Device Simulator to work, don't

Hello

I installed the component package 4.6.1 for eclipse, that contains the Simulator for 8900Curve...

Now trying to open the Http connection I get the error of Tunneling...

But interesting is that I get this only Simulator... app works well on real device...

I set deviceside = true and interface = wifi for connection... and all works well on other simulators, but not on this one...

Someone knows why?

Thank you.

Kris

Go to the 'Manage connections' option on your desktop 8900 Simulator and check that 'WiFi' is enabled.

My app works great on different simulators, receive messages from my server (all on localhost). However, I can't make it work when I plug in my phone via USB. I select my phone in the list of Blackberry devices and then installs the application, starts the listener in the background and I can open the user interface. Messages are delivered to the MDS, but they then fail with the message:

PushServlet: FAILURE - cannot map device XXXXX a host to the PDAP.

I tried to add my device Simulator "rimpublic.property" section, but that didn't work either: I think that it comes to queue messages.

I found the answer. It is the combination of two things:

    (1) I had to use 'ApplicationManager.getApplicationManager () .inStartup ()' to delay my code from running until the aircraft was ready.

    (2) I tried to debug using my direct phone with an SDM server on my laptop (localhost). I never had this work, but once I opted for the reality of the BES server, the debugger kicks and everything worked as expected.

    Hello AndreauLuty,

It will be different depending on the manufacturer of the computer that you have. Go to the control panel and go to the mouse option. On some computers, there is a tab for the Touchpad and you can turn it off from there.

See the thread below the TechNet that describes how to disable the touchpad.

    Jake

    Hey Jake,

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Follow these steps:

    (a) restart your computer if you have not already done so. There is always the possibility that the error Code 31 that you see was caused by a temporary problem with Device Manager. If so, a simple reboot can solve the Code 31.

    (b) have you install a device or a change in the Device Manager, just as the Code 31 error appeared? If so, it is very possible that the modification caused the Code 31 error.

    (c) cancel the change if you can restart the computer and then check again the error Code 31. Depending on the changes, some solutions may include:

Remove or reconfigure newly installed unit.

Restore a version prior to updating the driver.

Use system restore to undo the Device Manager recent related changes.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/system-restore-frequently-asked-questions

    (d) to remove the registry values filters upper and lower. A common cause of errors in Code 31 is the corruption of two registry values in the class of the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive registry key.

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward

  • Windows 7 "Listen to Device" does not work.

Hello, I'm having a problem with my laptop, it's a newer model and honestly, I don't think the material has nothing to do with this problem so I won't explain the model and all this unless I need to.

I watch movies on my PS3 (Blu - Ray) and have noise sink cable into the port of microphone on my laptop I have a wireless USB headset hooked up to my laptop and have the "listen to device" function turned on so that I can listen to my movies without worrying about my roommates.

It worked perfectly for a while, then last night I rebooted my computer and listen to this device has stopped working.  There is no real reason why it is, as when I go to the sound page it shows signal in (bar green little change in the volume level).  I even disconnected the cable and plugged into a set of wired headphones (which I'd use but they are trash in comparison to my wireless) and it works great I could hear.  But when the option to listen to this unit is turned on it does not all sounds out of the source that I have to say.  Microphone is not muted sound is turned on, all the way to the top, I tried turning the microphone amp that did nothing I got the sound on everything, still nothing.  Each local sound on the computer works just the microphone no longer works I know that the computer is to recognize they will attenuate the signal (due to the microphone, saying: he becomes the signal in windows) so what is the reason why it will not transfer the sound to a USB device (which is an option that I choose in the box 'reading through this system')

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Thank you for your reply,

-Try to check with the PS3 peripheral or USB device noise level if it is mute or low which could prevent a wireless device to send the signal.

-Try to check that the wireless USB headset works correctly on another computer.

-I suggest to uninstall and reinstall the audio device driver and device driver updates, so that windows will check the latest updates.

