Dictionary of table with info on subsidies on objects for user roles

Hi all

I use a package, sequence, and we have a different set of roles and users.
I want to know what user or role is seen to execute privilege or right to select the package and order.

Can someone tell me which table data dictionary will hold this information.

Appreciate your help.

Thank you
Maddy

Hi, Maddy,

These rights are stored (confusion) in all_tab_privs (and dba_tab_privs and user_tab_privs, of course).
Column in table_name is the name of the object, whether a table, a packet or sequence.

If the sequence is used inside the package, users with privileges running on the package need not privileges on the sequence (assuming AUTHID DEFINE, which is the default). The owner of the package needs the privileges on the sequence.

  • Export / import tablespace with all objects (data, users, roles)

Hi, I have a problem or a question to the export of the section / import tablespace.

On the one hand, I have a database 10g (A) and on the other hand, an 11g database (B).

At there is a tablespace called PRO.

    Also 3 users:

PRO_Main - contains the datas - space PRO

    PRO_Users1 with a PRO_UROLE - professional role

    PRO_Users2 with a PRO_UROLE - professional role

Now, I want to transfer the tablespace set PRO (included users PRO_MAIN, PRO_USER1, PRO_User2 and PRO_UROLE role) from A to B.

On B, I created the user PRO_Main and the tablespace PRO.

On A, I run suite statement:

    expdp TABLESPACES PRO_Main/XXX DIRECTORY PRO = DUMPFILE TSpro.dmp LOGFILE = backup_datapump = = TSpro.log

    B:

    Impdp TABLESPACES PRO_Main/XXX DIRECTORY PRO = DUMPFILE TSpro.dmp LOGFILE = backup_datapump = = TSpro.log

    Result:

The user PRO_Main has been imported with all data.

But miss me PRO_USER1, PRO_User2 and PRO_UROLE role...

I guess, I've used wrong settings in my experienced and / or impdp.

Would be nice, if someone can give me a hint.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards

When you perform an export of TABLESPACE mode by simply specifying tablespaces, then everything gets exported are tables and dependent objects. Users, roles, and tablespace definitions themselves don't get exported.

When you perform a SCHEMA mode export by specifying the schemas, you will get the schema definitions (if the schema running export is privied) and all of the objects that has the schema. The schema is not owner of roles or tablespace definitions.

In your case, you want to move

1 patterns - that you have already created 1 on your target database
    2. the roles
3 all in the storage spaces belonged to several patterns.

There is not 1 import/export command that will do that. This is how I could do this:

    1. move the schema definitions
    a. you can either create them manually or
    B1. expdp schemas = include = user
    impdp B2 b1 results.

    2 transfer the roles
complete expdp = include = role...
don't forget, this will include all the roles. If you want to limit what is exported, use:
    include = role: "in (" ROLE1","ROLE2", etc.).
    impdo roles come to export

    3. move the user information
    a. If you want to move all the objects in the diagram as functions, packages, etc., then you need to use a schema view
    Export
    patterns of username/password expdp = a, b, c...
    b. If you want to move only the objects in these storage spaces, and then use the export of tablespace
    expdp username/password = tbs1 storage spaces, tbs2,...

    c. import the dumpfile generated in step 3
    Impdp username/password...

    I hope this helps.

  • data from 3 tables with later dates

    Hello
Need help with the PL/SQL code, I need to write a code that will get the data from 3 tables with the most recent date.

For an individual ACT_CODE the output of the SQL query should display the data including the last dates back to 3 tables, if there is no
Date of the table, it should show the remaining data (think that the left join will do here)

    Names of tables:
    Institution_UPDT aiu
    AC ASQ_CONTACT
    GR_AUTHORIZE gr

All 3 tables have ACT_Code in common

    Column names

    INSTITUTION_UPDT IAU - IAU. ACT_CODE, AIU.project_id as proj, IAU. UPDT_TYPE_ID, IAU. User_id, IAU. UPDT_DATE

    ASQ_CONTACT ac - ac. ACT_CODE as contact_code, ac.project_id, ac.first_name, ac.middle_initial, ac.last_
    Name, AC.title, AC. Status, AC.status_date

    GR_AUTHORIZE gr - GR ACT_CODE as grad_code, gr.name, gr.title AS grad_title, gr.submit_date

Are the names of the columns date
    AC.status_date,
    IAU. UPDT_DATE and
    Gr.submit_date

    Thanks to you all

    Hi, Ngoumba,

If a given ACT_Code couldn't miss from any of the tables, then you will use better full outer joins, not a join left outer.

Perhaps it would be more effective to make a UNION of the three tables, then rotate the results in three datecolumns.

