Creating attachments PDF documents

I have a client who asked to go in several archived messages, which have been stored on a network share (not in his vision), open each one and then save them in PDF format. When she opens the emails with no spare, she can do this very easily. However, when she tries to open an email with some Excel spreadsheets attached or documents Word and then save that email in PDF format, it 's going to create a PDF file of this email only, but NOT attachments. Thus, when this email is saved in PDF format, and then she clicks on attachments that it contains, the current worksheet Excel or Word document opens, and she doesn't want this to be possible. I got it it show me and it works basically the way she described. She said she wants the bindings to ALSO be recorded in the form of PDF documents so that if it sends these emails (which are now a PDF), no one can simply open the attachments and make changes to them. I told him I'm not sure that you can actually do this without going into each attachment and creating copies of each PDF attachment first, but she insisted on the fact that she has been able to do before only she does not remember how. She seems to think there is something wrong with its 10 Adobe Acrobat Pro, but I do know that adobe was never really able to do this.

I found a 3rd party provider, Nuance, that says this:

Create PDFs of attachments to a mail

But I don't know if there could be an open in Adobe itself to do. If someone could give me a difinitive answer, what would be really useful.

Thank you.

Hi administratorp33239327,

In Acrobat when creating an email PDF attachments download included in the PDF but they opened in their respective application. They get not converted to PDF.

That is how Acrobat is designed.

Kind regards

  • Can I create a PDF document that can be commented by others using the PLAYER

I have dozens (hundreds?) of PDF books I bought. One who created made them if anyone using Adobe Reader 5 or can be done better highlights and comments on the text.  I use the function to correct typos and send to the Publisher. I know this is possible because I've done it for several years before I ever get Adobe Standard.

So... My question is... How can I create documents like this that can be placed in the comments on the use of Adobe Reader? I have Adobe 8 Standard and I don't see this as a separate Adobe Pro feature. and I hope Miss me just instructions on how it's done. I don't have any problem to do what I want to use Adobe 8 Standard, but I need to be able to make it feasible in Reader so that others can make comments in my documents.

Thank you for taking the time...

'Enable usage rights in Adobe Reader' or "Extend the functionality of Adobe Reader"
are available with Acrobat 8 Professional / 3D version 8 or Acrobat Professional / Pro Extended respectively.
In addition, Adobe provides basic service (LiveCycle ES) server that "active / extends" PDF as Adobe Reader can be used for observation, examination, Digital Signature, etc..

You can use Adobe Reader to comment on PDF files means a requests above were used.
Because you mentioned that PDFs are purchased the manuals in PDF format, I suspect that LiveCycle ES was used.
This application based on the server (which has a myriad of 'modules' available) is expensive so, in general, it is allowed by the companies that need its features. Examples: the majors publishers or Government agencies (e.g., IRS).

If you move upward, to Acrobat Professional, that you will be able to "extend features in Adobe Reader ' such that others can run comments & reviews on your PDF documents.

As Acrobat 9.x is the current version, marketed as the professional version would be made available via an upgrade (do not be confused with the free "updates").

  • Why not my PDF documents display correctly on Firefox?

I run a web site. Recently, I've upgraded to Adobe Acrobat 11. My version of Firefox is also the most recent. Since my upgrade Adobe, Firefox will not display my PDF documents correctly. There are gaps in the text box (i.e. a few sentences here, but many are missing) this isn't a problem with explore, Chrome, Opera or Safari, so I think it's a Firefox problem. A fix is coming?

It may take a while for changes in pdf.js to upgrade to a version of Firefox.

This preset are you using to create your PDF documents? If you have time to experiment, you could see if using one of the predefined/formats backward compatible settings plus allows you to get the desired result with greater compatibility for the moment. https://helpx.Adobe.com/Acrobat/using/PDF-conversion-settings.html

Apparently, that created this PDF document failed to incorporate the required fonts (s) in the file before the publication/distribution and you didn't font installed on your computer.  You will need to find which fonts specific you need and get and install cases before being able to print.

  • create new pdf c#

At my organization, all computers have Acrobat Pro installed. The company does not use third-party tools.

I'm having a hard time finding examples or documentation on how to create PDFs with c#. I added a reference to the library of types of Acrobat in my c# application. But I do not know where to go to from there. I've done this several years in Microsoft Access VBA, but I have more code to try to adapt it to the c# language.

My question is, can someone please provide an example of a c# method that takes a string and uses the text of the string to create a PDF document, and then save the document to a folder on windows? Also, how I create the Acrobat application and document objects and close properly? I remember the VBA to be closed before they were destroyed.

I tried looking at the Adobe Forums. I also spent many hours on Google. I thought it would be a good place to ask for help. Thank you.

Your understanding is quite wrong. The Acrobat SDK kit is exactly what you need. I'm not sure what you think the Acrobat SDK kit is... maybe you think Adobe's PDF library.

The Acrobat SDK kit is a collection of documentation and examples, which gives information and resources required by all programmers who want to work with Acrobat. So it is useful to people with Acrobat. The Acrobat SDK kit does not create a PDF files, it tells you how you can use Acrobat to do this. The SDK is free.

However, if you want to create a PDF file that contains a page with a single string, which is not a particularly easy task. You are unlikely to find an example of this, and you may need to get a deeper understanding of the PDF format and write a plug-in for Acrobat.

  • How to configure the nonprinting elements on PDF document.

    Hello world.

I am trying to create a PDF document with background elements including the background color, images and some geometric elements that I want to be displayed when the document is displayed on a computer screen, but that do not appear when teleworkers is printed.

How can I configure the PDF so that some elements are visible but not printable?

    TIA,

    Joe.

PS: in case the information is relevant, I'm under Acrobat version 9.5.3.

Yes, the layers is quite accurate. A background that you add with Acrobat is a layer, it just appears in the layers navigation panel. Creating the InDesigner layer is even better than what I suggested. Once you have it in Acrobat you can set it to be visible, but not print.

  • Add a form to a PDF document

    Good day all.

This may seem a little weird, but here goes.

I've created a form that requires a good amount of material to fill.

I wanted to know if it was possible to create a PDF document and the PDF document is a PDF form. When the user fills out the form, they must click on a button to email in the form and that the form would be sent.

    Any suggestions

    Chomp

You can either attach your form to a PDF or a PDF portfolio, or you can design a form that hides all the undesirable elements (subforms, fields...) when you submit the form.

For the last one, you can use this technique to John Brinkman.
