Dell Inspiron 14R WLAN Card disabled

Hello

I have a Dell Inspiron 14R running under Windows 7 64-bit. I had my PC from last November; about 7 months.

I was with my PC, and all of a sudden, I started having problems with wireless. I was unable to get on the internet. Other devices on my wireless network are able to connect to our network, but it is not relevant because my radio was not picking up anything at all, when he was still in the same place. The connection worked very well using an ethernet cable. After that is the problem, my Targus Bluetooth mouse also stopped working.  That's what I tried:

  1. Enter the Network Center and sharing, disabling my network card and then allowing him once again. This is usually the case. After having it more than 5 times, it never worked.
  2. Do a simple system restore. I tried to restore 3 different times for an update in the last week, each of them failed (probably another issue altogether).
  3. Re-install my NIC driver wireless and then restarting. This does not solve the problem.
  4. Check the Device Manager. He said that the wireless card worked properly.
  5. With the help of the DW WLAN CARD Utility. It says on the Link Status tab, after the State of the connection, Radio disabled. I tried right-clicking on the icon in my Notification area and then clicking turn on the transceiver. He then shows an alert saying that "the wireless network card is always disabled. Use the wireless switch or the hotkey to activate it. "By pressing Fn + F2, which is also supposed to allow the radio is nothing, without any action or whatever it is sign of Windows. I also tried to run tests under the Diagnostics tab. All the tests of transmitted material, with the connection test again for giving me this alert: "the wireless network card is always disabled. Use the wireless switch or the keyboard shortcut to activate"and then failing. When you run the diagnostics of CCX Client is the same thing.

What should I do? The problem is obvious that my card is disabled, as all signs point to that. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this? I have tried everything I know, not to mention countless Google searches.

Thank you!

Hello

Welcome to the community. On the Inspiron N4010, use the F2 key to activate wireless on or off. Use Windows Mobility Center in Control Panel to check the status of the wireless connection.

Thank you

I use a Dell Inspiron 1420 system. I hope that what I say below apply to your model, because most of the users of other brands could not follow my method.

Right-click on a free space of the desktop > customize > mouse pointers (Yes, the mouse pointer) > here's where others could not follow...
Do you see the Dell Touchpad window? If so, click it > click Device Select Settings button > under the Touchpad, click Activate. Note You can also check "Disable Touchpad/Pointing Stick when external USB mice is present > OK"

Buy a USB hub. They are inexpensive; Amazon has them from $5.99

They transform into a USB port into several, as an extension or a cube

  • Display of garbage on Dell Inspiron 14R N4010

I have an Inspiron 14R (N4010) since Oct 2011 and primary I use it for applications of music such as the software of DJing and music production/editing software. I also used to browssing the net and some small games online. No other games are installed in it. Last month, he showed signs of freezing of the graphics. I've always had forced restarts when the screen froze. I had checked it and the tech guys open because he has also noticed that the Palm on the left side heats up pretty quickly. The fan was almost completely blocked with dust that is built like a carpet on the inside. It caused more than heating the radiator and the Council. So he cleaned up and back together. Heat problem disappeared but graphic gel still occurred from time to time.

Two weeks ago the display become unreadable in a few minutes, the graphics have become garbage. I brought it to a computer repair shop, and they said that the only way to resolve this should re-ball of the chip of the card. My laptop graphics card is ATI Radeon 550v

Last week, I was forced to buy a newer laptop which is the 14R N5437 (my third Dell laptop since 2005) because I can't have ANY. But I'd still like my fixed N4010 as I'll use just at home.

    My question is:

    1. How safe and how much he would finally have the re-Motte chip?

    2. is there a way for me to replace the card with a new appliance or 2nd hand.

The cards cost less than $100

    http://www.eBay.com/BHP/Dell-Inspiron-N4010-motherboard

which is probably cheaper than a repair, assuming that you can replace the Board yourself.

  • Upgrading RAM for laptop DELL INSPIRON 14R N4010.

    Hello everyone.

Initially, my RAM in my computer PORTABLE DELL INSIPRON 14R N4010 is 2 GB of DDR3 memory.

As the performance of my computer is very slow, I am now looking to upgrade my RAM.

    The original RAM with the laptop is 2 GB 1333 MHZ SODIMM DDR3, 256 x 64, 8 k, 204 pins(Im if am not mistaken).

    Enquires below to:

    1. may I install a brand RAM memory Kingston ( KVR13S9S8/4) to the second slot ? And I still hold to the first location of 2 GB of RAM.

    2. my first memory of RAM of Slot is 1333 MHz 2 GB, it appropriate to put an another 1600 MHz 4 GB of RAM to my second slot?

