decryption problem

Hello

I'm the State of Pondicherry, karaikal Hind

I have a problem in the decryption of a file when I do, it displays the error that the error in the application of attributes. If I try to move the file then it says: access denied. I tried all the methods in the internet, but the problem is still unfixed.these files are encrypted

the details are

the only similarity is the do not get decrypted

Give me a solution soon pls...

Hi Hind,

Thanks for reaching out. We can certainly help.

The error message you get usually occurs if the permissions on the System Volume Information folder are modified so that the system can not write files. As a result, it limits you to be able to decrypt a file.

To resolve this problem, please follow the steps below:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
  2. Under the view tab, clear the Hide protected operating system files check box. Then try to decrypt the file this time.

    Hello

from what I understand, when you use a DOCTORATE, the content encryption key is built from the common-key and ID of content (which, in a PHD, seems to be the name of the file).

When to go look for the manifest file (< file > .f4m), a new license is returned each time.

During the extraction of the current file (< file > SegX-FragY) segments, no 'session' or similar information is sent. However, the file that results is never the same between downloads.

Even if the files are different between extractions, it seems that if I hide segments, serving the same identical segmentes to different users, different license without their decryption problem.

Is this something that I can rely on? That is to say, I let the obvious requests through each time, so each customer gets a their own license. As long as the common-key remains the same, is it safe to cache segment files, so this allows us to use regular HTTP puts cache before the FMIS server to scale?

The diffs in the segment files, why is this? What is the result of different IVs?

In addition, the development of FMIS Server version has no limitation as to the number of connections or otherwise? Features of RTMP protocol has 10 rule max connections if I recall correct, but the same does not seem to apply for HDS/PhD students. I just want to check if this is the case, or if something in our tests broke.

    Thank you

Yes, common-key (file) and Content ID (any unique string that represents your content) is used to generate the final encryption key.

During extraction of file f4m, a drm that Meta is generated that includes the license (so the client (AIR app/Flash app) need not not to communicate with the license server). DRM is incorporated into the F4m or served separately. It is unique by the content.

Real content file is encrypted with the encryption key and is therefore likely. Meta-data DRM has all the information on the type of customer, this is acceptable and time-validity of license integrated as imposed by the policy file on the server.

What is EFS (ENCRYPTING File System)?

EFS (ENCRYPTING File System) is a Windows feature that allows you to store information on your hard disk in an encrypted format. Encryption is the best protection that Windows provides to help you keep your information secure.

Some key features of the EFS:

    • Encryption is simple; Just select a check box in the file or the folder properties to turn it on.

    • You can control who can read the files.

    • Files are encrypted when you close them, but are automatically ready to use when you open them.

    • If you change your idea of having an encrypted file, clear the check box in the properties of the file.

EFS don't is not fully supported on Windows Vista Starter, Windows Vista Home Basic Edition and Windows Vista Home Premium. For those editions of Windows, if you have the encryption key or certificate, you can proceed as follows:

    • Decrypt files by running Cipher.exe in the window prompt (advanced users)

    • Modify an encrypted file

    • Copy an encrypted file as decrypted on a hard disk on your computer

    • Import the key and EFS certificates

    • Back up EFS certificates and keys by running Cipher.exe in the window prompt (advanced users)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-encryption

Encryption is a way to enhance the security of a message or file by scrambling the contents so that it can be read only by someone who has the appropriate encryption key to decrypt it. For example, if you buy something on the Internet, the transaction information (for example, your address, telephone number, and credit card number) is usually encrypted to keep them safe. Use encryption when you want a high level of protection for your information.

  • Problem with VPN. Router is not encrypted but decrypts

Hello, I have a problem in my IPSec tunnel. One of the routers (Cisco 861) is not encrypt the packets but decrypts those incoming from the remote peer (RV042). In the access list for the wan interface I deny traffic between subnets and vpn access list, I authorize the traffic. Could someone give me a help or advice. Thank you.

    Hello

The problem is with the list of access-102.  This is your NAT access list.  You see that you allow the 172.16.2.0 at all until you deny, so all traffic is reflected on your public IP address before you try to go through the VPN.  You always want to DENY traffic before making any permit in an access list because they treat up and down on the first game.

    Try the following commands:

no nat ip inside the source list 102 interface FastEthernet4 overload

    no access list 102

    access-list 102 deny ip 172.26.2.0 0.0.0.255 172.26.3.0 0.0.0.255

    access-list 102 permit ip 172.26.2.0 0.0.0.255 any

    Hello Rahul,

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

As you mentioned that you get "Access denied" error message while opening/decryption of the reader. I suggest you turn off TMP (Trusted Platform Module) in the BIOS and check if it helps.

Warning: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Note: consult the manual/instruction guide came with the computer or contact the manufacturer of your computer to disable TMP (Trusted Platform Module).

    What is a TPM module?

A TPM is a microchip designed to provide basic functions related to security, primarily including cryptographic keys. The TPM is usually installed on the card mother of a desktop computer or laptop and communicates with the rest of the system using a hardware bus.

  • Problem with the part decryption dbms_crypto

    Hi all

I have a requirement for encryption, decryption of password... with a special key.

So first of all a key is passed to a function MAIN_KEY that is encrypted and the encrypted key will be passed to the function of encryption where the password will be encrypted with the special key.

next part of decryption, decryption function has to decrypt the supplied password, using the special key given earlier, but the code does not work as expected.

