Deprecated in 12.1.3 log4j?
Hello
I just had a look at the New features in Oracle WebLogic Server-page for WebLogic Server 12.1.3 and saw that Log4j is deprecated. I think not good that any other information on this subject, and the guide on logging 3 Configuration WebLogic Logging Services (12 c (12.1.3)) seem to include a lot of information on Log4j to be deprecated.
What are they actually to denigrate?
Thank you!
Deprecated means that the feature will no longer exist in the next major release of Weblogic Server. Although you can still use log4j logging for the 12.1.3 the server option, it is recommended to change by replacing those.
Note: You can still use log4j logging framework, however the doc that you referred is related to logging on the server. What's new in Oracle WebLogic Server
"The use of Log4j with the logging of WebLogic, as an alternative to the Java logging service, is discouraged from WebLogic Server 12.1.3."
You have read the doc below, is related to the application log.
http://docs.Oracle.com/middleware/1213/WLS/WLLOG/config_logs.htm
Hope that clarifies!
Thank you
Vijaya

To help you find number "Type unescaped backslashes are deprecated."
I tried searching the forums but haven't seen anything useful about this error. Not sure what I changed now responsible for this error but when I compile I get the following errors:
Description Resource Path Location Type Unescaped backslashes are deprecated. WeatherPilot line 77 C/C++ Problem make[2]: *** [o-g/WeatherPilot] Error 1 WeatherPilot C/C++ Problem make[1]: *** [debug] Error 2 WeatherPilot C/C++ Problem make: *** [Simulator-Debug] Error 2 WeatherPilot C/C++ Problem
The fact that it gives me a line number, but no file name don't makes me think it is coming from an auto-generated file. That and the single icon with a red x in the Project Explorer is associated by Resources JavaScript WeatherPilotsubgroup, which is my name for projects.
Hello
I recommend that you check a results of compilation for a more detailed description of the error (it should be on the Console tab). If this isn't there, try cleaning and reconstruction of the project.
Tab has analysed errors and IDE is not always extract properly.

The free Playbook will be deprecated before the end of the year?
"Right now, the PlayBook is available from a number of electronic retailers with a Wi - Fi only. Versions of the PlayBook with 3G / 4G are not available until later this year. At this point, the Sprint is the only carrier to commit to a 4G version of the PlayBook on the market, with WiMax onboard. AT & T or T-Mobile said they will store the PlayBook. »
Source: Information week
Our versions will only be wifi... Playbooks with 3G / 4G will be available later in the year. Does this mean that what I suspect? Or the update will be a software update rather than an update of the material?
No, it is not only a software update to convert the WiFi device only 4g devices, and in my opinion the current models will not "deprecated" by the newer model. iPads have both versions and sell them.

Implementation of log4j with ADR on Tomcat7
Hello
I was wondering if anyone has a configuration of log4j or any other logging on a tomcat7 with ADR?
I tried to do without success... (ADR itself works very well)
I have the following configuration:
ADR 3
Tomcat7
Java 7
The file structure: (I left out the files common to ADR)
ADR
-> apex_config
-> conf
-> newspapers
-> temp
-> webapps
-> link for ak
-> link to I
-> ADR
-> META-INF
-> WEB - INF
-> classes
-> common - logging.properties
-> log4j.properties
-> lib
-> log4j - 1.2.17.jar
-> oracle
-> scripts
-> work
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you
ADR does not load the log4j, it uses the logging of the JRE installations, that you can configure by using the standard mechanisms for configuring logging for JRE. You can learn more about this here:

It was a BIG PROBLEM for me for a few hours, so it might be for others. Maybe this post will try to help other users with the same problem and give advice to the developers to change this - in my opinion - absolutely behavior deprecable.
As in the topic, the problem is exactly that,
Advanced considerations.
I like use resolutions vesa extended with all my guests properly and quickly set up my screen resolution of comments at boot time machines.
With the Linux hosts I use Grub configuration for the glxmode Installer file to my chosen resolution (usually, I want my guests to start at 1440 x 900) and I use grub glxpayload option to prevent it from console for the graphical user interface.
Everything worked as expected until I upgraded my virtual equipment invited to the last version (12) and I've upgraded to the latest VMware Tools comments (version 10.0.5 - 3228253).
To cut it short, after this two tasks (upgrades and new VMware Tools upgrade of hardware), ALL my guests keep in order to ignore the resolution glxmode of Grub and they started in VGA mode, keep for the entire boot and me ending with a graphical machine set up in VGA resolution :-( Really disappointing. GRUB prompt showed me - using the command vbeinfo - bios extended vesa modes were not supported.
I use xorg.conf.d correctly the program installation of the X resolution (in the case of Linux guests), or have drag - and drop to resize screen when the OS and VMware Tools have been correctly loaded after startup was not complited, so I didn't yet still VGA (or all modes Vesa Bios "not extensive") at the start in console mode.
What I did to solve the problem.
I then studied the question and find the culprit. ALL my configuration machines (VMX files) virtual hosts have changed something (Virtual Hardware 12? New VMware Tools?) thereby three strings completely NOT WANTED AND NOT REQUIRED by me:
vmotion.checkpointFBSize = "4194304".
vmotion.checkpointSVGAPrimarySize = "33554432.
svga.guestBackedPrimaryAware = 'TRUE '.
I have not idea that are properly those lines, then I finally found - and it was a relief - that simply evolution:
svga.guestBackedPrimaryAware = 'TRUE '.
TO
svga.guestBackedPrimaryAware = "FALSE".
solved the problem and my guests again as before respected the glxmode configured in the Grub configuration file and were able to start any non-standard Vesa Bios mode. This was also, of course, confirmed by the command vbeinfo at the Grub prompt.
Now I ask: why Developer (or are considering it was not me?) change the behavior of such a delicate setting without explanation?
In my humble OPINION, if it is intended, VMware developers should go back to the old behavior where svga.guestBackedPrimaryAware (existed before? I don't have reallyknow) it is FALSE by default!
If it's a bug, please fix it :-(((
UPDATE: it's even worse than the supposed Iwas was :-(((sur certaines machines, je n'a pas encore découvrir sur quelle base, c'est encore pire!)) After the end of the parameter
svga.guestBackedPrimaryAware = "FALSE".
It is automatically (!) is:
svga.guestBackedPrimaryAware = "TRUE" :-(((
Now the problem is: how to block this change? Yes, I can always change read-only VMX file, then I guess there is another parameter controlling the guest VM configuration the automatic changes! If you have an idea...
Message modificato da jtayeye spelling check :-)
Sorry, I think that the specific configuration option changed in recent versions.
Try to set the following configuration option:
svga.minVRAMSize = 8388608
That should guarantee a minimum of 8 MB of VIDEO memory for patterns VESA you are trying to define.

