  I'm using a CSV file.  Some of the data in a cell is separated by commas, it also seems to me to be picking up a few "extra points.  Any help is appreciated.

  If you have any control over it, the first thing I would do it is set so that anyone who enters the information that contains commas, use a replace() to change the comma with its ASCII equivalent, so it won't throw the CSV file in all its States.

  With respect to the double quote, can you use replace() to remove output?  Or the data, itself, must change before it can be used for something else?

  Something like:

  PS. personally, if I can avoid using CSVs for nothing, I don't (comma-separated and delimited by tabs).  You can request the data in a different format?

• Building of RoboHelp corrupt files CPD?

  My colleague and I are trying to Visual SourceSafe upward and running on his machine with RoboHelp, so that we can both work in the same project. We have it works fine on my machine (I built the project using source control database on my machine). We got the files down to his machine, but when we open the help project, we get an error indicating that the PCD file is corrupt and we should remove and reopen the XPJ. We did it and we got the message again, but when we looked at the directory to delete, we found that RoboHelp has not even rebuild the file. The error occurred before the file can be generated.
  
  It seems that the CPD file does not reside on the database of the source control. In other words, I have a descriptive file of Programme of work on my machine, but it will be not checked in the source control database. When we got his records first and opened in HR, its HR tried to create a file of DPC and wasn't able to do that successfully, then we got the error.
  
  Here is my solution and another question: I copied my machine program descriptive file and emailed to her and we have been able to open the help project and HR with success comes from subjects vs. However, I wonder if there is something wrong with his RoboHelp? It seems to me that his RoboHelp is not able to build the PFC files correctly. If this is the case, can we expect other problems (perhaps he will not be able to update the file correctly either)? Should I uninstall RH on his computer and reinstall? If there is something wrong with HR on his machine, I fear that we will keep problems after she begins to make changes to topics.

  Rename/Delete/archive the CPD and XPJ, files and then double-click the HHP file. HR will recreate fresh versions of these two files. This method allows also to when the CPD file was just huge, not necessarily corrupt.

• RoboHelp HTML crashes after emptying a project

  Hello
  
  I use Framemaker to do most of my creation and then import the files into RoboHelp HTML to generate HTML Help. As the first step of importing the files, I have to delete all the topics, table of contents entries and entries IX of the RoboHelp project. If I do this, I find myself with duplicates everywhere in the project.
  
  After the project I have empty and try to save it, HR goes belly up and I have to click through two sets of dialog boxes "Adobe Robohelp 7 has encountered a problem and needs to close." After you click 'Send error report' a dozen times, I wonder if there is anything I can do about this problem.

  Hi all

  John, I couldn't help but notice that you said you are trying to delete ALL the content of the project. And here's where my instincts tell me the lies of the question.

  My thought is that you could take the following approach. Create a unique topic. One that will never exist in Framemaker. Only in RoboHelp. Then forget about this topic. Don't delete ever or something. Then, when you do your own out, I would take this approach.

  Clear the table of contents and Index. Does not matter the order in which you use. These first hunting just as you shoot. I say FLUSH these, because they depend on the content in the topics.
  Rinse the subjects. Hey, all, but the only subject which should remain.

  Here, my thought is that if you remove the entire system's RoboHelp goes belly up with no subject. And if you deleted the items first, RoboHelp can be gobs of updates gagging as she foolishly tries to follow all the sudden broken links to table of contents and Index items. That is why I proposed these as a first step.

  While I creates a store of DATA (TABLE) in the studio of the ODI, I have created a table name with quotes Double for the table as example 'TABLE_NAME'.

  Is there a method to get rid of this. ?
  At the studio of ODI, it does not show the name of the table with the quotes, but when I'm trying to see a TOAD, I get the quotes.

  Can someone help me on this. ?

  Hi Shakur,

  Go to the topology-> Oracle technology-> language (tab)-> delete quotes under object delimiter, and advance to the next field to ensure that the change is made, then save.