Experienced and expert technicians, pls leave your comment here.

    Thx for your help.

    Rgds.

    Hi Ho Xu Zhe,.

The Inspiron N4010 system supports dual channel DDR3 SDRAM SODIMM with speeds of 1333 MHz memory.

    1. Yes, brand RAM memory Kingston (KVR13S9S8/4) is compatible with your system. You can install the 2 GB of DDR3 RAM on the slot 1 and memory of Kingston on the slot 2.
    2. 1600 MHz clock speed memory is not compatible your system.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

  • Update the Dell Inspiron 660 graphics card

I had my Dell Inspiron 660 for a little over a year and am now looking to upgrade the graphics card. It's pretty close to it, but mine works on Windows 7:

In my opinion, he has a power supply 300 watt, 8 GB of ram, integrated Intel HD graphics card and is the complete Office Tower (not mini). I'm tired of playing games on low heat and would like a card that can handle parameters of medium-high on the games. I could upgrade food if necessary, but would like to keep all of the budget under $ 200. I heard the AMD Radeon 7750 may work with a 300 Watt power supply, but I don't want to take the risk of harming the computer. One of these cards would be suitable for my current setup:

    http://www.Amazon.com/XFX-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-FX775...

    or

    http://www.Amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-1024MB-graphics-01G-...

Or do I have to switch to a diet that is higher (like this one), and then that the cards would be good under $150?

    http://www.Amazon.com/Corsair-Builder-series-Watt-CX500...

You can use the 650 GTX because it requires a power supply cable 6 pin that does not have 300 watt POWER supply.  The only one that works is the 7750 HD because it does not require any additional power cling. Your best bet for the game would be to upgrade your power supply.  With the upgrade of the PSU, I will seek to obtain the R7 X 260 HERE.  This is the best you can do for less than $150.

  • can I upgrade my Dell Inspiron 14R N4010 HDD SDS?

    Hello

I do intend to upgrade Dell inspiron n4010 SATA hdd to SSD, is it possible?

If so it would be simply plug-out and plugin or you would have a few extensions?

    Thanks in advance.

You can simply replace in a 2.5 SSD "and reload Windows or clone your existing operating system (the former requires that make you a set of recovery media it will require other hardware and software).

Replacing the hard drive on this model requires a bit of disassembly - including the abolition of the system board.  Make sure that you are comfortable with the level of work:

  • Dell Inspiron 2320 video card - can only install the drivers for Dell?

Is it not possible to install the direct drivers of nVidia? Dell drivers are quite obsolete compared to those that I can download on the nVidia site...

If it is possible, how? When I try to install a nVidia Driver it says that it cannot detect the compatible hardware.

    Hi fabriciofla,

My apologies for the information I have given in the previous post. Dell Inspiron One 2320 a NVIDIA Optimus technology then you will not be able to update the drivers on the manufacturer's Web site. Ask you to wait that we test pilots and launch it on the Dell support site (time is not fixed).

  • Dell Inspiron 14r 5420 cannot detect the wireless network card

I scanned several times but still could not detect any wireless adapter.

And then I tried to uninstall all the cards and install the last card that I had downloaded from http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/ServiceTag/DV1KDT1

The two of them I tired to install and they have been unzipped successfully, but when I scanned the network adapters in Device Manager, even once, there is no change, all new.

    And I also got this

When I clicked it, it became like that

    Amicodu,

Sorry for the delay, got a little because I was absent.

I don't see your listed wireless adapter. It may have failed or came loose. If you are under warranty, contact Dell Support tech.

If you are not under warranty, the manual can be found HERE and go to page 45.

The aircraft disappeared after I disabled it, where can I find, he ain't not in Device Manager under sound devices

You can find it on the Drivers and Utilities CD you received with your computer. You can also download it from Dell downloads if you do not have the CD. When you access Dell downloads they will ask for your Service tag number that you will find at the bottom of your laptop. If she isn't here the download site can scan your computer and find it, even if it is not totally nessary, you can simply enter Inspiron 6000.

  • Dell Inspiron 14R 5420 - new keyboard does not

    Hello

A key on the keyboard of my laptop did not work. I checked that it was a problem on the keyboard, so I bought a new. I removed my keyboard before, so I thought that it wasn't a problem. So I installed a new one, everything is ok. Then I turned off my laptop and saw that the keyboard has been aligned, so I moved it a little more. Now both new and old keyboard does not work. The connector looks fine, but I am not a technician. I tried reinstalling the driver, but they don't always work.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you for you time.

    Hi Edivar_f

    Please write to us.

As the old and the new keyboards do not work, looks that the port on the motherboard has gone bad.

Just to doublecheck you can try an external USB keyboard and check how his work.
