Deployment of ADF to 1.3 WLS

Hello

How can I deploy ADF to a linux system that works without xwindows?
As I understand the only option for oracle jdeveloper 11g Installer?
I know that I can use X forwarding, but is there really no other way?

Hello

If the model is BC of the ADF, and then you set the name of the module of the Application data source. Mouse right click, choose 'Configure', then 'Edit' and change the conenct to URL JDBC database to the data source

Check and compare libraries of the project against the projects running.

You should see a difference. I guess that there is either a former library included, or is missing.

  • Deployment of ADF library jar files

    Hello

My question is that I have to include jar files that my application has a reference to them in my ear file? Jars for JSF, ADF rumtime, ADF faces DURATION,... these jar files should not be part of the ADF library that I installed on top of WLS?

ADF BC classes are in the adf.oracle.domain library.

  • Deploy the ADF library JAR independent of the Application

    Hello

    JDeveloper release: 11.1.1.1.0
    WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.1.0

I use a number of ADF library JAR files in my application and want to deploy the final application WAR without the need of these jars in there. I want to have the option of deploying an ADF library JAR file if this is the only change to the application. This is very similar to the requirements for this How to deploy an application that uses "ADF library Jar" - 11 G UPDATE2.

However, I can't figure out how to make it work. I can remove the ADF in pots since the WAR file by filtering in the profile of the WAR deployment and then deploy the ADF pots independently on the WebLogic Server. But when I access the application, it seems that it does not find these pots.

Can anyone provide assistance on how to do this?

    Thank you
    Brad

While I was testing I found the below steps to work for me... But the problem is THAT WLS does not re - deploy a library where there is an active application to use... And none has proposed this approach so I tend to think deploying as an EAR.

1 - to do this, you can deploy the jar files as library via the WLS console or command line and you must update the file application.xml - weblogic in the project that you are deploying war/ear

      .

        taskFlow1

        myLib1

        myLib2

2 - If you want to use aliases instead of the names of files to libraries, you can add a line to the file 'manifest '. MF.
To add this add a file to your project. Meta-Inf folder might be a good candidate to locate this file.
Edit the newly added file and add these lines.

    Extension name: myLibrary
    Specification-Version: 2.0
    Implementation-Version: 9.0.0

    Hello-

I'm so frustrated with the ADF Mobile deployment. I have already created several Android applications using the native language and never did face problems of this kind. I am very familiar with the ADF development as well.

in any case, it's my problem.

I downloaded the mobile application of adf sample from the following tutorial, but I have been unable to deploy on the Android emulator in Release mode. The debug mode takes forever.

I tried to recreate the file of keys twice, but it did not help. I know that the entered password is correct.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Also, I started learning JQuery Mobile at the same time.

  • [SOLVED] Problems of packaging and deploying an application in an external WLS ADF

    Hello.

I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0, who has a WebLogic Server embedded 10.3.5.

When I test my application by right clicking on my page and run... in WLS on-board, everything works perfectly.

It works with any page and any flow.

Now, I have to deploy the same application to an external 10.3.6 WLS

First of all, I have the application package in one EAR to aid Assistant JDeveloper. I did right click in application-> Deploy-> MyApplication...-> select deploy ear...

Then, when .ear file is built, I run startWebLogic (I have already created a domain with the ADF operating options) and deploy the .ear as an app.

I have a lot of warnings, but the final message is deployment is ok.

It is therefore my surprise that I get a NullPointerException in the first page I test in the first access to an ADF/view iterator in the Java class:

    DCIteratorBinding iter = ADFUtils.findIterator("BusinessDataView1Iterator");
ViewObject vo = iter.getViewObject(); -- iter is null

This had worked many times in embedded 10.3.5 WLS.

    10.3.6 WLS console output is:

Between the sections of points, there are similar warnings.

I checked the .ear files (contains a .war), decompression it (the .war too) to a different folder and look for duplicates in text in any file and adfc - config.xml does exist only once in the .ear

How can I solve this? Someone have had similar problems during deployment in an external WLS?

