Dell PowerEdge 2950, ESXi 4.0, doesn't have a hard drive

Hi all

I just joined the forum for posting this, I could not find anything about my question really and I hope you can help.

I have a Dell PE2950 with ESXi 4.0 and six 500 GB drives. A VM guest that resides on the host is our domain controller. I'm not sure of the RAID of the ESX Server configuration because there is no Server Setup, must understand this soon. One of the hard drives failed, is showing a yellow light on the sled by car and vSphere said in his papers.

Issues related to the:

1. I'm looking for something tangible on the best way to do so; best practices article kb article, forum posts. We should hot swap the drive as is? Stop all servers first? First migrate the servers to another server ESXi?

2 is it possible to know which level of RAID is configured for vSphere?

Thank you!

B
