How can I get the date of the Sunday of the current week through sql code?

    Hello.

    Anyone know how to change a query to display only those records that have dates of the current week? Records have a start date and an end date, so the query should recognize that the entry may be valid for more than one week?

    Kind regards

    Hi Steve,.

    I just created a dataset that contained the periods before, during and after the current week - on the assumption that if any day of a range (start/end) falls within the current week so it is included.

    In my example this is 'today', June 25, 2011, and a week is defined as Sun - Sat. So my week of 'course' is u 19 June 2011 / I June 25, 2011.

    A line any with a start date before or during my 'current' week and an end date that is after or during my "current" week, i.e. no matter what date in its range included in the 'in progress' week will appear.

  • Return of records only for the current month

    Hello

    I have a query that returns records for the current week and I want to extend it for return records for the current month.

    When TRUNC (start_date) < NEXT_DAY (TRUNC (CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) - 1, "Sat") + 1
    AND TRUNC (end_date) > NEXT_DAY (TRUNC (CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) - 1, 'Sam')-7

    I have two date fields, the first is called 'Start_Date', the second is called 'End_Date '. I want the query to return all the records for the current month including those who may start before or end post the month as events can start in a month and end with another. Does anyone know how this is done in a "Clause where?

    Kind regards

    Steve Welch

    You probably want to

    where TRUNC (START_DATE) <= LAST_DAY(TRUNC(sysdate, 'MONTH'))
    AND TRUNC (END_DATE) >= TRUNC(sysdate, 'MONTH')

  • Return of the records for the current month, previous and next

    When you filter the results of the report by using the following database returns records for the current week:

    WHERE 'SS_LEAVE '. "" LEAVE_TYPE "="SS_LEAVE_TYPE. " "" IDENTITY CARD ".

    AND)
    InStr (superior ("EMPLOYEE"), upper (nvl (: P2001_SEARCH, 'EMPLOYEE'))) > 0 or
    InStr (upper ("SUPERVISOR"), upper (nvl (: P2001_SEARCH, 'SUPERVISOR'))) > 0

    AND TRUNC (end_date) < NEXT_DAY (TRUNC (CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) - 1, 'Sam') + 1
    AND TRUNC (end_date) > NEXT_DAY (TRUNC (CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) - 1, "Sat")-7

    My question is this time is:

    How to make a filter for the current month, the 'previous month', and 'next month '?

    Steve,

    Current month:

    and trunc(end_date) >= trunc(current_timestamp,'MM') and trunc(end_date) < add_months(trunc(current_timestamp,'MM'),1)

    Previous month:

    and trunc(end_date) >= add_months(trunc(current_timestamp,'MM'),-1) and trunc(end_date) < trunc(current_timestamp,'MM')

    Next month:

    and trunc(end_date) >= add_months(trunc(current_timestamp,'MM'),1) and trunc(end_date) < add_months(trunc(current_timestamp,'MM'),2)

    I have a select query and when I run this query, that query is display data for all YEAR_WEEK of PROD_BACKLOG table. The YEAR_WEEK column in the PROD_BACKLOG table data in this format 2030-WK41.

                  ITEM_NUMBER,
                  BACKLOG_QUANTITY,

    I would like to add a clause in this query should it search only for data for the next few weeks more 20.

    Thanks in adavnce

    Concerning

    Hello

    I think that you have given for more than a year, which is why queries of does not return the same number of lines:
    -For your TO_CHAR, you keep only the week number and don't care of the week, which means that the 29th week of 2011 is the same as the 29th week of 2012
    -With the TRUNK, you compare the first days of the week, which include information on the year

    Here is an example: you'll see Date1 is the same for 2 dates, but Date2 shows different results and take care of the year:

    with t as (
    select to_date ('20/07/2011','DD/MM/YY') MSD from dual union all
    select to_date ('20/07/2012','DD/MM/YY') MSD from dual
    ) select to_char(MSD, 'IW') date1, trunc (MSD, 'IW') date2 from t;

    DATE1      DATE2
    ---------- ---------
    29         18-JUL-11
    29         16-JUL-12

    You must choose the trunc.

