Dell Support download has some drivers for old Dimension 2400, responsible of what was there, but still have an unknown device
Hi, hard drive is dead on Dell dimension 2400, re-installed with existing win XP (SP3). Another computer used to go to Dell support and download line that few drivers I could find for the serial number. (Broadcom Integrated NIC, graphics controller, Modem) Drivers installed and I still have an unknown device (point yellow question mark for unknown sandwiched between the network adapters and Ports). Wired Ethernet worked before hard drive failure - properties for Broadcom 440 x say ' device working properly ", but it will not pick up a DHCP IP. Set the IP to the network router and can now same URL and local peripheral ping like www.google.com , but cannot get to internet with IE explore manually.
Is there any other software drivers that are found in Dell archive somewhere I need to load to remove the unknown device?
Any idea this device might be hiding between the "network adapters" and "Ports (Com and LPT)? Appreciate any help. Thanks, Dave
Please provide the hardware ID:

Satellite Pro L870 - missing some drivers for Win 7 - unknown device DEV_1E3A
Just took delivery of some new L870 Pro of Satellite we have reinstalled Windows 7 but seem to be missing some drivers. I downloaded installed all the drivers available from the download site but we still have an unknown device.
VEN_8086 & DEV_1E3A
Looking around it can be an IMEI chip but I was not able to confirm the DEV ID of any of our sources generally. Does anyone have an idea what it is and where I could get the 64 bit Windows 7 drivers?

The fault is on the end of Dells and not on your end. The links are broken any browser you use. Ignore the drivers and downloads page and instead download the drivers from the links direct here (drivers and downloads is intended to take you to the same place).

Need USB drivers for old Equium L40 - 10U PSL41E running Vista 32-bit
Hi all
I think that my USB driver is corrupted. I found the ChipSet, LAN and BIOS drivers for my old PSL41E Equium L40 - 10U running Vista 32 bit. However, I have not found the USB drives I need. USB drivers are contained in the ChipSet, BIOS or LAN driver?
If not, where can I find and download the USB drivers for my old old Equium L40 - 10U PSL41E running Vista 32 bit?
Thank you! -Le Cannet
Here is where I found the drivers (but with no mention of USB drivers):
[Drivers Equium L40 - 10U PSL41E | http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK&selCategory=8 & selFamily = 391 & selSeries = 326 & selProduct = 752 & selSho rtMod = 541 & language = 13 & selOS = 26 & selType = all & yearupl = DST & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = all Machines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = 8 & pa ge 1 = & startPage = 1 & prevCl = true]> Are contained in the ChipSet, BIOS or LAN USB drivers driver?
USB drivers are part of the Windows operating system.
The USB ports should work after the installation of the Windows operating system and, therefore, there is no such thing as a USB driver for the USB 2.0 standard. In addition, the chipset driver must be installed.
I checked the proposed link in your ad and here, you can download the Intel chipset utility.

Pavilion G6-2244sa: cannot download the network drivers for windows 7
Bought my laptop at home about 3 years that came with windows 8. I've replaced the operating system with windows 7 that I hated the feel of windows 8. Everything was fine until this year, when my internal hard drive is gone. I replaced with a new drive hard and loading the new windows 7. Must connect to the internet so that I can get all the latest drivers for the laptop. I am able to connect via an ethernate cable but unable to connect via wifi. I tried to download the latest drivers for this model but can't download drivers for windows 8.
How to find the right drivers for windows 7. My warranty ran out last year. As this portable windows 8 is there a chance that I could upgrade to windows 10. I'm not savvy computer as I often to ask my co-worker or my COMPUTER service assistance.

I have updated my OS on my laptop from vista to windows 7, but my web cam still has the drivers for the Device Manager Vista.the indicates that its working properly, but his does not work when I want to do a call.also, video i tried to identify my built in webcam so I can get new drivers for windows 7 , but all I get under 'model' is "usb composite device" and not. How do I get my webcam to work by "model number"?
The built-in webcam is from manufacturers of your laptop, and therefore all drivers or webcam app is provided by the laptop manufacturer.
Usually, the vista drivers work.

Continuous error message: Dell Support Center has stopped working
I have Windows V8ista on an Inspiron530s. With any surgery, I keep getting the following massage:
"Dell Support Center Has Stopped Working Caused A problem blocking the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. " For several weeks, I tried to find out the reason for the error message. It will appear in a small box several times per hour during any operation. (internet or a document) I find no answers in any forum. I have a printer All in one HP that I uninstalled & reinstalled the software, for, at the suggestion of another, but that has not solved the problem.
AT the SAME TIME: I have Trend Micro Internet Security, (aka PC-Cillion) and although the firewall & defenses are up, I can't scan the computer for viruses. I spoke with trend micro Tech Support 4 times on the phone and various changes have been made, but not thhas solution. They seem to think that the problem is related to this error message. I'm really tired. Can anyone help? :?/
Best advice would be to uninstall the DSS. As you find that it causes more problems then it helps. Go to the Control Panel programs and features and are looking for Dell support Center and uninstall it.

Hello!
If he chooses the compatibility, he will lose a little performance. So, it's not a good idea ;)
The best way is to load the SATA drivers. It can also create a clean Windows disk with nLite.
