Creating an icon of web browser for Playbook

Following the steps described on this page below I'm stuck at the part of creation of the full browser due to some certificate on the command line error messages.  This position requires update?  I am able to create a web application "chrome", but I need to create a full browser giving access to external URLS.

No, it isn't. An application WebWorks is an instance without wrapping the same rendering engine used by the native browser application, but not sharing the chrome.

I think what you're looking for is a way to launch the browser application to a URL target of an icon on the home screen.  You can do technically with JavaScript, but you want to set a screen image loading in your config.xml file otherwise you will see a white screen before the launch of the Explorer.

    Some MX controls (OK, a lot) are not supported under the BB SDK.  For example, mx. Alert does not work, you must use the AlertDialog QNX class.  See docs QNX to:

    In addition, FlashBuilder is the IDE that is supprted, Flex Builder (3.x) is not supprted.  FlashBuilder 4.x is what you need, but which is not supported under Linux.  You should be able to download the 0.9.1 BB SDK for Linux and the use of the CLI version for a project of will.

    If you are a Flex application, you need to change the root node of a node (Application or WindowedApplication) AIR (if not already done).  If so, act like and more taking orders from MX which are not supported, I keep your business logic and simply change the front-end server with native controls of QNX/BB.

    But first, I would try just get a "Hello World" application to compile and run as an AIR application and then send it on the Simulator to get their feet wet.  then see what it would take to get your application scope.

    Here are a few points to answer your question

    (1) - to fill the full browser with a photo - you can use this image browser fill.

    (2) - the quality of the image will remain the same, will not be carried out is not stretched.

    (3) - If you put a strong image browser will certainly be respected take time to load.

    I try to use the view in the links of the web browser for the old emails, but they give me this message below.  I think it might have something to do with the campaign/email being in a State of "complete."  Is there a way around it where I can get email as a web page?

    See it 'online' link only works for a limited time after the emails are sent. "Full" status does not directly affect whether or not the link still works.

    If you want a more permanent version, you can just create a web page of your email and put this link in the email instead of one generated by Eloqua. If you do this, you will lose any customization you have in the email.

    You see in the Notification area? Right-click on an empty spot. Properties | Customize Notification icons and adjust the setting for the MSE icon.

    If you must have the it on the desktop: start | All programs. Right-click on MSE and create a shortcut on the desktop.

    As I mentioned in a previous post on the Scripting Forum (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/427791), methods that previously worked in Acrobat 8 to get the object of doc JS of a PDF document that is opened in a web browser - for example App.activeDocs . using the JS object and AcroApp.GetAVDoc (index). GetPDDoc using OLE automation - no longer works in Acrobat 9.  Therefore, in Acrobat 9, it is impossible to access a PDF file that is opened in a browser or in its annotations (except, of course, the PDF is downloaded to the computer and open through the NTFS, which kind of defeated the purpose).

    If the plugin exposes a DDE interface - of course.  But this assumes that he is there--it is not automatic.  You will need to write your own plugin or get an update if necessary.

    There are two ways that you can do with a BlackBerry.

    (1) you can push an icon on the desktop of users using push of BES or the new WebSignals.  This method requires no code peripheral side, but it requires the code side Server integrated with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) or our WebSignals public service

    (2) you can create a small Java application that is installed on the device that launches the browser to a specific URL.  You will need to Java plug-in for Eclipse to get there.

    Nancy...  It seems to work.  In fact, I tried something similar and came up with similar results.  I add extra (for testing) and had to top-level menu item increase the "width: 48em" width: 58 em to adapt the additional menu item.  But it seems good.  I'm sure that when I become more familiar with CSS, I'll be able to update these things myself.

    One last question...  When you set the color of the menu items?  I tried to change the color elements for the "buttons" from dark red to something, but has not been able to change.

    I've been using Firefox as my default browser for years. However, beginning with FF11 and continues with FF12, it became so slow to load web pages that it has become practically unusable. IE, Opera, and Chrome are all must faster. If someone knows a solution, I'd love to hear about it.

    I live in rural Texas and it is true that my ISP is not the fastest 'high speed' in the world - 1, 5 - 2.0mbps, but other browsers can handle this OK. No Firefox.

    I tried to disable ALL add and extensions. I got FF up to bare bones - without tab, no whistles or bells - and yet it's very slow. I've already replaced my router - no help. I tried to empty the memory cache, settings, same run the «Speed Up My Firefox» software Nothing seems to help.

    It is clearly a problem of Firefox. I'd like to go back to Firefox, but I don't have the patience to wait while he takes his own load time of web pages.

    Any ideas?

    I edited this post to remove some questionable information and keep only what I know works for me.

    The setting network.http.keep - alive false seems to provide the greatest improvement, but I think that setting network.http... Max-connections to 64 maybe helped a little in my case, since I have a slow connection 'broadband '.

    I also reinstalled FF12 with these changes, and the problem seems to be resolved.

    For now, this seems to have solved my problems. If things start going downhill, I will return.
