  • 2015 CC customized keyboard shortcuts

    Hello

I tried CC 2015 and the biggest issue I have so far, is that keyboard shortcuts custom I painstakingly wrote in the document "Adobe After Effects Mac en_US Shortcuts.txt 13.2', located (similar to the CC 2014) in Effects/13.5 Volume/users/user/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After is being written over at Ae launch. So, no more custom shortcuts for me at the moment.

I'm surprised that there are no recent posts to this topic, so I wonder if I'm the only one with this problem.

Any ideas why my Ae replaces my updated the document "Adobe After Effects 13.2 Mac Shortcuts.txt en_US. Everything in the modified document is identical to the "Adobe After Effects Mac en_US Shortcuts.txt 13.2" document by default (with the exception of my modifier keys). No error message, just replaced at the launch of the Ae. I tried write protecting her updated "Adobe After Effects Mac en_US Shortcuts.txt 13.2" but who did cause an error of Ae.

    Thanks for any help,

    DK

OK, so since no. we have something to offer, I tell myself that I have to spend time on it on my own. Here's what I discovered:

The new keyboard shortcuts for After Effects, Ae, Creative Cloud 2015 text file is named "Adobe After Effects Mac en_US Shortcuts.txt 13.5" affixed to 2014 is named "Adobe After Effects 13.2 Mac Shortcuts.txt en_US. For the last few updates everything we had to do was rename the previous text with the name of the new text file and replace in the more recent Preferences folder.

However, it did not work for the most recent update. The old text file header and the text file are exactly the same, so I me assuming that the rest of the text is the same except for a few pieces of text for my personal shortcuts, I changed... But of course it was wrong.

I did a comparison more near the previous text file and that of CC2015.

203 - at the line 'major_version' = '80' is now 'major_version' = "85"... That's all. That was what was causing the copy / paste my previous text of shortcuts to be rejected by Ae CC 2015.

So, I copy and pasted everything after 'major_version' = '85' on line 203... the text file is now is more replaced at EI launches and all my shortcuts work in reality... However, some of the predefined shortcuts that work are now no longer works. This means that Adobe has changed some of the other key basic mapping in 2015 of CC.

Here are two major changes that I found so far:

line 402 - "TimePlay' = '(space)' doesn't exist more in 2015 CC and is now at line 405 - 'TimeSpacebarPlay' ="(space),"

    also in the new CC 2015 "Preview" = "(Pad0) (PadInsert)(macControl+0)" is now "PreviewNumpad0" = "(Pad0) (PadInsert)(macControl+0)" on line 437

These two shortcuts render preview and should not be changed.

I guess you need to decide if its worth your efforts to go to the text file and just change the keys you want to change, and leave the rest alone. Or, if the doing some precision copy and paste are better. A pain so be it, but its good to know that the mod custom keyboard shortcut doesn't work effectively again.

  • What happened to my custom keyboard shortcuts?

I had to reset prefs, so I deleted the .psp and find my custom file. It did not work. I had weird events, like all the crop tool would show is culture in pixels that refused to change in inches. So I rebooted the default values. Later, I found another copy on a different HD the same pref file, loaded it and it ran fine, until I tried to use my custom keyboard shortcut configuration. All gone! I'm back to the default settings. I looked for the registered version, but what I find is the default file.

It's a place recorded except the shortcut file and if so, where and if not, why not? How can I have created personalized, saved parameters then lose them to reset the prefs?

  • What I am doing wrong? My custom keyboard shortcut will not work.

    CS5, Mac.

I want to assign a keyboard shortcut for "isolate an object selected. I found the list shortcut and assigned an F key, but it doesn't work. I turned OFF all the contradictory system shortcuts, in "keyboard Options. What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you.

Maybe worth a try: go to the Actions palette menu and activate the Mode button so that can quickly see if the F7 key is assigned to an action (which probably does nothing).

F that are assigned to the actions keys supplant the F keys defined as General keyboard shortcuts.

  • Settings > general > keyboard > shortcuts toggle?

