  We are facing a situation where a resource by another company needs to create and manage their own users who will access OBIEE.

  That means that for the moment we have create users in Weblogic, but we cannot provide the resource with access to weblogic due to many other services running in the Weblogic causing a safety hazard.

  My question: is there another way, we can provide access to this resource through a portal that will only be able to manage the users and groups that will access OBIEE and not be able to view all other settings?

• Could not create the user in the context of appropriate group of LDAP

  Hi all

  My LDAP server is running on Java Sun Directory Services (LDAP) under solaris 10 to store the user information. Structure in the LDAP, I have a domain (dc = ABC, dc = mu), then under the domain name, I have 3 groups GroupA, GroupB and GroupC (UO). Then, in each group, I have users (uid). The groups and users are classes of object.

  LDAP this server is connected to an SAP server where I need to create a user. The problem is that when I create a SAP user and when I assign the user to groupA LDAP, for example, the group is not assigned to the user and the user is created right under the name of domain (dc = mra, dc = mu) and not in the GroupA. So, I have to manually move the user to GroupA.

  Pls suggest how solve the problem - the LDAP structure may not correct...

  If the group does not exist, then use this example LDIF:

  DN: cn = Group2, o = Your Company

  objectClass: groupOfUniqueNames

  CN: group2

  uniqueMember: cn = tom, o = Your Company

  uniqueMember: cn =, o = Your Company

  uniqueMember: cn = sam, o = Your Company

  and if above group already exists and you want some users to be part of the group above, then use this:

  DN: cn = Group2, dc = mra, dc = mu

  ChangeType: modify

  Add: uniquemember

  uniqueMember: uid = 14300013, or = users, dc = mra, dc = mu

  and run the command ldapmodify

  I created a user admin [oamadmin] in Sun One Directory Server and configured the user admin administrator during the initial Setup/configuration. When I go to the Console of the system identity, I can see the Sun One Directory Server users. When I tried to create a user, group or organization, I see the error message

  In the pane actions on the right in the tab general, you should be able to click on properties, then change the basic properties. From there, you can select which roles can view your dashboard. It should then appear in the pane on the left at the bottom under 'other dashboard users' (or something equivalent).
  I have not found a way to put my dashboard in the "my dashboards" of another user if.

  Not really, no.

  DW is not really made for people who do not understand code, and it allows for virtually everything you touch, break if you don't know what you're doing.

  Unless the web guy you had created some kind of content management system, I think that the best will be to hire a professional to establish periodic updates, or to create a Government area CMS for you to make changes without breaking any code (something like Wordpress or Joomla).

  (1) create a dummy resource, say 'CREATE the RESOURCE USER IOM'... It should be of type 'Order of the organization' and not 'Order for User. Create a model organization, such as CREATE USER ORGANIZATION or better ORGANIZATION OF USER OPERATIONS too for the sole purpose of acceptance of the application.

  In the form of resources either in the form of object, take all required attributes such as user login, first name, last name, organization etc.

  (2) establish an approval process: say "assign system Admin Approval '.

  (3) in the assignment tab, assign the task to the Group--> SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (or any other group of your business condition)

  Optionally, you can even send emails too.

  (4) in the process of commissioning, in the stream, flow, the shape of the object in your process.

  (5) in the "Create a user" task, call tcUserOperationsIntf.createUser () and pass all from processes form...

  (6) raises 'request '... Fill in the data... And then approve it... The user must be created...

  (7) in the CREATE USER ORGANIZATION profile resource, the IOM CREATE USER the RESOURCE and the process shape shows all the attributes of the user.

  vCenter pulls users and groups from the local server to Windows, or preferably Active Directory.  You add your users there, and then assign permissions with users in vCenter.

  It should work very easily.

  What you have to do is give the domain name as domain (default myrealm) weblogic, this step you already have you're abe to authenticate.

  Now in jazn-"Data.xml", there are 2 types of roles. Application role & business role. Select business roles when assigning permissions. These should also be the same roles myrealm.

  You can also use the application role and have a relationship between the application role & business role.

  Only the care you need to take are to deploy the application in the EAR file, deployed a flag there migrate suite security users and security groups object. Deselect it.
  When you use the user groups and migrate the Application roles.
