For a session, with a view to the db, a session can be one of three things:

1 work (i.e. on the CPU or waiting for CPU)

    2. pending a not-idle event

    3 idle

    > 1DB CPU is the CPU time. It means only ACTIVELY work on CPU. Queue TIME is not included.

Queue time is not included - it is the CPU or waiting to get the CPU (which the db has no knowledge of)

    Fix.

    > It says that time DB = includes time CPU + IO time + queue time

E/s time is measured in queue time - file db scattered reading, sequential reading of file db, etc, etc.

Don't know. Perhaps to clarify the absoluately then IO is included in DB times

  • Difference between patch levels between two houses of oracle

    Hello
Is it possible that I can know the difference between the patches applied to the database a database B vs.
One way is I can do an opatch and get list patches and compare them by writing a script.
Is there another way to do this?

    Thank you
    MSK

    Hello

There is no automated method to compare the patches applied to two different OH. You must do this manually after the release of opatch. Or if you have control of the grid, then it can help you to compare the level of patch for two different Oracle_home.

  • What is the difference between the time cpu and cpu in AWR db?

    Hi, experts:

What is the difference between the time cpu and cpu in AWR db?

As a general rule, 'DC CPU', 'CPU Time' (and 'DB CPU of "TIME") are references to the same (i.e., a measure of the amount of time the instance of Oracle on the CPU), but to avoid any risk of misunderstanding, it is best to give us a little background labels - i.e. lines 6 or 7 containing an example of every use of one of your AWR reports

  • The difference between the admin directory and directory patch?

    What is the difference between $< PRODUCT_TOP >/admin/sql and $< PRODUCT_TOP > / 115/patch/sql

I looked at a number of packages on my system, and they seem to be constructed from its location *.pls in my $< PRODUCT_TOP > / patch/115/directory sql

However it is normally also have a file with the same name in $< PRODUCT_TOP >/admin/sql, but it generally has a different version number (in my case, I found some files in it that have a version number that is greater than what is in the directory of 115/patch/sql)

    Thank you
    Jim

My understanding is that the product admin directory using automatic upgrade as part of an upgrade?

    Fix.

    Q. Since Auto Upgrade is involved, I guess that means say 11i upgrade for R12 (what was once a migration) rather than what would be a Pack of updates to version (which is formerly a Maintenance release) for example 11.5.10.2?

I would say that it is applicable to all the patches that update APPL_TOP, so it applies to the outermost Regions and the Maintenance Pack patches but not an 11i to R12 as a new APPL_TOP upgrade is created in this case (unless you are referring to the new APPL_TOP).

    Q. the patch product_top directory holds transferred files in to adpatch?

    Yes.

If he holds only the latest version provided by the various patches that have been applied to this top product?

    Yes.

Q: why would the product_top directory admin hold files with version numbers higher than that which is in the product_top patch?

Can you give an example for this?

    Thank you

  • Patching CPU or PSU 11.2.0.1 on AIX 6.1

    Hi gurus,

I am confused with what to apply a patch CPU or PSU? I did a fresh install of 11.2.0.1 on AIX 6.1, now I have to apply July patch CPU/power supply for IM and DBMS_HOME. What to apply first CPU then PSU or can I apply directly to the PSU? What is the naming convention for CPU or PSU? I want to say how can I differentiate if CPU or power supply the patch has been applied? Please help me understand this.

    Thank you

Adapter for grid Interface and power supply for the database are separate benches, please refer to the note linked earlier and of course the Readme file coming along the patches.

  • Difference between versions 9.2.0.5 to 9.2.0.8

    Hi all

We were asked to perform a critical update to our 9.2.0.5 to 9.2.0.8 production databases. Well, you might want to let us know the difference between the two versions.

    Kind regards
    Dan

    Hello

We were asked to perform a critical update to our 9.2.0.5 to 9.2.0.8 production databases.

In addition to the answers previously posted, to update * 9.2.0.8 * you must apply the Patch Set correspondent include (but not only) several CPU (critical update). If a Patch Set is not limited to a CPU and include many corrections of bugs.

Normally, there are no new features when you apply a patch.

    Other * 9.2.0.5 * is no longer supported and * 9.2.0.8 * has extended support until the * July 31, 2010 *.

So you can think to migrate to * 11 g *.

    Hope this helps.

  • Y at - there a big difference between the base of the m3 and m5 models?

I had my m3 2016 Macbook for a week so just thought I would ask so that I have time to exchange it if need be. I wondered outside storage space, y at - it a big difference in processors Core of m3 and m5? Apple uses a "customized" version of the processors? I ask because Apple lists the m3 1.1 Ghz but not apple models are call at 900 mhz.

The processor is clocked at 1.1 Ghz. There are different models made by Intel, including that which is supposed to be clocked at 900 Mhz. Apple does not use a customized version of the CPU. The differences between the M3 and M5 model is displayed on the Intel Web site. Among the differences are the M5 is clocked at a higher speed and the M5 is generally about 15-20% faster than the M3 at the same clock speed.

  • Difference between Satellite R50-B-114 and R50-B-119

I would like to ask if there is a specific difference between these two?
I don't think there is, but I'm curious, because I found two models with exactly the same settings (cpu, ram, hard drive, graphics, sound).
And the price was different, 119 was about $ 100 cheaper.

I found my guy already, however there are still 2 days until I can place my order (weekend). The only difference that I found at toshiba.eu is a hard drive size. My local dealer has them both with SSD of 256 and it was my choice. Does still count as the model even if a hard drive is changed?

I haven't found a difference between the two models:
    R50-B-114 - 1 TB (5400 RPM) SATA
    R50-B-119 - 500 GB (7200 RPM) SATA

Of course, it is the same model. The hardware platform is identical and has nothing to do with the SSD or HARD disk. Of course the SSD is much better choice. Machine with SSD inside can provide better performance of the laptop.

  • Satellite Pro A30: Difference between the motherboard K000013790 vs K000011360

    Hi all

I need to replace my motherboard on a Satellite pro A30.
The Board of Directors is to be replaced is a k000011360.
The advice I can get to replace is K000013790.

Can someone tell me the difference between these two?
I have a 2.6 GHz CPU that may not be supported by the
    replacement card.

If I understand correctly, all Pro A30 boards have a standard form factor
    so can be interchanged.

    TIA,
    Ray.

    Hello

I'm really skeptical that anyone here can give you accurate information. Maybe you will be lucky and a technician will be post but before wait you here and size your time I recommend you exchange it with the same.

On this way, you will be sure that it will work well and there will be no problem with the other hardware components or maybe sort of moderator suites like overheating, permanent cooling fan running.

Also can you check if this card fits into the A30 (ports on the right place) case?