I have the following code that queries a vcenter and retrieves some CPU stats for last week, one a day.
$metrics = "cpu.usagemhz.average", "cpu.usage.average".
$start = (get-Date). AddDays(-7)
$finish = get-Date
Get-stat - entity (Get-Cluster *) - Stat $metrics - start $start - finishing $finish - interval 86400
It works fine, but I want to amend it to export to CSV so that I was going to cast the last line in the Export-Csv cmdlet as follows:
Get-stat - entity (Get-Cluster *) - Stat $metrics - start $start - finishing $finish - interval 86400. Export-Csv C:\output.csv
I get the following error with the extra bit on the end if:
WARNING: The 'EntityId"of the type of sample property is deprecated. Use the property "entity".
I already use entity and not EntityId so I'm confused somewhere. As I said, it works fine without the export to CSV. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
This is a warning, so there is no real problem (until they actually remove this property in a future generation, and whether you're using this property).
Add

to your script.
Or make a

I am trying to create my first slideshow. Unfortunately the method that I was going to use to create in Fireworks is no longer available for me, because of the feature being obsolete. How can I make this work now?
This command has been removed to the CS6.
What's new in Fireworks CS6 doc (http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/fireworks/using/whats-new-cs6.html), note that create slide show was one of five deprecated features.
Use multiple files as one animation
Fireworks can create an animation based on a group of image files. For example, you can create a slideshow based on several existing graphics.
- Select the file... Opened.
- Shift-click to select multiple files.
- Select Open the Animation, and then click OK. Fireworks opens files in a new single document, place each file in a separate State in the order in which you selected it.
Use the States Panel to modify your animation. Don't forget to choose "Animated GIF" in the Panel optimize.
Cycle2
Here's an easy option that requires no script: Cycle2 is a versatile slideshow for jQuery built around ease of use plugin. It supports a declarative style of initialization that allows full customization without any script. Just include the plugin, declare your markup and Cycle2 does the rest.

as you can see, the same is be connected twice. the first newspaper isn't the part "caused by", where the second has that, but the... 1 more is very frustrating. I want a complete log.
This is the config file:
log4j.rootLogger = DEBUG, FILE
log4j.appender.file = org. Apache.log4j.FileAppender
log4j.appender.file.file=c:/application.log
log4j.appender.file.layout = org. Apache.log4j.PatternLayout
log4j.appender.file.layout.conversionPattern = %m %n
I'm this deployment in weblogic. What I am doing wrong?
Thank you
Basically your code connects it twice. So to stop it stop it.
Your database layer is probably catch the exception, logging, then wrapping and throw the new exception. Which layer another captures and records.
Basic standard of the process - not to save the exceptions that get up again. Don't save the exceptions that are shrouded in other exceptions (which are then thrown.)

No idea why builders are deprecated in JavaFX 8?
Hi all
Greetings!
I worked with JavaFX 2.X. Now, I'm trying my hand in JavaFX 8 early access. I found that all manufacturers are deprecated in the jfx build 8.
Do anyone have any idea about this. ?
Thank you and best regards,
SAI Pradeep Dandem.Here's the original proposal for the manufacturers of self-mockery:
http://mail.OpenJDK.Java.NET/pipermail/openjfx-dev/2013-March/006725.htmlThe relevant parts of the proposal of Richard:
We made a mistake... our app has unsolvable problems regarding binary compatibility... This has been accomplished using generic drugs and as it turns out, depended on two bugs in the JDK 6 and JDK 7 to work (even if we didn't know it at the time). These bugs have been fixed in JDK 8, and as a result, manufacturers no longer work correctly in some cases... My proposal after weighing the options is to gradually eliminate the builders of their depreciation in 8 and remove them from the path of class 9. I think FXML or Lambda or alternative languages, all other means to achieve the same builders, but without the additional cost in the classes or the byte code.
When Java 8 came out, probably, there will be a documentation who accompanies and advises on what to use in place of the builders.
My guess is that the default recommendation (at least with Java), for better or for worse would be to use FXML or just the API Java standard procedure.