  I use RoboHelp x 5 and working on a project to Webhelp.
  
  Is there a way to remove the ' help' link / image in any of my skin? I am referring to the link that is on a "powered by RoboHelp" image by default, or can be replaced by another image... I tried deleting off that the About option in my file LNG, but that doesn't seem to work.

• logo missing on output

  I use robohelp 4.1 and have recently updated my skin customized with a new logo which is not greater than 97 x 52 (the logo is used to replace the button "Powered by RoboHelp", by Rick Stone " Skinny on Skins").
  
  logo is included in the directory of the skin as well as in the case of luggage (for good measure), and I see very well on my desktop with the webhelp generated. the problem is that when I move the newly generated on our server, webhelp files that the image does not appear on the toolbar of the help area; It seems that he is absent.
  
  I went into the code of the whskin_tbars.htm and verified that the file is referenced and to the correct location of the webhelp output. I even tried a right-click on the toolbar area and selecting "View image" (in IE 6.02), but it will not always be displayed.

  Is it possible for you to share a URL? Or is it on a corporate intranet? If it's on a corporate intranet, are you certain that you don't have some servers in the mix? With staging servers, you post the files and they are filled in later by program to the production servers. Sometimes, this process takes longer than expected to see the results.

• How can I recover the CPD file corrupted

  Work on Robohelp 6.0 - I deleted a topic and RoboHelp went down - indicating that the PCD file is corrupt - to remove the CPD file.
  
  I copied the file to a different location run robohelp but any changes I made (month) can't be - instead it brings back me to the original file (the one that needs to be changed)
  
  I need to recover the corrupted file PCD b/c this file has all my work. I can't delete it – b/c it contains my changes.

  Opening a corrupted HTML help project
  Question

  Your project file is corrupted and cannot be opened.
  Solution

  Instructions of RoboHelp X 5:

  Follow the steps below to re-create the *. XPJ and *. File of DPC, which should solve the problem:

  1. close RoboHelp HTML.
  2. create a backup of your project folder and all of its contents before following the rest of the instructions below.
  3. open your project folder, Windows Explorer.
  4. find *. XPJ and the *. DPC files, which are located in the folder.
  5 remove the *. XPJ and the *. DPC files.
  6 find him *. HHP file (in the same folder as the files listed above).
  7. right click on the *. HHP file and choose the EDIT option. It should reopen the RoboHelp html project.
  8. Save and compile the project.

  Note: Avoid to move files out of RoboHelp and using characters other than A - Z, 0-9, or highlights in the names of your file names or folder.   3 find it. File of the metatarsophalangeal joint.
  4. change the file extension to. MPJ_OLD.
  5. find the. HHP file (in the same folder as the.) MPJ).
  6. right-click on it and choose the EDIT option. It should reopen the project in RoboHELP. If not, then you will need open RoboHelp HTML and navigate to the HHP file.
  7. Save and compile the project.

  CAUTION: Follow these steps to rebuild the. MPJ file will cause the. ALI file rebuild as well. The. ALI file is used for the implementation of context sensitive help and if this file is re-created, all the data it contains are deleted. Before you follow these steps, save your. File of ALI to a different location on your hard drive. Once you have rebuilt the. File of the metatarsophalangeal joint, copy the. ALI of the file in the project folder and overwrite the new version of this file.

  WARNING: By recreating your MPJ file you will lose any UNUSED bookmarks, heading state information and build Expressions in your project.

  Note: Avoid to move files out of RoboHelp and using characters other than A - Z, 0-9, or highlights in the names of your file names or folder.   You seem to have two choices?
   
  If you want to keep ALL your OLD messages on your e-mail server, and then open a session
  in to your mail provider web portal site and move messages to a folder
  you create?
   
  Or you can simply go to your e-mail account in Windows Mail and set it to
  delete messages from the server?
   
