  I'm getting the following exception in the user interface when I click on submit button (/ commit or any other button) for date fields. I created the default objects entity and notices for the database table. I'm poplating the data after executing the "Execute" operation on the iterator for the view.
  
  Cannot be created with the value ' 22/09/2009' field object type oracle.jbo.domain.Date. +
  
  Even if I had not made any changes to the date also fields, it's give the exception message in the user interface and do not return the form.
  
  Could you please help me to solve the issue.

  What is your version of JDev? And what technology do you use to model? BC4J? Can you try to change the format of the attribute in the object view? Say with the type of Simple date format and format "mm/dd/yyyy".

  I am very new to JDeveloper/OAF, I'm an online example how to create an entity object. When I right click, new entity object, the objects of database is EMPTY, I expect that my tables will be listed here. I have already created a database connection and tested it successfully. When creating the new workspace, I defined the DBC file, my name of user and password, the abbreviated name of the application and the keys, I also defined a new package. What else is that I'm missing? I saw when the definition of a new package, it suggests a format particular as name.oracle.apps.component.subcomponent.webui, it has something to do with my problem? Is this format that is posted somewhere? Why do I get a blank list?

  Solved. I just replaced with the version you originally downloaded .dbc files. I remember that I took off the APPS_JDBC_URL line (following a statement online for a problem I encountered earlier). No doubt this has solved the problem.

• Create the directory objects with the path environment variable

  I need to create a directory object and wonder if it's valid to use an environment variable in the nom_chemin?  Example:

  CREATE or REPLACE DIRECTORY XMLDIR AS ' $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/xml ";

  I read the following in the Oracle 11.2 documentation, but it is is not clear to me if an environment variable is allowed or not.  My reason for wanting to use a variable of environment as opposed to hard coding is for when I update, I have no back reference to the old House of Oracle.

  Put into service a new linked clone from parent VM

  New virtual machine created, starts, runs without error

  Quickprep creates a new computer object in the OU that is specified in the customization of comments

  Nothing else is done I can work on

  Linked clone is accessible, and I can log in with the domain administrator account

  Linked clone still has parent VM name and DNS and DHCP it still consider the name of parents

  No log is created on the linked clone, so I don't know what is wrong

  According to the events in VMware View Administrator, 1 hour after the video settings are configured, the customization is to expire.

  No errors in the log events windows on the linked clone

  If it were a physical computer, it would be 12 stories down in a bin at the moment!

  You also resinstall the view Agent? (VMware Tools and view Agent is not the same thing.)

  var myClass: class = myClassRef in class; should be first tested to make sure that is actually a class...

  I'm going to assume that your Collection is out by a table function - i.e. "FUNCTION my_function(my_parm IN VARCHAR2) RETURN my_collection_type; If this is true, then you can make SELECT it for your VO like this:

  SELECT *
    FROM TABLE(my_function(:my_parm))
  

  You can even create a variable binding for: my_parm. You will get an attribute for each item in the folder, or if the collection is a collection of a scalar type (such as VARCHAR2), an attribute (there is a fixed name for this attribute, but I don't remember what it is offhand).

  Would appreciate any thoughts on the following. I have an interface where the layout of the background image, scheme of color/alpha presence/absence of certain controls etc. is driven by a descriptor XML file, so that the different choices of menus lead to proper sanitation of the interface.
  I would like to add the facility to have optional controls where I specify the type in the descriptor file - for example, only one can use a box of text while the other one image. In this simple case, I would of course have a flag stored in the descriptor and a switch statement, but I prefer not to put this choice too precipitously in the code. The most likely situation is that I have a number of all custom components subclassed to, say, Panel or canvas and make a choice between them.
  So what I want to do, it's something like:

  But I could not do my job. What I need, that I have to get the Image from a web site (not in the project of ths) and display it in the BB device. I can do this and I get byte array and show the image using BitmapField. But this installation of scrolling does not work with the bitmap field.