You can use the GROUP BY aggregation to get the last date for each ACT_Code in each table.
If you need other columns in the row which is the last date, you can use the ROW_NUMBER analytic function, like this:

    SELECT ACT_Code
    , updt_date
    , ROW_NUMBER () OVER ( PARTITION BY ACT_Code
                              ORDER BY updt_date DESC
                      ) AS r_num
    FROM institution_updt

The lines with r_num = 1 are the most recent

This is a technique of ot the UNION-PIVOT example:

    WITH union_data AS
    (
         SELECT ACT_Code
         , MAX (updt_date) AS last_date
         , 1 AS table_id
         FROM institution_updt
         GROUP BY ACT_Code
    UNION ALL
         SELECT ACT_Code
         , MAX (status_date) AS last_date
         , 2 AS table_id
         FROM ASQ_Contact
         GROUP BY ACT_Code
    UNION ALL
         SELECT ACT_Code
         , MAX (submit_date) AS last_date
         , 3 AS table_id
         FROM GR_Authorize
         GROUP BY ACT_Code
    )
    SELECT ACT_Code
    , MAX (CASE WHEN table_id = 1 THEN last_date END) AS aiu_updt_date
    , MAX (CASE WHEN table_id = 2 THEN last_date END) AS ac_status_date
    , MAX (CASE WHEN table_id = 3 THEN last_date END) AS gr_submit_date
    FROM union_data
    GROUP BY ACT_Code
    ORDER BY ACT_Code

  • Huge table with PDF (1.4 TB) be stored outside the database

    Thanks - regards

If some give me a solution for a way to store PDF files outside the database.

If you want to store the PDF file outside the database, then there are usually two approaches.

    (1) in the database, there is a table that stores the name of the file and the location on disk of the PDF. The written application the PDF file in the file system and then updates the database with the location and the name of this PDF file. If the application must Access the PDF, it looks up info in the database and then retrieve this file. The application must be able to read and write to the disk outside the database.

    (2) use such BFILE as mentioned previously.

In both cases, your PDF documents is stored outside the database, but in my opinion, this does not eliminate the need for backups. If these PDF are lost, and there is no backup, then the data are lost. Because its outside of the database, a database backup backs up only data. The backup may be different and however different backup method is used. But I've seen cases where the db backup was performed at a given time and the binary backup was done at another time and restoration, there were inconsistencies that needed reconciliation.

    Hello

    I have the following problem.

I accidentally dropped a column containing the data of a table and to restore the state table, it was before I did.

I found a reference on the internet which States that you can use flashback to retrieve a table to a set in the past point, even if you deleted a column.
    Flashback Table

Just as the flashback query helps to retrieve rows of a table, FLASHBACK TABLE helps to restore the state of a table to a certain point in time - even if a table structure change has occurred since then. The following simple command will take us to the table state at the specified timestamp:

    SQL> FLASHBACK TABLE Employee TO
               TIMESTAMP ('13-SEP-06 8:50:58','DD-MON-YY HH24: MI: SS');

    Reference - http://www.orafaq.com/node/872
    My DBA has sent me the following information;
    Oracle Metalink note

Limitations and Restrictions on Flashback Table :

Flashback Table operations are not valid for the following type objects: tables that are part of a cluster, materialized views, Advanced Queuing (AQ) tables, static data dictionary tables, system tables, remote tables, object tables, nested tables, or individual table partitions or subpartitions.

The following DDL operations change the structure of a table, so that you cannot subsequently use the TO SCN or TO TIMESTAMP clause to flash the table back to a time preceding the operation: upgrading, moving, or truncating a table; adding a constraint to a table, adding a table to a cluster; modifying or dropping a column; adding, dropping, merging, splitting, coalescing, or truncating a partition or subpartition (with the exception of adding a range partition).

You cannot rollback a FLASHBACK TABLE statement. However, you can issue another FLASHBACK TABLE statement and specify a time just prior to the current time. Therefore, it is advisable to record the current SCN before issuing a FLASHBACK TABLE clause.
Then my return of flame using DBA in this situation or not?

I found that it is quite reliable. But when ANY site talking about a newly introduced feature, it must trigger at least one indicator "attention". There may be so many variables affecting the functioning of a new feature or is used unless you see a working example, you must create your own test case.

As I said some things, like your question above, can be easily verified, so there is no reason to rely on any document to see if it works.
    >
Is anyway to cancel this kind of thing or it is unrecoverable?
    >
Almost nothing is "sunk", if you have the right type of backup. For a deleted column, you have an export of the table before the fall.

Recommended for small changes DDL (for example related to an incremental update) is to take an export of the affected table.

This means that we don't have to define NEXT, PCTINCREASE, MAXEXTENTS at the object level.
Then, these settings are applicable to Dictionary managed tablespace or what?

Yes that's right, understand you is correct

    Can we define NEXT, PCTINCREASE, MAXEXTENTS at the level of the object in the dictionary managed tablespace;

Yes, you can, but go for DMT, is not very good, because you advantages compared to LMT, just think about it before going to the DMT, than I suggest.

    #data #.

You should also know that your approach is very inefficient in what you bring to cold fusion more data that you need. First you select all fields from 3 tables when you don't seem to use all the. Then, you select all the records and you only want to use 3. There are better ways out there, but they are specific db and you didn't say what you use.

    Hello

I have a loop 'for' which can take different number of iterations according to the number of measures that the user wants to do.

Inside this loop, I'm auto-indexation four different 1 d arrays. This means that the size of the tables will be different in the different phases of the execution of the program (the size will equal the number of measures).

My question is: the auto-indexation of the tables with different sizes will affect the performance of the program? I think it slows down my Vi...

    Thank you very much.

My first thought is that the compiler to the LabVIEW actually removes the Matlab node because the outputs are not used.  Once you son upward, LabVIEW must then call Matlab and wait for it to run.  I know from experience, the call of Matlab to run the script is SLOW.  I also recommend to do the math in native LabVIEW.