  Tools > accounts > select your account > properties button > advanced no more tab
  remove the check mark from 'save a copy of messages on the server', or set a
  reasonable number of days of retention of messages on the server.
   
  If you have difficulty deciding, or you don't know how to make my first

  I tried to understand this with the posts (and some info on the site of David, etc.), and I can't seem to understand the real problem.
  
  I'm working on a tutorial and I can't know if the error message is correct and this is an incorrect encoding inserted by DW (and if so, I can't understand what it takes to correct) or
  
  If there is a problem with DW8.0.2 like what will fix the fix that seems so hard to get, or
  
  If this goes in the direction of an example of why magic quotes must be turned off and if so, where and how can I turn off the correct code, and if not, how could it be properly corrected?

  think you have received it in the Dreamweaver Help files, which
  damage especially on this point. The show the runtime value
  expression as #formFieldName #, which isn't a ColdFusion, PHP model. You
  need to replace #txtSearch # with something like $_GET ['search'] or
  $_POST ['search'].

  What makes matters worse, is that the code inserted by 8.0.2 without the
  fix is also incorrect. Line 34 should be something like this:

  Line 37 is also wrong.

• Delete the quotes of a keyword

  Hi, need help on this...

  I am building a whole tree for my keywords and in some of them, I used them another word in the same keyword, separated by commas.

  for example: whales, whales

  The problem is when I do that, it creates a quotation mark and the other software does only 2 words and can't put it.

  Is there a way I can get rid of the quotes?

  There is a work around but requires a little more work.

  Insert key words as you do right now.

  Then, run a script on the selected documents to sort the keywords by removing the quotes.

• Impossible RoboHelp &amp; quot; See &amp; quot; numbering step style

  For some reason, my style of list numbered, called "Steps" has no formatting (no withdrawal and no vertical spacing) in HTML view. I tried to refine paragraph spacing in Word and I also tried to change the margin values and high dash of the page in the css file, but it does not work.
  
  I use RoboHelp X 5 and I used the formatting that I used successfully in a RoboHelp x 3 project last year. The year last step-numbering aligns perfectly in html; the x 5 looks like a breakfast of the dog. I also tried to use an external css file of the previous project when I generated WebHelp and no luck there either. RoboHelp can't 'see' my style 'Step '.
  
  Here are my settings in:
  Word - First indent = 0.41; Indent = 0; Space above = 4.0pt; Space = below 6 pt; tab = 0.63 (the number of step is manually inserted field codes and the tab is inserted manually too)
  CSS - top margin = 4; left margin = 11.35; bottom margin = 6, indent =-11.35.
  
  I did a test using Word numbering built-in and it has perfectly aligned. Then I tried to change the step of formatting to match the integrated numbering settings dashes and spacing, and it did not work. Re-formatting of the entire project to strip the stye Step out and use a numbering of Word would be too costly.
  
  Any suggestions?
  
  

  I have found a workaround that I write in case someone else has this problem.

  The problem seems to be that X 5 HR cannot 'see' the style of numbering step because field codes have been inserted to the numbering (I prefer to use the field for numbering codes because the numbering is more accurate). It wasn't a problem in X 3 but it's in X 5.

  To solve this problem, I convert text fields by selecting all (ctrl-a) and then by clicking Ctrl + Shift + F9.

  When I re-built, the numbering perfectly aligned and vertical spacing was restored.

  The downside is that from here on, the numbering should be manual.

  If anyone out there has a solution in which the field code numbers could be maintained, I'd like to see it.

  There was a workstation used for development/compilation of RoboHelp HTML and has no problem. A second work station was built with the same application/version (RoboHelp X5.0.2). After compling projects on this second workstation, when you open a .chm file and users perform a search using the "Search" tab it is has "not found topical." If the same project is respected on the original workstation, topics are available through the tab "search for" someone has an idea on what is causing this problem on the workstation newly built?

  This has been fixed by entering the itcc.dll and recompiling. Thanks for the help.
