Data Import Wizard

I am trying to import clients for my Dev machine using the DIW Infra v8

I get the following error:

Error loading the data file.
Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: "" key is added: "".

Never seen this?

All funny always happens to my systems!

OH well

Merlin

It resembles a comma or the end. He has already added an empty column name and now wants to add another. After the csv file. It will highlight issue better than the error.

  • Behavior of the data import wizard when he meets a date/time field

    Hello

Recently, I downloaded SqlDevelper 4.1.2.20 and used the wizard importing data for the first time.  In general, this has been a process easy and simple to use.

I noticed a strange behaviour and I was wondering if that was seen by someone else.

On importing data from an Excel worksheet, I met several fields with the date/time data,

The Import Wizard is almost always empty the format field and showed in the "Columns of data sources" section this column and EACH column of data once it is in error.

Once you get the correct format, I often found that I have to press the 'Back' button to clear the other columns of data to be deceived.   And, in some cases, I saw where the columns previously posted were then marked as error.

Basically, anything after the column date corrected was wrong until an update of the "Source of data columns" has been done.

If anyone else has noticed this?

haven't noticed, does not mean that it is not a problem

  • How to filter by object name in the Dictionary data import wizard

I want to filter some tables I don't want not included in my data dictionary import wizard.  Let's say, I want to filter all tables whose names include _Test?  I don't know how to work the filter box and I did not filter anything really.

I guess that you are importing from MS SQL Server. So you see table with 4 columns (Selected, the user name of the object database) - take the 'Object name' column with the mouse and put it on the second position. Filtering should work.

  • Importing data into Tables - by using the Import Wizard - Null values

    Hi all

I would like to use the data import wizard to import data into existing intermediate tables, that are already filled with data.

However, when you import my CSV file, while the import completes without error, all of the empty cells are filled with (null)"- is anyway to prevent this?

For example, ColumnA contains data for lines 1-11 and 12-14 15-30 but row are empty, when you download the wizard of column rows 12-14 are wired populated "(null)". I would like to prevent this

Thanks a lot for your help

    ROss

Yes, it shows a (null), but there is nothing there.
If you go to sqlplus and do a query on the table, it shows a white.

If you want to get rid of the (null), then go to Tools - Preferences - Database - Advanced - display Null value like: remove the (null)
You can even display a different background color when it is null if you wish.

  • How to set a default value in the Import Wizard delimited for the date?

    Hello community,

I am currently trying to import some files delimited in a SQL table via the Import Wizard (right-click on a Table "import data... ") with delimited as input (.dsv) files.

In step 4 of the wizard, I put the columns in the Source files for the target of the columns of the Table.

Now, this is where my problem. Whenever a target column has the format "date", I define the mask of translation you want for each column.

I would like to define a mask by default so that the same format is always used.

User interface, it looks like this field also exists:

    field_greyed_out.png

However I can't put it in the wizard itself, and I'm not able to find the option in the preferences.

I tried the following preferences (Oracle SQL Developer 4.0.2):

Preferences-> database->-> all NLS date 3 preferences set to "HH24:MI:SS DD. MM YYYY ".

Preferences-> Migration-> translators-> Format of Date Source default value "HH24:MI:SS DD. MM YYYY ".

    Preference-> Migration-> data move Options->

    DataMove.PNG

But still, I have to type it every time.

Can someone explain how to set the default value?

    You can not.

    But.

In the next major release, we seek to:

    • selection of a menu selector common date formats drop-down
    • Save your import settings session and their reloading for later import

I think you have a good idea, maybe it defaults to MRU. When we start the process of the Beta/early adopter, be sure to check and let us know what you think. For the moment, and what I'm doing, I copy the date format string and paste them in such as required. I'm not a super big fan of having default values in 'automatically' added because it can lead to mistakes, and in this case, data corruption issues.

  • The photo Import Wizard - no new photos are can it be reset?

I imported my photos with the wizard, but I chose to keep the subfolders option... Well after seeing how it was organized in too many cases, I've changed my mind. I then deleted images from the PC and ATTEMPT to redo the import.

Now every time I have insert the SD card, I get a popup saying that no new pictures have been found. Normally fine, but I need them to be imported again. I know I can just manually copy, but I want that they arranged according to date taken and which would take a lot of work manually.

Y at - it anyway that reset so that the pictures are recognized as having never been imported. The images are on my SD card only, they have been removed from the computer (same trash). No new pictures were slow to be taken using my Panasonic Lumix digi cam and SD card

I have a card reader in my laptop HP G62. Windows 7 64-bit.

I had the same problem.  I saw a few asking indicated to rename the database of photos from Windows Live Photo Gallery, or Windows Photo Gallery.  I solved my problem by going to the Windows Live Photo Gallery - and then manually selecting import photo and it will give the opportunity to every new import or organize existing.  Selecting the existing organization in the Import Wizard brings all the photos.

If you want to go on the way to rename the Photos DB, see this link:

    http://www.Vistax64.com/Vista-music-pictures-video/74007-re-import-pictures-using-Windows.html

Note that in this link, it refers to .pd4 files - Windows Live Photo Gallery has moved to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery and the type of file .pd6.