Any help is very much appreciated, because this is so stuck to me, and it is urgent too.

  • [JDev12.1.2, ADF, GlassFish 4] A few questions on the tutorial of Shay "Deploy Oracle ADF Essentials Applications to Glassfish"

    Hallo (Shay),

I want to deploy my application Web ADF to GlassFish that is installed on a different server from the development computer.

The application interacts with a MS SQL Server database.

I have some doubts/questions on the tutorial of Shay https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/deploying_oracle_adf_applications_to

So far in the development phase, I deployed the application only to the JDeveloper-itegrated WebLogic Server on the development computer.

    Creating a connection pool

    • I could successfully creates a pool of connections only by copying the sqljdbc4.jar library in the C:\glassfish4\glassfish\libdirectory. Is this OK or should the library remain in C:\glassfish4\glassfish\domains\domain1\lib?
    • Is there a way to hide the password in the additional properties?
    • Is there any setting for the property should do (especially for MS SQL Server)? For example, somewhere I read that the isolation of transactions should be set to read uncommitted... but I did not understand why.
    • What is the difference between types java.sql.DataSource resources and java.sql.XADataSource?

    In JDeveloper application configuration

    • Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) set to java: comp/env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change this field value to jdbc / < name_of_jdbc_resource_created_in_GlassFish >, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What's wrong?
    • JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

Taking care of the libraries used by the application

    • In the project properties, between the libraries and railways class there are a few additional libraries I've used in applications. Here's the JAR files I put in C:\JDeveloper\lib. I copy these libraries on the production server? If Yes, where?

    Other questions

    • What is the difference between putting a library in the lib of GlassFish folder and put it in the folder lib of Domain1?
    • Deployment procedure used by Shay in his tutorial might also be used to deploy the application on a remote production server?
    • Is there a way to manually delploy an application, for example by copying manually under GlassFish project folder?
    • My final goal is as follows. I have a clean Setup that allows me (1) to continue to run the application in JDeveloper on its built-in WLS, (2) to test the application to the GlassFish that I have installed on the computer development and (3) delploy the application on the remote production server. Could help me do that?

These are a lot of questions.

I thank in advance all the users who want to respond and I hope that the answers to these questions will help also others.

    Ciao,.

    Federico

Federico - most of your questions is generic Glassfish questions that do not specifically have anything to do with ADF - I recommend that you post on the forum of Glassfish. (Or read the Glassfish documentation for things like the difference between directories and deployment/admin console).

    >>

    • Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) parameter tojava:comp / env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change the value of this field of jdbc /, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What is the problem?

This is because JDeveloper uses an integrated WebLogic when you run and therefor cannot use the data source of Glassfish.

I suggest that make you this change only when you go to deploy on Glassfish.

    >>

    • JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

We don't know, as the matrix of certification for the ADF will show that we have not tested/certified this combination.

    Hello

If it works at development time but not LONG then it may point you to a missing permission or bad security setting. When is he coming? The first time you access the application after deployment, or is it between the two?

Can user, you please tell us your exact Jdev version?

The error message tells you that the server has been started, but is not available under the localhost:7102 of access

The port doesn't look good for me. The built-in Server normally uses port 7101. You can check which port you configured for the server?

You can check this on the "application server" tab and select the built-in server, right-click, and select Properties. In the dialog box, you see the configuration.

  • Problem when deploying an ADF application to a remote server

    Hello

I have an app ADf with just a Page JSF (created automatically as a form of parameter ADF data control)...

I run the page on the integrated weblogic server and it works fine,

    When I have it deployed on a remote server, the successful deployment but when I tried to run the page using http:// < server-url >: < server-port > /Portal demo-ViewController-context-root /

the button send is not made, all items on the page EXCEPT the submit button!

    Any Suggestion?

    P.S: JDeveloper version is 11.1.1.6.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    OLA,

Have you checked that the ADF runtime is installed on the remote server and the managed server, you perform the deployment has access to them?

You see error messages in the server log file?
