  I use a Dell Inspiron 1420 system. I hope that what I say below apply to your model, because most of the users of other brands could not follow my method.

  Right-click on a free space of the desktop > customize > mouse pointers (Yes, the mouse pointer) > here's where others could not follow...

  I have a gently used, Dell Inspiron 14R, my mother gave me a year ago.  It is 2 years old and was working fine until my child of 8 years began to play with her. I don't know what happened, but now the touchpad has stopped working. I have attached an external mouse which works fine, but I want to download photos from my iPhone and have that on the USB port.
