DDM (Dell Display Manager) will not update?

A message to update the display for my u2413 monitor Dell Manager.  During the installation process I get an error message that says essentially that an error has occurred then to replace the existing file; code 5.  I'm in the administrator account, win7/64 machine.  Made a new attempt, no change.  I guess the update has been applied to my old monitor of 6 months, someone knows what could be the problem?

DDM pushes updates itself as soon as they are available, while it's understandable may take time for the latest version to be promogulated overall of the Dell websites.  By default, THAT MDD will automatically check a new version a twice a week, but if you hold the SHIFT key while clicking the MDD system tray icon, you can select "Check for a new version" in the context menu.

    Remove the DDM via configuration-programs and features Control Panel. Install the version, 1244. Restart the computer when it is done. If DDM asks you to "update", cannot it. Test adding a program to the automode.

    If you are referring to downloaded installation programs, such as ddmsetup1360.exe and ddmsetup1470.exe, then Yes you can safely remove them.

    If you ask about older versions of the DDM you have installed, and then - as writes Chris - you shouldn't it because the new version replaces the old version while keeping your configuration and preferences.

    I have a Dell U3415W monitor and when I select this monitor on the Dell site and navigate through help for download drivers it offers me only to build 1450 (Windows 7 64-bit).  If I select 10 64 - bit of Windows then the registration for the DDM software disappears completely.  Very confusing see as the release notes for 1610 specifically list compatibility Windows 10.

    The latest version is always available here, and is currently b.1754. You can also get the latest version of the current version you are running by pressing the SHIFT key while right-clicking on the DDM and then system tray notification icon by selecting "check for new version... "in the context menu.

    If you go to the device in Device Manager (right click on 'Man Dev' in the control panel and run as Admin), then right click on the display device should be an option "update driver software". Or, if it is not there, click on properties - pilot and "update driver" from there. You can get an update from that time, but if not ask Dell.

    Driver ATI 8.452 - 080109 is available too.