Try suite microphone and device troubleshooting visit the below web page:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/connect-a-microphone-music-player-or-other-audio-device-to-your-computer

Try this article associated with no sound in windows troubleshooting:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows/help/no-sound-in-Windows

    Note:

    • Some laptops have an external volume control. If you use a laptop, check the external volume control to make sure it is not turned down.
    • In some cases, you can have multiple volume controls to check. For example, if you use Windows Media Player, it has its own volume control; Windows has a volume control; and your external speakers have their own volume control. If one of these volume controls are set to their lowest setting, you won't hear any noise.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know

  • BlackBerry World on 10.3.1 device Simulator

    Hi all

I searched here and found no answer on how to test the invocation of the BlackBerry world in the last 10.3.1.xxx Device Simulator!

    can someone help me please?

I can not even find the World of BlackBerry app in the Simulator...

BlackBerry World is not supported or included in 10 of BlackBerry Simulator.  Applications downloaded from BlackBerry World on the Simulator will not work because they are compiled for the ARM and the Simulator uses x 86 binary.

To test that you will need to use a real device or a test like the Perfecto Mobile service that allows remote tests on real devices.

  • Connect a device Simulator to a BES

    Hello

First of all, I am a newbie to everything that blackberry.  I will work on the development of mobile applications on blackberries for our society.  We currently have a BES, I try to connect to a device Simulator.

I followed the instructions I found online here.

And according to the instructions, I was connected, but I am still unable to navigate anywhere.  Instead, I get an error message about: unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later.

Any thoughts on what I might hurt?

I use the simulator device for 9500 and I think our BES corp is 4.1...

    Thanks in advance.

In the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator, go to Options, Advanced Options, service book.  What the PDAP service books do you see there?  You should see an entry that says "Desktop [IPPP]", which is for your BlackBerry Enterprise Server.  If you see other entries of the PDAP attempt to delete in origin by choosing Delete in the menu.  If this does not help, try the following:

    1. close the Simulator.

    2. run clean.bat or manually remove the .dmp files.

    3. move net_rim_bb_sbinjector_lib.cod and net_rim_sdk_simulationSB.cod from the simulator\Java directory to another location on your hard drive outside the directory of Simulator (keep it in case you want to use the MDS - CS Simulator and/or mail server Simulator).

    4. follow the steps of the DKB article you reference above (you will need EA again).

  • Read Device Simulator jad properties programmatically

    Hello.

I know there are ways to read properties in an RIMlet JAD file, but we face a problem when you use the Simulator devices:

The common way to do this is more sample extract to:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/testing-and-deployment/programmatically-read-the-attributes-o...

And it's working pretty well on the device.

However this code snippet does not work when you use the device Simulator (we use 9000 Simulator included in JDE components). It seems that he is not capable of matching the CodeModuleGroup of the application.

The project is compiled with API 4.6.1 and we use ant + bb - ant - tools for the generation.  Pourrait - what the problem may be because on a simulator, we do not install the app?

So the question is: is there a trick to be able to read the file properties on the simulator device as jad?

    THX in advance,

Why not install the application via the jad, rather than compile directly in the Simulator?

If the MDS Simulator, start it up the Simulator you want to test with, put your jad/cod on a web site accessible and load from there.

    Just a thought.

  • SP A60: As soon as the day before, why devices do not work?

    Hello

A question on my Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 (P2.8GHz, 40 GB, Win XP Pro, delivered to the factory and expanded with Belkin 54 G wireless PC card network adapter).

When the laptop awakens from the day before, several devices no longer work, for example the wireless network card. I have not found something to check (UN) Wake-On-Lan, resume, power management or something similar.

After a full reboot, everything works fine again.

What could I do to let all devices work the same after waking from standby?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

    Hi, Herman

I had the same situation, but I have found no solution for this problem. Just after the restart, it was OK again. It's really not easy to explain. You have this problem with the power supply or battery?