Special key encryption and normal encryption works well.

But the decryption function does not work.

Can someone help me solve the problem?

    Code below:

  • Able to decrypt the passwords to oracle, a security problem?

    Hello
Before all sorry if this is a silly question. I'm still fairly new to Oracle...

My company is using Toad for Oracle to access our database, now I found a thread on the internet saying there is a tool that allows to decrypt the passwords to oracle.
How can we prevent someone from our database passwords decryption?

    Thread of the example: http://toadfororacle.com/thread.jspa?threadID=36841

    Is it a security issue?

    Thank you
    Dere

    Published by: user6032647 on 05/04/2012 22:12

The way I read it is that TOAD stores Oracle connection details in an .ini file, and this file can be decrypted.

Oracle does not store the encrypted passwords, it stores the hashed passwords that cannot be decrypted. If the hashes are exposed they can be brute-force, so the complex passwords are essential.

It is a problem of TOAD. Connection passwords should not be saved (I guess that TOAD a standard Windows "save my password checkbox", it were not used for years). If it is used as a mechanism to hide the users of TOAD database connection details, then serious consideration of safety is required.

  • problem with a type of data encryption / decryption

    Hello

I'm developing an application in which c ++ app will send encrypted table bytes unsigned using JNI for Java application that will decrypt the same and make the continuation of the procedure.

As the unsigned c++ byte array is using before sending it to java he converts an array of jshort we do not want to lose the original array element values. So on the side of java, we will get the encrypted short table, to decipher the same I need the same converted to array of bytes as Cipher.dofinal (byte []) method accepts the byte array and I'll have short table. If I have the same assigned in byte array, then I will lose the original values of the short table. How can I solve the problem? How can I receive the array of encrypted bytes unsigned of C++ and decrypt the same in java?

    Published by: user3516155 on March 23, 2011 12:41 AM

Question: have you tried simply to pass the array of bytes without any conversion of short?

A signed and unsigned bytes are on the data level 100% equal to the other. the difference in interpretation.

  • Primetime content decryption module do not install

I have recently 'refreshed firefox' and now the Primetime content decryption Module is not installed. I never had this problem before and I refreshed firefox several times, but the Plugin is still installed. He repeats to me "Module of Primetime content decryption provided by Adobe Systems, Incorporated will settle soon."

Please reply and thanks for the help.

  • Video playback stopped working in Firefox until I DISABLED the plugin of primetime content decryption module

From one day to the next video (youtube, Vimeo, etc) stopped not working in Firefox. I checked my plugins/addons and discovered the plugin Adobe "primetime content decryption module" which I had not noticed previously had been installed. I've disabled the plugin and found that the video playback was still functional.

I realize the Primetime plugin is intended to facilitate playback of certain content (DRM), which would not otherwise play with Silverlight/Flash plugins, but unless that I turn it off it's actually prevents me from normal video content playback.

As this is a Firefox/Adobe plugin suggested I prefer it to work as expected rather than disable/remove it.

A quick update to my problem noted above (maybe I should try this first)

I ACTIVATED the plugin once more see if it would cause video playback yet, but everything seems to be ok now (IE, Primetime plugin is activated and all videos play normally)

Will report if the problem arises again

  • "password incorrect provided to decrypt the private key"

The keys that I generate on my Mac are unusable. Still, I get "incorrect password provided to decrypt the private key". In this case, whether or not I generate with a password.

This is the process I use:

    ssh-keygen - t rsa-n mypassphrase f my_id

Generate the key pair public/private rsa.

Your identification has been saved in my_id.

Your public key has been saved in my_id.pub.

The fingerprint of the key is: etc etc

    Then to check:

    ssh-keygen - y f my_id.pub

    Enter the password: mypassphrase

Loading key 'my_id.pub': incorrect password supplied to decrypt the private key

Anyone have an idea what is wrong? Thank you.

Turns out I had wrong instructions to the admin of the server I tried to connect to. He wanted me to use the .pub file when connecting via ssh. So what I tried to solve the problems. But that is never going to work, because the password is used to decrypt the private key, not the public key. So when I change my test to "ssh-keygen - y f my_id ' it works fine. Should have tried first. DOH.

  • iBooks/iCloud problem: all the books transformed into "encrypted files".

I recently downloaded all my iBook (files PDF and epub files) on the iCloud / iDrive with the iBook on my iPad app. Many worked for awhile, but when I tried to use iBooks after a few weeks of inactivity, none of my downloaded iBooks were visible in iBooks. I looked in the iDrive and there is a section of iBooks, that seems to have all my old iBook (15 GB) files, but each file appears as "Encrypted File". I have no idea on how to decrypt these files so that I can use them again.

The iBooks interface displays only the empty shelves.

I don't know what triggered this loss of all my books. Anyone have an idea how I could recover my books?

Overall, I must say that I am very disappointed with the whole iCloud / iDrive system. It took an eternity to download files, the data transfer is extremely slow and I'm not even able to download iBooks from my PC to the iCloud. I have much better experiences with Google Drive or Dropbox, which operate in a transparent way through everything, platform. I guess that the iCloud / iDrive works only in an all-Apple configuration

I have the same problem too, all my files epub in the ibooks app disappeared after I have sync my iphone on icloud drive and when I checked the ibooks on my icloud storage it appears as "encrypted file.

    Help, please!
