Debugging Flash Player 20.0.0.286 refuses to install on Windows 8.1

I have tried everything I can think, but whenever I try to install the debugging 20.0.0.286 player, it installs 19.0.0.207 for IE instead. Any thoughts? I am happy to provide the details requested.

Hello

While we host a link so that the debugger Windows 8.x on the page https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html the Setup file itself comes from Microsoft and Microsoft has not yet updated the content debug version yet. 19.0.0.207 is currently the most recent version available to ensure that the content debugger.

While we have provided songs for this build to Microsoft, we have no control over their distribution pipeline.  Because this version is not a security patch, Microsoft refused to deliver this correction for Windows 10 users.  This hotfix will be available as part of the next should regularly for Windows 10 version, which usually aligns with Microsoft's Patch Tuesday in February.

You have probably installed a 64 bit version of Flash for Firefox plugin.

Firefox is a 332-bit application, so you need 32-bit versions of a plugin to make it work.

You can find the 32-bit version of the Flash Player installer for a 32-bit version of Firefox here (scroll down to Flash Player (32-bit)):

    Hey Papi Williams,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum.

From the description of the problem, it seems that you are unable to download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player on your computer. I understand the inconvenience.

    1. What version of Adobe flash player you have downloaded?
    2. What Web browser are you using to view the website?
    3. Which site did you download Adobe Flash Player?

Let us try the following steps and check if it helps to solve the problem.

  • Debugging flash player crashing

I use the latest version of the flash player debug (11.1.102.55) on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.

I find that the plugin will crash on some pages in IE9. An example is: http://blog.polarion.com/archives/1728

The page will always crash in IE9. However, if I uninstall the drive and install the version without debugging, then it goes not down. Use firefox with the debug player, I see a "the Adobe flash plugin broke down. No report is available"image to place the swf file. I've disabled all addons and left only the player of debugging enabled in IE9, but I always get these accidents.

I tried to disable hardware acceleration for the same result.

So far, I can confirm that this happens in version 9.0.1 Firefox and IE 9.

    Any ideas?

    Solved.

It turns out that the addon firebug flashbug is the cause of the problem.

The addon created a mm.cfg file to configure the debugging player that affects all browsers.

    It uses a preload swf:

    PreloadSwf=C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ekizin8e.default\extensi ons\[email protected]\chrome\content\flashbug\profiler.swf

This profiler.swf is probably buggy this is why some certain funds sovereigns crash.

Mm.cfg of name change or remove the problem, however, now I'm looking for an another flash for firebug debugger

  • Why Flash Player began to harass with authorization request pop-up windows?

During the last week, every time the video appears on a site, Adobe Flash Player has a settings popup appear. Why is this suddenly happening? There has never been a problem before.

  • "The version of Adobe® Flash® Player ActiveX that you are trying to install is not the most recent"

Hello and thanks for your help.

I also have the problem of the error message shown above.

I checked IE 8 (Windows XP), I am the administrator and connect only to identity card), is running 32-bit, downloaded & ran the uninstaller Adobe, rebooted, reinstalled from the Adobe site, rebooted and have made this several times without success. Emptying the cache, stopped Norton EAST & Firewall (for installation), Internet options are set on medium, active x, java is active, and here is the screenshot of what is in my C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash (if all goes well it shows here)

I read the thread on the Flash display in Firefox... so I downloaded Firefox and seen the Tube U tutorials in this browser very well. Does not work in my IE8. (I also went to: IE/tools/manage add-ons (all add-ons), but the shock wave is not listed there) (see hidden files is enabled)

In Add/Remove Programs: Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin (Version 10.0.45.2) is listed with Adobe Shockwave Player 11.5 (Version 11.5.7.609)

I wonder if it is in conflict with Adobe Web Premium CS5 trial I downloaded to try Dreamweaver. I see it has Adobe Flash Professional CS5 & several other Flash programs that it contains or is this the same problem that everyone else seems to have?

    Thank you

    Kat897

You're right: CS5 install Flash Player 10.1 beta.  You can't install an older version of Flash Player completely uninstall the beta version first:
