  Hi all
  
  I am facing a problem in the display of the selected date of the guest in the report using the variable of presentation. I have a guest of data (calendar prompt), where the user selects the value. I take this value in the variable RBAP of presentation and report when I try to display this value using the same presentation variable, I get my date in the following format
  
  "TIMESTAMP 2010-10-22 00:00:00 '.
  
  I'm just using ' @{RBAP}' in the formula in the column.
  
  I want to show my date in the format DD/MM/YYYY. How to do this?
  
  I have used CAST (' @{RBAP} {' as DATE} and tried to change the data to dd/mm/yyyy format, but it does not work.)

  I try by default a variable to bind a SQL query by default Date VO. I used adf.currentDate in the default Expression of the bind Variable.
  
  the expression returns the value in the format 'YYYY-MM-dd', but the format required for the binding variable is "MM/dd/YYYY".
  
  
  I can have any groovy expression that allows to change the format or should I have to do this programmatically?
  
  Please help me with an idea / code snippet.

  What type is your variable binding (it seems to be a String/varchar) - If you do date comparison in the database, you must use date comparisons. Assuming you are trying to compare a column in the database, you can use something like:

  where your_date_column = to_date(:bind_var, 'YYYY-MM-DD')
  

  If you really need to get a string in the format MM/DD/YYYY, you could:

  to_char(to_date(:bind_var, 'YYYY-MM-DD'), 'MM/DD/YYYY')

• Date format changes when you put an Excel file in Indesign

  I have an Excel sheet with the date format DD-MM-YYYY.

  I need to put this Excel file in Indesign - and the link, so I can update the Excel sheet and put it auto updated in Indesign.

  So I put my file management preferences to "create links when placing text years Spreadsheeet Files", go to file > Place and choose my Excel sheet. In the import option, I don't see any option to keep the date format. But when I look at the table in Indesign changed the date format DD/MM/YYYY.

  The same thing happens if I chose 'To format table' or 'Unofrmatted'. That if I copy and paste the table actually the show dates above right. But it's not a solution for me, since I need the linked Excel file!

  So, do I did wrong? Is there some settings in Indesign to preserve the format of Excel date instead of change?

  I use the Mac version and I get different results with the 2011 and older versions. I tested the top down and the values are different. On windows, MS Office is better, so I often work on Mac, but change to Windows, then save again with a new file name, and use it. But not everyone has this opportunity.

  With Excel on Mac is a huge problem that. and exchanged everwhere in its German version. It's ok in numbers, as German and English exchanged. and,

  But with the files exported as CSV, it becomes a huge problem, because Excel separates files CSV Comma, but pointed, and no other application (and neither itsself Excel) will read these files correctly. Excel on Mac is so good for the calculation, but if you go information in another application it is a mess.

  You are dynamic sql statements; Why you convert a date into a date? This is a BAD, BAD, BAD idea! You are forcing an implicit conversion to a string, and then back to a date, and it depends on what are your nls parameters. This is a bug that just waiting to happen!

  Maybe you are after this instead:

  But why you do this instead of a straight line:

  The date format is month/date/year. This format is for the start date and end date for extended Support.
  In your example, the start date is May 31, 2001, and the end date would be July 12, 2001.

  You should not initialize by using an inot block, when you apply a prompt value by clicking the Go/apply button, variable presentation will get initialized using the prompt value.

  I'm not 100% sure that you can add to the scope of the form like that in all versions of the CF.

  If not, you can work with a thrid variable that you incorperate both form and url variables in.  It is a common technique in the fuse box, I think.

• Start date of change for the employee

  I have an employee whose departure date was entered incorrectly. The system will not start date change which indicates that allocation changes exist between the old and the new dates.

  This is what the data looks like:

  Employee has been shown as hired August 1, 2014.

  An assignment was made for 1 - August to August 2, 2014.

  A second tour there on 3 August 2014 and the end date is 31-Dec-4712

  The start date must be changed in August 16, 2014.

  Two assignments seem to be a data entry error.

  Is there a way to accomplish this change? Since the two assignments are in error, there is not need to exist.

  Any help is appreciated.
  

  Datetrack on August 1, 2014 and go to the screen for the assignment. Use the remove menu icon and a popup asking if you want to delete all future changes...

  Once you remove the future recordings, you will have a unique assignment record.

  Navigate to the file and replace the most recent start date August 16, 2014.

  I use a variable presentation in the guest of my dashboard and going to the filter in the report. The report will give me no result even when it meets the criteria. I have to purge the cache and then it will display the results. I do 20 - 30 times a day and I don't know what the problem is. Can someone guide me what needs to be done to solve this problem.

  Yes like angelique suggests trying to create the same report in another page with variable presentation online. I do not have that we might have this problem with cahce. Even try to make protected filter (click the filter option, you can see it).

  I have a MySQL (5.19 I think) that has a date field. A date in the database type is
  similar to this format: 2007-12-25 00:00:00. I would like to dynamically fill a
  (in PHP) Web page with a table that has a date column. The format I want
