Creative Audigy

Hi all..

I have reinstalled operating system of my XPS M-1330 (Win Vista Home Premium). Audio drivers have been installed correctly. During the installation of the creative audiomanager (for srs dolby functionality), an internet connection was required for my CD key could be verified. I am connected and after filling out the paperwork it says that the key has expired and I need to buy a new key. I got the CD with my system and I paid for the license. Why my CD key has expired so what should I do to solve the problem?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I just bought a Creative Audigy 2 ZS sound card, which is excellent, much better than the piece of bad quality (in my opinion) of material that accompanies it. But I thought I'd find out other buyers from the perspective of this card that it heats up a fair bit. The problem is that the only warm place on the P100-188 (for me) was under the left Palm (maybe the graphics card is placed here) everywhere else was fine, the problem is that the PCMCIA socket is also in the same area, so when the sound card is used for heat in this area is considerably increased makes it uncomfortable typing for a while. I'm not too concerned, as I bought it mainly for games, and (for once) being left handed means that according to the means of the mouse will not rest my hand on the hot zone, but a right handed the person using the keys WASDX or similar for steering in FPS games the accumulation of heat in this area could be a problem.

I just thought I'd let people know this potential on the side for another great product.

  • Satellite L10-202 & Creative Audigy ZS PCMCIA Notebook2 - does not work

    Hello!

I bought Notebook Audigy 2 PCMCIA yesterday and I have a big problem. My laptop Toshiba Satellite L10-202 (Celeron M 1.6, 512 DDR, PCCARD II with Texas Instruments PCCARD controller 1410) does not detect the card Audigy.

What should I do to solve my problem? I have a pcmcia controller update?

Help me, please... I don't know what I have to do...

    Kuba

    Hello

I don't know if an update of the PCMCIA controller will help solve this problem of m.
I think you should first check some settings in the BIOS. There should be a configuration of device option. Here, you can switch to Setup OS or all devices.
If it has been set for all devices, you will be able to change the PC Card controller mode.

    Check it out.

  • Creative Audigy Advanced MB for Vista?

Is it possible to order a new one or something? I returned to my Inspiron E1705 a few years. The Audigy drive came with it, as well as XP. Recently, I installed Vista and can't stand the mediocre sound from these speakers without the program. Well, not only I don't have a Vista-compatible disc, I don't have the disc even more. I can't find anywhere. On top of everything else, my warranty has expired. So is it possible to get a copy of Vista? If it is not free, I'd be willing to spend $20 for it. However...

The express card Soundblaster X - Fi extreme Audio looking good right now. I know it is supposed to improve the audio on external speakers, but it will enhance audio to the speakers of the laptop as well? It would be of better quality than the Audigy Advanced MB? Is it compatible with Vista?

  • Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 not recognized ZS running Win 7 Ultimate - 64-bit

    Friends,

I have a situation where I ask for a help. It's as follows:

    1. the old desktop that PC is equipped with a device for Creative Sound Blaster USB based - Audigy 2 ZS attached, it was purchased in August 2008 and since then, initially worked with Win XP (32-bit) - August 2008 to Oct 2012, then Oct. 2012 (when I upgraded the operating system to Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit) until last week when I upgraded the PC hardware.

    2. However, after the upgrade, the PC does not recognize this device shows at all - a yellow exclamation mark with a label "unknown device" in Device Manager, when I connect the device to the USB port.

    3. the last time (in 2012) when I upgraded the OS on the old XP PC to Win 7 hardware, the operating system recognizes the device even without installing the drivers (i.e. for Audigy 2 ZS of Creative) and he has been active (usable), as soon as I plugged the same. However, later I applied Win 7 64 bit drivers from the Creative support site. Now, even though I applied the drivers for Win 7 64 bit for the device, it is not recognized under Windows.

At the config of my old PC: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6540, card mother Intel graphics card Nvidia GT 220, some hard drives SATA 2 x 250 GB, 8 GB of RAM.

At the config of my new PC: Intel Core i3 (3rd generation), card mother Gigabyte, graphics card Nvidia GTX 650, SATA 1 x 1 TB hard drives & 1 x 250 GB, 8 GB of RAM.

I understand that this question, referring to the Creative device, should not fall directly under the responsibility of Microsoft, however, I looking for entries from anyone who may have any suggestions or is faced with identical situations / similar. Thanks for the patience to read this long query.

    -Milind

    BossDweebe,

Thanks for the suggestions. The origin of difficulties - the PC also has graphics card Nvidia GTX 650 and as part of the package of drivers for this graphics card, HD Audio driver (Nvidia) also was installing. This HD audio driver not allow Creative Audigy 2 ZS on USB to be recognized as an audio device. So I had to remove the HD from Nvidia audio driver and then install (an update) Creative driver for the device. It worked.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

CAN ANY 1 CAN HELP ME!

