deleting data iMessage on macbook will also delete history on my iPhone?

I need to free up space on my disk storage on my macbook pro and I tried, (emptying the trash, cache, photos, history, etc.) except deletion of my data to iMessage with his pictures, videos, gifs (and I think that is what takes up the majority of the 'other' in my storage). Delete all the files "~Library/Messages/Attachments" also will remove them on my iPhone? I prefer to keep my story of CAT on my phone, but doesn't count delete on my computer. Thank you!

To only delete a device. Should not delete the history from other devices.

  • Deleting a user account will also remove installed applications?

I recently had to create a different account on my Macbook because the application does not not on the initial user account (long story but not important for this). Now that my new account is set up, I would like to delete the original account. I'm afraid that if I do it all the applications installed on the original account will also be deleted... or will they? Can anyone help with an answer to this please?

Applications must be installed in the application and not in any user account. You can check by opening the Application folder and verify that the applications are installed.

Remove a user should not affect any application.

  • What is the meaning of "some elements will also be deleted 2 albums".

I am about to delete some pictures of my iPad because I transferred to my computer and do not need copies of the photos.  When I select the photos on my iPad and then click on delete, I get the message "some items will also be deleted in 2 albums."  What does that mean?

The albums that you create on the device do not really contain copies of the photos. These albums just contain pointers to pictures that allow them to appear in the albums you have created. The message means exactly what he says. If you delete photos from the film, they will be deleted albums form the two that you 'placed' in.

  • Is there a way to recover deleted history sites? Also, a way to prevent unauthorized users to erase history?

Is there a way to recover deleted history sites? Also, a way to prevent unauthorized users to erase history?

You need administrative rights to do this. Be careful as it is possible to easily create a very difficult to solve waste.

    Run gpedit.msc

    Reach

    -User configuration

    -Administrative templates

    -Windows components

    -Internet Explorer

    -Delete browsing history

Disable the feature turned on 'delete browsing history '.

You also probably want to configure

    -InPrivate

    Disable the active InPrivate browsing

If you use IE8; Otherwise, the user can simply avoid registering in the first place.

    Also - the browser menus

Tools menu: Disable Internet Options... menu active

would be a good thing; Anyone who shouldn't be allowed to delete the history of should not be also change too much in the Internet Options.

For some reason, changes to this setting of group policy have no effect in IE6 and IE8 on a workgroup computer XP Pro.

In fact, I would like to disable the entire Tools menu item; However, there don't seem to be any means to do.

    Run gpupdate /Wait:0

Any user who cannot access gpedit.msc, editing the registry (regedit.exe, regedt32.exe) or mmc.exe may re-activate it now grayed out in the menu items.

Note: mmc.exe can be activated by right clicking my computer even as a limited user. Remove or deny permissions to these files for administrator users.

I would like to configure them on a per user or user group basis. Does anyone know of a way to do by not part of a domain?

I know no direct way to recover deleted history sites. Perhaps, they enter the trash somewhere. They may be captured by the network of monitoring programs, even if they have been deleted from the personal computer.

  • Firefox can not delete history automatically any more?

Some time ago, it became impossible to make Firefox automatically delete the history through Tools/Options/Privacy. But it was still possible to manipulate it by going to about: config and change browser_history.expire.days. I used this to 3, then Firefox would remove my story after 3 days as I wanted.

But now money on config I find browser_history.expire.days.min and browser_history.expire.days.mirror. I guess the thing 'min' means that FF should keep my story at least X days, one I don't know.

All those browser_history.expire.days thingies are however made 3 for me. And FF won't always clear my history.

But then how can I get FF to delete automatically? Firefox has really become unable to make such a fundamental thing that deleting history automatically after a certain number of days user-defined?

    See: How to clear history

If you do not want to have Firefox keep historical never, tick the option called private browsing Permanent mode on the second picture in the link above.

You can also clear the history manually by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE and choosing options in the "time range to clear" at the top.

N.B. Since the release of Firefox 4.0.x days Firefox will remember history is directly related to the system hardware. Firefox calculates how much history to keep without impact on the performance of the system. You can not change this.

You could import from the phone to a PC. This would free of space on your phone. You can use iCloud for synchronize * only * between your PC and the cloud.

  • Can't delete songs from the iPhone from iTunes 6

    iPhone iOS 6 9.3.2

    iTunes 12.4.1.6

    OSX 10.11.4 El Capitan

I have manually manage music on my iPhone with iTunes.  I used to be able to select an album in iTunes and then drag it to the iPhone to add it to the iPhone.  The only way I can get the albums on my iPhone is now, right-click and select Add to the device.  Also, I used to be able to DELETE the songs off iPhone from iTunes.  Now when I select and right-click on several songs of the devices > iPhone > music section of iTunes, the only option I get is to add to the Playist...  I can't delete songs from my iPhone from iTunes.  Any ideas.  There must be a better way than the manual removal of the iPhone.

When your iPhone is connected to iTunes, check the settings > music section to find something like this:

You can check "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres" here instead of 'Library of music together' as I did.

On the iPhone summary page, you can also check a box that says something like "only sync checked items" - or words to that effect.

  • I walked in and my child quickly deleted history on the computer, how do I get it back? A concerned parent.

I tried to recover the history but don't know how. I know that sometimes when you delete things he's going in the trash, but not that. Does anyone know how to get it back or if there is a way to make sure no one can erase history more?

Probably not without using data recovery software. This requires a good amount of computer skills. There are ways to prevent the deletion history, but you must change the registry for each browser.

Some better solutions for a non-technical person (and I guess you're so I hope that I don't offend you by this hypothesis):

1 create a free account on OpenDNS and block unwanted sites to enter your network in the first place.

2 do you have computers in a public space of the House, not in the child's room.
