  • FaceTime Camera: the green light next to the camera makes a slow blink, and there is no picture

MacBook (retina, 12 inch, early 2015) El Capitan 10.11.5 now ongoing enforcement.

Whenever I try to access the camera FaceTime (FaceTime, Photo Booth Apps) the green light next to the camera made a slow blink, and there is no picture.

The system report > camera > model ID: Apple camera VendorID_0x106B ProductID_0x1570

The numbers of the vendor and the product are correct?

The camera worked for 6 months passed and I used FaceTime several times without problem.  Several users are affected.

None of the recent changes to the system.

Since the problem began, I have:

    (1) installed Skype to see if one application other than an Apple app had a camera problem. Skype has no camera or.

    (2) improved 10.10.4 to El Capitan Yosemite.  Hoping that the upgrade would reload the application Face Time.   No change in symptoms

    (3) reinstalled the El Capitan using the OS X Internet recovery.  I have not used the time Machine.

(Note for everyone, it was simple and painless and does not need to reinstall applications.)  I want to reinstall MS OS was too simple)

    (4) several other threads suggested to reset NVRAM and SMC memory, even if they do not seem to be associated with the prob. who - without success here tried either

  • Wireless switch on, but the green light is turned OFF so WiFi doesn't work do not

    Hello

Sony VAIO VGN-FE780G with Windows 8.

Wireless switch starts giving the problem for the past 1-2 years. The green light is used for down working on laptop, usually as he used to come down as soon as you move the laptop little. I used to move the cursor to the market and push it a little to make it ON. This is usually used to make green and wifi, used to work.

Last week the green light went off and then even after trying to do ON dragging to MARKET or pushing, sound not to become green.

My guess is that the switch had bad connection and now it has finally broken from the inside.

What is the solution? I can open the laptop and fix it?

    Kind regards

    Sachin

    raklow364:

Although the VGNFE780G initially provided with Windows XP and is not supported for Windows 8, I would say that if you had Windows 8 working on the PC to WiFi before, this seems to indicate a problem of material with the switch.

Have you tried opening the charm of settings in Windows 8, and clicking on the PC to change settings link, then wireless to see if the WiFi radio has been disabled in the settings?

  • Re: Satellite L300 - how to turn off the green light below the F11 key?

    Hi, I have a Satellite L300

There is a green light on as the key F11. Given that this happened only some keys on my keyboard, I use a usb keyboard for now without any problems. How do I turn off the green light or is it a fault of keyboard?

    Hello

to be honest, I don't know anything about l300, but maybe you need to press NumLock to turn it off.

  • Printers HP DeskJet 3632: what is the green light on the back of my printer?

I have a HP DeskJet 3632 all-in-one printer. There is nothing wrong with it. But I would like to know what is for the green light on the back of it where the cable plugs in to.

    Anyone know?

I suspect it is just the power led.

  • The green light on the back of the Tower will always be on in a Pavilion m9600t?

If the computer is on or off, if the power cord is plugged into an outlet, the green light is turned on. It's ALWAYS been on, fan 24/7, I got the computer, but since I'm having problems in temperature lately, I wonder if that's a bad thing.

If this is supposed to be off when the computer is not in use, others unplug, then how to make it go off?

    Hello:

This light being on is normal.

You open the case and check for dust in the supply fan, the chassis fan or the fan to the heat sink?

At least every year or 6 months, you have to blow out the dust in these areas with a can of compressed air.

  • Why the green light is not on?

When I turn the computer (hp pavilion xt856), why does a green light on back?

  • What he average when the green light comes on briefly when it is plugged and them goes out?

I just bought the webcam connected and the Green led lights up and then goes away.

    Hi, Lord of the Manor,

EDIT: Seen the following in response, I guess I should have asked, works the webcam otherwise OK?  Is that the only issue that light?  If so, then I would argue that it doesn't really mean anything and it would not be concerned about it.  I assumed, and the rest of this guess, the webcam is not working and it is one of the symptoms.

What is the manufacturer, the brand and model of the webcam?  How did you install it or did you just plug it and expect it to work automatically (maybe it's a plug-and-play USB)?

Are you sure that the webcam is compatible with your version of Vista?  Look at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/default.aspx.

Make sure that the appropriate software/firmware or drivers are installed for the webcam.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  Search for one or more connected to the webcam and confirm that they are operable and functioning properly.  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should get those for the webcam to all least, even if Device Manager indicates that they work - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.  If there is any software or firmware as well (from the website), make sure that you install that as well in the order defined by the instructions (sometimes the order of the questions includinding if or not it is done while the device is plugged in or not).  The site may also include installation guides and/or the user manuals that can explain the purpose of the light and what it means when it is on or off and how to turn it on if it should be on to operate.  It is very difficult to help without details on the webcam as each works differently.  Actually, I don't even know if that's a mouthful in by USB to firewire or else however.

I think it is unlikely that it came with no software, firmware, or drivers of any kind (mine did).  After plug in and do all the installations are required, go to start / Control Panel and see if there is a new icon for the Webcam and if so, click on it and try to configure it to work with your system by following the instructions.  If not, then click on start / all programs and check if there are no new software installed that associated with the webcam and if so, click it and follow the instructions to set up.

I hope this helps.  If not, post back with detailed information (enough so that we can find the manufacturer and the specific webcam online) on the webcam and we will try to help you further in the establishment knowing that additional information.

    Good luck!

  • The green light on the power supply shuts off when I try to turn on my pc to my thought is a power supp

The green power light on the power supply shuts off when I press the power button / stop on the fron of the pc.  I think power but would it be the switch?

It is a sign that the PSU has failed, but here's a convenience store. If you had mentioned the model #, I could have linked a suitable replacement.

  • my CD does not open. The green light flashes but its does not

I have a hp workstation xw4200. It had not been used since 2004. When we first turned the computer on the CD works perfectly. We even made a cd of music on it. But this computer needed some serious updates and since we have updated of pilots and other things, it did not work. The Green led comes on like its something but it does not open and it says that there is no cd inside.

Here are a few ways to open the drawer with a CD/DVD with a stuck CD/DVD player,

    1. Open Workstation , and then search for your CD/DVD drive and right click and select eject.
    2. Get a paper clip and one end on open if you have something to dig with. Look on the front of your CD Player for a very small pin hole.

Place the open end of the paperclip into the hole of a PIN and push gently but firmly keeping it perpendicular to the front of the player.

I think you get some success on one of these methods. The last one is usually reserved for out a totally defective CD/DVD disc.

    Hello

    ·        What operating system is installed on your computer?

    ·        You did changes to the computer before the show?

Method 1: run the corner hardware store and devices and check to see if that fixes the problem:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

Method 2: Reset the USB controller and check if it makes a difference:

    (a) type devmgmt.msc in the start search box.

    (b) expand Bus USB controllers.

    (c) right-click every device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click on uninstall to remove them one at a time.

    (d) restart the computer and reinstall the USB controllers.

    (e) connect the removable USB storage device and perform a test to ensure that the problem is solved.

  • How can I fix my CD player that does not start spinning, however the green light flashes twice and the door opens fine.

I recently got a desktop computer. It's an hp with Microsoft Windows XP. I don't understand not brand-new, but it worked when I got it. My children decided to "help" with a cd of one day and he has not worked since. It is not simply turn and nothing shows up on the screen as if I never put anything in the drive. I tried to open a file manually, but he just told me to insert a disk in drive D. When I close the door, it flashes twice, then nothing happens and it is completely silent. I'd appreciate any help.

Sounds as if the reader does not, replace it and see what happens.