    Using< or=""><= in="" this="" part="" of="" the="" where="">

    and trunc(MSD, 'IW')<=trunc(sysdate+140, 'IW');

    won't change of data greater than the week or not, but will include or not data for the 20th week.

    Hope that is more clear.

    Kind regards
    Sylvie

    SID NUMBER (10, 0),
    SECURITYLEVEL VARCHAR2 (100 BYTE),

    He has field PRODUCTIONWEEK that is to be given YYYYMMDD.

    I want to select records that are starting the week underway (Monday as departure day).

    for example, the date is 20120210 so I would choose the lines including the date more or equal to 20120206.

    Can someone guide me how it is possible?

    MaheshGx wrote:
    Select * from OMPPRODUCTION where to_number (to_char (to_date (productionweek, 'yyyymmdd'), 'WW')) > = to_number (to_char (sysdate, "WW"))

    Wow, why so complicated?

    You work with dates, so:

    (a) why the hell you store dates in a column VARCHAR2? (and worse yet, why is 200 bytes of length)? Store dates as the DATE. The optimizer based on CSSTidy will thank you. As well, you know, you won't be wasting space.
    (b) compare with the dates, not dates-converted dates - dates-converted-to-number numbers. Why do extra work when you have not to?

    Since you're after weeks from Monday, I'd go for the format mask "IW", since it is fixed and will always return the Monday of the current week ("WW" could return Sunday or Monday, depending on what are your NLS settings.) I'd rather have my labour code for those who executes it, regardless of their NLS settings).

    So, given the fact that your column is not the DATE data type, it would be more effective for you;

    select *
    from   ompproduction
    where  trunc(to_date(productionweek,'yyyymmdd'), 'iw') >= trunc(sysdate, 'iw');

    If you have an index on productionweek that you need help in this query, then I suggest to convert it to a basic index function.

    Hi all

    I have a table called BACK, which structure is like this
    ITEM_NUMBER   YEAR_WEEK   MS
    ...........   .........   ..
    1N58          2012-WK02   01/15/2012
    1N58          2011-WK02   01/15/2011
    current my procedure I store the value in my new table that is less than the current week. But I want to retain the value less than the current week and the current year. Please, help me to get how I can do this.

    Currently, with the above code is to store the value in my table of BACKLOG_LT_CW but if you see the data in the table from the BACK you will find YEAR_WEEk 2012-WK02 falls next year, but again it is store in my table because IW took only. Please help me get the soln

    Any ideas?

    Hi Steve,.
    No doubt there is a way more elegant to do, but based on my previous post example...

    SELECT TO_CHAR (begin_date, 'DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') AS begin_date,
    TO_CHAR (end_date, 'DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') AS end_date,

  • Column filtering for the current year measure

    Hello

    I'm blocked up with the question, we have a report of three tables D1, D2, and F1. Where D1 is of time dimension. We now report D2 and F1 with action, and the report is placed on the dashboard which is having the guest of the year.

    F1 is joined with dimension D2 and D1 time as well, the requirement is in the report we measure column say X should always show the values for the current year, while others displayed according to the prompt values... In short, I want to show the column to measure for the current year, even if the user selects the value of prompt for year earlier and it must not change the values.

    Please let me know, how to get there.

    Thanks in advance

    I am able to do this by following steps.

    1. I created a column in the MDB layer with similar to above said Srini case statement.
    2. Then I made the logic level of the time dimension column at ALL. So obiee ignores / filter join with the dimension of time to this measure, and the measure will always displays the data from the current year according to the case statement.
    3. If I did not this measure to all levels at the logical level, it's not working to the dashboard, when we change the year with the previous year it shows null values or zero according to the instruction box.

    Thank you.

  • The current week number

    How can I get the current week number?

    Try this
    Select to_char (sysdate, 'IW') AS 'WEEK OF the YEAR' twice

    For the last week or three Firefox updates two or three times for each update. Sometimes it refreshes without obvious reason. For example, I'll be in the middle of typing in the message forum block & it refreshes. Or by filling out an online form. Or simply viewing a page.

    You can check for problems caused by an extension that is not working properly.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
