  Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

  Note: files or images will be stored in the same C:\Windows\System32\PhotoScreensaver.scr file after the image is removed from the main location. This is the reason why the photos appear even after their removal. And once you navigate and new photos as your screensaver the old ones will be replaced automatically.

  Please make sure you have a backup of your photo album compilation. Not because of the Windows 8.1 upgrade, but for lack of material, viruses, etc.

  Recently, I deleted all my contacts on my droid x in order to refresh my facebook contact photos (I do this since we all know the phone doesn't seem to update the photos themselves, as it should).  After importing my contacts back on my phone and set up my facebook account, once again, I've linked contacts that does not automatically link and now everything seems good.

  Here's where I noticed the problem.  Now pictures of my contacts are not at all in my application of message text (SMS GO).  I checked the application of the default text and they appear in there, but not in GO SMS. So I tried to uninstall GO SMS, wiping the cache on the phone and reinstalling GO SMS, but the images still do not appear.  It just shows the default avatar next to the name.

  It's a very good theory.  To test this, you could install an application called SyncMyPix that queries your Facebook account to take photos and make them peak of gmail.  If your text app, then updates that your theory is right.  I hope this helps.

  I bought a new iMac and decided to give iCloud and Photos a good try. I have over 21 k images (from the Photos on my iMac).

  My iMac is my main computer so I put it where the original is uploaded on it. I also have a macbook pro and two iPhones.

  When I take pictures with my phone I see on my other phone, my macbook and of course in iCloud. I DO NOT see them on my iMac, however. I know it can take a while for that to synchronize everything but I think that if the images are available on a single computer I have at least saw from others, especially one which is configured to receive the originals.

  I tried to turn off/on iCloud and other suggestion that I read on the line. I don't know where to go from here. $10 / month, I would expect thing to work as advertised. If things don't work I'll just go back to Lightroom and Google Drive.

  What are your iCloud settings in the system prefeences, Photos and on every IOS device preferences? What is the status of the iCLoud on each device download?

  Most likely guess is that the photos are still being downloaded - downloads do not appear until the download is complete