    Hi buddy300,
Welcome to Microsoft windows vista forums!

    a. this happens only with games?

    b. remember that any changes made to your computer before this problem?
Have c. you installed a software debugger on the computer?

This problem may occur if one or more of the following conditions are met:

    ·         There are programs (for example, an antivirus program or debugging software) that run in the background and that interfere with the game startup process.

    ·          Your sound card or sound card drivers are outdated.

    ·         His Creative Audigy card is installed on your computer. This sound card may conflict with the game startup process.

I suggest you do the following:

Step 1: disable the security software on the system tray and then check.

(Note: enable security software after the test)

    Step 2:

Put the computer in a clean boot (namely if any third-party software hinders the process)

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135 ---> how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Check with step 1 (run a clean boot):-If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

(Note: after find you the problem causing the program, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program and also don't forget to put the computer to a normal startup)

Step 3: try the steps mentioned in the article

Games: Error Message: a debugger has been detected: unload the debugger and try again

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/812759

Step 4: System Restore: -to restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, type system restore in the search box and then in the list click on the system restore program. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    b. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose another restore point and then click Next.

    c. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem and then click Next.

    d. click Finish.

    e. the computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in at the time where the restore point has been created.

  • Best way to decide what programs are safe to delete?

I did everything you can imagine to improve performance on my PC and finally facing the last hurdle. There are WAY to many installed programs. I removed everything that I use on a regular basis. Now I am faced with many programs that I use that came with other included software, and I want to get rid of the secondary programs. Two examples:

    1. I bought AVS Audio Converter, because he understands more than any freeware/shareware that I could find. But it also came with AVS Update Manager and AVS4YOU Software Navigator (totaling more than 19 MB)
    2. the software that controls my Creative Audigy sound cart also came with Creative MediaSource, Creative Software AutoUpdate and Creative System Information (totally more than 156 MB).
I could just try and shoot them, but I don't know if I will get a warning that this program X program requires Z 'talk' to the program. When it comes to repairing the damage be re-setup, let's say that my efforts to keep track of original installation CD have been well intentioned but above all ineffective. Two examples are just the visible part of the iceberg. I'll have to contact technical support for each company that sold me the software? Alternatives?

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

  • Sound Volume settings do not go below 20% or greater than 70% HELP!

After restoring my computer using Norton Ghost because of this problem, it happened again after several days and I have no idea why, or how to solve this problem.

The green light on volume will be not less than 20% and not more than 70% using different volume controls.  This is verified by going to the control panel and looking at the settings of the sound card and all mixer controls accessed through entertainment console commands.

All of them, no matter how I try to adjust my volume, can't go to zero, full 100%.

I'm pretty sure that I did not visit all websites would have done anything to my system, although it is not always guaranteed.  I also run Avast Antivirus and Malwarebyte Anti-malware constantly.

This issue first appeared a few weeks ago, during which, after struggling to set things straight I restored my system and yet tonight no reason apparent.

When I try to move the cursor under a minimum of 20% is refuse and bounces.  And even more than high 70%.  It's as if some type of compression thing happening automatically as I do not turn.  Not that I know of.

Everyone heard about this problem before?  How to fix?

I thought I had discovered a solution.  Don't know how or why it worked, or what has caused this setting initially, but here's what I discovered:

I went to Windows Media Player after having reviewed the Options tool, judged on the tab DEVICES, speakers highlighted and clicked on PROPERTIES, as the device to use default Directsound device.  I changed it to the map of his Creative Audigy, I have in my office and that seemed to do the trick.

Yet once, don't know how this has changed or if it has never changed a bad choice, but by changing it ((retour) return) for my Creative Labs Audigy card, fixed levels of sound volume to 0 and 100%.

    = = = = = = = = =

This post is almost a month after the one above.  This solution (changing the speaker inside Windows Media Player properties) does not work for me.  The problem I wrote originally, returned again tonight, and the difficulty that I thought I had discovered does NOT work.

Everyone, if you know why the Green level bar can get stuck at 20% to 70% please advise!

I don't know how to solve this problem.

Please see the following link for the Dell Web site, you should be able to manually choose your machine and your operating system:

I guess the problem with the Windows Audio endpoint builder, it's that you have disabled the Windows on Windows 7 power management.  For some reason, the audio services cannot start if power management is disabled.

I was going to install the software for my UPS APC power management and requires that the Windows power management is disabled.  I disabled the service and rebooted the system and noticed that the audio services is not started.  You try to start their hand gave the errors you mentioned.  When I started the service of power management, I was able to start audio services.

Microsoft does not mark as services that depend on it, but there is a relationship.  I know that in Windows 7, which they said he optimized use of energy for the audio and I guess audio services are looking at power management to see what type of profile is in use.  Because power management does not work, it is unavailable and terminate the audio services.  Again, this is just a guess, and I can't find definitive answers to this topic.