  • Photo Import Wizard

The new import pictures Wizard & Video with Windows 7 is much less functional than the one that comes with Windows XP. For example, I now have to import all the images on a disk, rather than choose the ones I want. I also have to create a folder, they are based on the tag, date, etc. There is no other choice if I don't want to create a new folder. I do something wrong or can I go back to the XP version of this import wizard?  Thank you very much!

    Hello MJBNYC,

    ·         You use the Windows Live Photo Gallery to import pictures on your computer?

There is an option to choose the photos you want to import into Windows 7.

You need to change the settings for importing pictures and videos.

Connect the device that you are importing the photos of:

Insert a CD or DVD that contains pictures or videos in your data CD/DVD drive.

    1. in the Autorun dialog box that appears, click Import pictures and videos using Windows.

    2. to change the parameters that are used when importing pictures and videos, click Import settings in the import pictures and videos dialog box.

    3. change one or more settings in the import settings dialog box and then click OK.

    4. click OK to restart import pictures and videos. Type a label in the box tag these pictures (optional) and then click Import to import your pictures and videos using the new settings.

If you import pictures in the photo gallery, you can also access the settings by following the steps below:

    1. click the file menu and then click Options.

    2. click on the tab to import, and then in the parameters list, select the device that you want to create import settings for.

    3. you can select the following settings for all import devices:

In the import list, select the root folder where you want to save photos or videos imported from this kind of device. To select a folder that is not in the list, click Browse.

    4. in the name of the folder list, select a format for the names of folders stored in imported photos and videos.

    5. in the file name list, select a format for the file names of the photos and videos imported by photo gallery.

    6. to open the photo gallery after you import photos or videos, select the open Windows Live Photo Gallery after importing files check box.

  • How to add Contacts to a shared list/Contact Group of Data Import

    Hello

Is it possible to add contacts imported using an Import of data to a specific shared list or the contact group? I see that I can do that when I download contacts from Contacts-> download of Contacts, but I don't see a way to do this with a Data Import.

    Thanks for any help,

    Jeremy DeVoss

Autosynchs in E10 only supports synchronization from a CRM system, or some other very specific sources such as Omniture Remarketing segments. FTP (or SFTP) autosynchs unfortunately is possible to create. Creation of an Autosynch done now under Setup - integration, Inbound, Data Sources - create a new Data Source with the external call. This wizard, as long as your data source is a CRM system, you will create an autosynch at the end.

However, for your specific use case, this unfortunately will not work. However, to do this, here's what I recommend:

    (1) put in place as usual, importing data

    (2) on the imported file, create a new field in the field with a specific value, something like Source of lead and make the specific value you can filter that these contacts (thus, for example, lead Source = import SFTP).

    (3) create a shared filter to find contacts with your specific value (in this example, the importation of SFTP)

    (4) your filter shared as a charger for a generator program to program to use.

    (5) in this program, click the add to no program of Contact Group to add them to your shared list.

Its a bit of a work-around, but the only way I think it would be possible at the moment.

  • CF 9 Import Wizard failed

The error is.Monitoring and Server API is not available in this edition of ColdFusion server. "I can't CF9 admin now unless he's trying to run the Import Wizard, who failed with the message above.  How can I disable the Import Wizard so that I can continue?

I came across the same error, try to install CF9 Standard upgrade on a computer that running CF8 Standard.  While I was able to get the Setup Wizard to get out and give me the administrator, like you, none of my sources of data or other parameters were reported.  However, I was able to get everything manually imported. • Date and time of file Excel data import

I'm running into problems of import of dates-hours format 15/03/2010 21:30 using SQL Developer. In step 1 of the import data wizard, the data preview window displays all fields date dates Excel (for example, 40252.89583 instead of 15/03/2010-21:30). I can SQL Developer to recognize the data in the format of date and time, rather than convert them to decimal values?

When you import from Excel, I have not found a date format model that would transform their decimal number into a date Oracle. But the following seems to work well:

    1. save the Excel page in a CSV file, and then in the import wizard SD, you can enter the date format for this column model.

    2. in Excel convert this column of text. (Highlight your date column, choose the menu item 'Data', 'Data tools' group choose the 'Text to columns' tool, click next / next / then click on the 'Text' button, click on 'Finish' and save your xls) Now in the import of SD Wizard simply enter the date format model that corresponds to the column of 'text' Excel with your dates.

Anyway seems to work for me.

  • Metadata import wizard does not remove the repository table columns

    Hello everyone!

We are facing the following problem with an object imported in OWB:

I have successfully imported an OWB table. I see in 'Data object editor' of the OWB the repository object is identical to the physical object.

If I remove a column in the table physical db and re - import the table in OWB, OWB "Metadata import wizard" understands that a column is removed and in "import results" shows this column as "canned goods". "" However, in of OWB ' data object editor of "column is not deleted! Is there a step we miss them?

    Thanks in advance!

    PS: we use OWB 10 g 2

    Yes, you missed a step

    When you import on
Step 3 of 3 synthesis and import
Click on the Advance import OPtion
    Select the option preserve everything.