I am running iOS 10.0.2 on my Plus 7 iPhone and my iPad 12,9 Pro.

When I go into settings > general > keyboard IPAD Pro, there is a "Shortcuts" under the rocker switch to "Enable Caps Lock" and above the toggle to "Predictive". (Note that the rocker "Shortcuts" also appears on an iPad running iOS 10.0.2). 2 Air

On iPhone 7 more, however, there is no such rocking "shortcuts".

Because, on this same page settings, both devices have an "Alternate text" option that you can type on enter custom keyboard shortcuts, I have no idea what the rocker "Shortcuts" on iPad is for.

I did on 1 million various searches on Google and you have not found the answer.

    Could someone kindly enlighten me?

    Thank you.

The shortcuts are for tools to the left and to the right of the top of the keyboard that you see here. The iPhone screen is probably too small to make use of this feature.

  • How to synchronize keyboard shortcuts?

I read this: InDesign help | Sync settings using Adobe Creative Cloud. But I can't understand how to get my custom keyboard shortcuts appears in CC 2015. Here is my shortcuts dialog box keyboard in CC 2014.I think that the {Kelly} was set by default by DTP Tools keyboard shortcuts plugin, but for some reason, I can't get that to work in 2015 CC.)

What should I do to get my KBSC custom in this drop down? Should not be there after I sync the settings? I have synced last my settings 5 minutes ago, and it has no effect on my KBSC. It seems that there should be a "Load Set" button in the dialog box.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Kelly Vaughn

    Hi Kelly

Synchronization of InDesign setting function is useful to synchronize your setting (PDF preset, menuset, KBSC, glyphset) through two different system.

On the same machine to migrate the settings for old version to the new version, you must use Edit > migrate settings the precedents as mentioned above Bob.

If the migration happens to be successful then your old KBSC version will be displayed in a newer version on the same machine.

    Thank you

  • How to move keyboard shortcuts to the new installation of PS6

I have a new SP6 installation on the new computer (Windows 7). Is it possible to move my old machine custom keyboard shortcuts?

Photoshop CS6 (not 6.0) on both systems?  If so, here's an idea...

On the old machine, save your workspace as a named workspace and make sure to include keyboard shortcuts.

Find the file named in the following folder on the old machine and copy it to the same location on the new machine.

    \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings\WorkSpacesyourusernameC:\Users\

Then start Photoshop on the new machine.  The named workspace should be available for you allows to load.

  • The missing value default keyboard shortcuts

After running a program overcome some of my computer problems with my registry, I discovered that all my default, workplace agreements and sets of custom keyboard shortcuts, Swatch had disappeared. Arrangements of the workspace and the nuances are not on hard replace and make new ones. More annoying is that the default shortcut set is missing (Edition-> keyboard-> Set shortcuts), the list is empty.

Is it possible to find this set somewhere? And where should I put it once I found it?

See replace your preferences, but frankly I think you did real to play in the registry damage and the best way to fix it is to reinstall.

  • Keyboard shortcut for an Export Preset Custom question

Here's my question that I can't find an answer in the forum.

I'm in grid mode, I use the painter to the gun to paint on the presets.  Now I have a single predefined custom export image I would like to use to export the images I added a custom wait - all by keyboard shortcut.

Is it possible to use a keyboard shortcut to apply to a custom preset?

I do not see that you can use the keyboard shortcut for 'export' previous and I see that I can right click and down to my presets, but I would like to be able to select my specific predefined export and apply a keyboard shortcut to this one in particular.   Is there a way?

(When I try to use export with previous for some reason, it seems by default not preset I wish.)

    I use Lightroom 5; on a mac.

I really like the features of Premiere Pro or Photoshop where you can shortcuts for custom game, can this feature please be brought to Lightroom?  Or maybe there is already and I'm missing?  Thanks for the help

There is no provision to customize keyboard shortcuts in Lightroom.  The option "export with previous" refers to the previous export Setup, not the last develop used preset.
