Deleting the files from unwanted program

I uninstalled a program, but I can't delete the files. When I "think" I deleted (recycle emptied) they reappear later. How can I get these on my computer? Oh, and it still shows on my installed programs (w/34.5 MG program sometimes stays, but no msg is used) and when I click on uninstall, it says there is no such file or directory. But there are? Me sorry I tried the shareware.  They are in c:/user/programfiles /-programs are PC Confidential by Winferno, SRS Studios and Stardock Objectdock.

Hello
Assuming that you have uninstalled via the Control Panel, software (not only deleted the folder of the application) it might help to reinstall the offending application and uninstall it right afterwards.
Kind regards
Hans

I inherited a laptop Toshiba family, now full of their information and mine, passwords, and others.  There a program according to Toshiba Recovery disk, which is easy enough for anyone to use?  I want just all the other information that mine are not off the computer, not necessarily the programs and associated files.  As my collection of mp3 curly and all my family photos.  The OS is Vista Home Basic 64 bit, if that matters. I just want to be able to do this at home rather than having someone paid to do. Thank you.

    Hello

If you get a second hand computer, you must reinstall the operating system and start to configure it as you wish.

There are other reasons why it is recommended, that probably does not apply in your case: Malware, p0rn, etc..

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • How to delete the files from my HP ePrint app after download / print?

Can someone tell me how to delete the files from my HP ePrint app after that I downloaded and printed. Thank you

    jmsandkds,

I apologize for the confusion. Options you speak of "photos, web and file" are located on the phone somewhere, lets say you click files. When you click on files, it will search the phone for available files that are able to print the ePrint app. To the extent where they are on the phone, you will need to search for them via the search screen, connection to the computer, or some files are program specific and only available in this program to be read, edited, or deleted.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

Nothing in the Windows or Program Files and files their subfolders should be left alone.  You won't earn a significant amount of disk space, and you may cause to yourself untold trouble sleeping herein.  Use instead the provided Windows Disk Cleanup.  You can get to it by clicking on start-> computer, then click on the C: drive and click Properties.  On the general tab, you will see disk cleanup.  Use it and you will be safe (and not sorry).  Everything you personally placed on the computer can always be removed of course as long as you do not try to remove installed manually the software (use the programs and features in the control panel for this).

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

  • Impossible to delete the file from Windows Media Player

I'm on Windows 8 and tried to remove an artist from my Windows Media Player library. It does not work it just did nothing. Instead, I deleted the file from my music folder, but the artist remains in my library and now does not play the file.

    How can I fix it?
Is there someway to prevent that from happening again with other music files?

    Hey Tapper,

I suggest you to clear the database of Windows Media Player and see if the problem still occurs.

    To do:

    a. press the Windows key + R and type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

    b. Select all files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

Note You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. press the Windows key + R and type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoftand then click OK.

    b. Select the Media Player folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

    c. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    I hope this helps.

Please post back with the State of the question and we will be happy to help you further.

  • can I delete the files from the backup.backupb folder?

I'm trying to restore a backup time machine on a hard drive that is smaller than the backup. It is safe for me to delete unnecessary files from the backup.backupb folder?

Actually, no. Deleting files directly from the sparebundle will lead to file corruption.

My 98 concert disc, I have only 37 free concerts and I only put about 20 Gig on myself.
How to make and the rest of my car back?
I'm sure there must be some kind of restore partition.

    Thank you.

    You have a Vista installed?

If yes then there is a hidden partition on your HARD drive.
This hidden partition is created automatically by Vista and it contains the necessary backup files.
If something will go wrong on your HARD drive or with the Vista operating system would be able to repair the system using the files from the hidden partition.

The question is now; do you want to delete this partition, and for that you may BONES can be restored if something will go wrong?

In case you I would leave it on the HARD drive.

  • I would like to delete the files from recovery

    Hello

Until I take my computer to get fixed, I did a complete backup of my files, etc.  Because the computer has not crashed as I thought it might, I needed only to recover the portion of the music from my backup.  I ran the restore files and the computer restored a full copy of my hard c drive.  It takes a majority of space on my hard drive and I would like to know if I can delete these files.  They are stored on c: / / System Recovery / and then two cases: c - what is a complete copy of my c drive and the music that is a copy of my music files.

    Thank you

    Hello

Yes, you can delete the files that you find is not necessary in this case. Make sure that you back up the files you need to another location so that you can use them later if necessary.

There are files in my library that I deleted the files, but the items still appear in my library. • How can I delete the files from my property?

Somehow some of my documents ended up in my file of cloud (active). I see options for sharing, download, everything except DELETE. I'm sure there's an easy way to remove the files, but for some reason, I can't! Help!

    --PB

Deleting files is a two step process (think Trash on Mac OS X or the Recycle Bin on Windows). You move the files from the Archive and then delete them.

With a browser sign with Your Adobe ID on the current site at https://assets.adobe.com/files.

Switch default to the mosaic to the list view (so that it is easier to select several files at once).

Then click the top checkbox to select all the files, click on the blue buttonand select the action from the Archive .

Then in the menu on the left select the filter to Archive, then you are at the https://assets.adobe.com/files?filter=archive. Now click the link Archives empty close to the upper left. In the overlay dialog box that appears, click delete .
