope it solves your problem.

  • Create shortcut folders does not work all the time?

I needed to create multiple folders shortcut for a project that needs them often, and I just couldn't. Still, I remember in the past and one of them actually have on my desktop for my photos.

It appeared that in folder trees if I right click on the folder you want, "create shortcut" Option did not show upward! the same with the folders on my desktop would be! If rich of this conclusion, I copied my "recalcitrant" folder on the desktop (had to cut short the copy because it was great!), but got a copy of it on my desk (with only what he had time can be fully copied!). Then right clicked on it and the shortcut option appeared! I re routed the path to the original on my D drive folder and it works well.
Obviously something does not work as it should and I don't have to do all this, so I hope someone knows the answer to this problem. Maybe a stupid option that must be checked on somewhere...

I don't know if this is your question or not because it should either work, or not at all. The first fix, here is a zip file which will certainly not hurt to try. It's my answer for those who have reported lately that the new folder option did not work in Win7 canned.

Do, or you have installed Chrome? It appears that an update of Chrome, (mid April 2013), is responsible. Here are two patches.

  • Can you create shortcuts file and whenever I chose to place them?

I have the folder shortcuts on my desktop that points to the network locations.  Because these folder shortcuts on my desktop they have also highlighted in the top level of the Windows Explorer when I opened this program.  This makes it very easy to navigate to the network folder / subfolder, I have a folder shortcut Setup,.

These shortcuts to files created in Windows XP.  I am now on a W7 machine and they continue to work properly.  The problem is that network locations, I need to point to have changed.
W7 does not seem to me to change the traces of these shortcuts to folder or create new ones.  Is it true that W7 I cannot create a folder shortcut to be placed on the desktop?
If this IS true, y at - it a well-known tweaking utility that will enable such a feature?
Is there a windows file that contains path information this shortcut file that I could 'hack' in the hand?

AHAAAAAA!  :)  So after a little research, it turns out that the 'thing' I leaned to create is now known as a symbolic link.

The function "mklink" in W7 gets fact.
Here is a link to a web page describing the symbolic links, even if you are probably already very familiar with them.
VERY useful!  Does exactly what I want it to do.  If I add these links on my desk, they appear at the bottom of the tree of office files in Windows Explorer and can be expanded as a real folder.  They can bind to both network shares.
I use the mklink /D option.
  • Package does not create shortcuts (thinreg)

I'm trying to package the windows administrative tools and create the fine package, but when I sign with Thinreg I can't see the shortcuts in the start menu.  If I navigate to the startmenu folder I can see shortcuts and if I run them it runs the thinapp program.  Is it something simple, I'm missing here that I can create shortcuts on the desktop and they spread out very well but I obviously don't want cluttering up the desktop with all of these shortcuts.

    Thank you

To create a shortcut on the start menu, change the threshold in the package.ini for each EXE for

    Shortcuts = % admintools. %Select% programs

If you want to create several shortcuts for different EXE, you can create them in a folder in the start menu:

    Shortcuts=%AdminTools%;%programs%\FOLDERNAME

Rebuild the ThinApp running the build.bat file, delete no matter what tray existing sandbox and test.

  • I can't delete or create a folder

If you have created a folder and have files inside and you are the administrator, please open the lock by entering the user name and password.

If there are several files in the folder, select them (command-A), remove them (command + delete) in the trash, if only a single file is where you can drag and drop into the trash .a lock, now if you want to remove this folder from the system simply drag to the trash.  Restart the computer and empty the trash.

To create a new folder click on file > new folder or may use another command-SHIFT-N method. The only condition is that each application must be closed.
