Disable Autorun at startup
Is there a way to disable the Autorun to start running?
I want to give the user the option to disable the auto soft start until it clicks on the application.
If this option is not available, is there a way to detect that the application has started in an auto start mode a user vs by clicking on the icon of the application from the home screen?
Thank you
You can use the ApplicationManager.inStartup method to see if the BlackBerry is in the boot process. Your application can run only when the BlackBerry is in this State, if it was automatic started.
It is not integrated to disable auto-start, but you could build this logic into your application (take no action until a user does something).

The following simple application is supposed to run automatically at startup. I did the "autorun at startup" project from the project settings. It works on a simulator. It does not work on BlackBerry "BOLD". I tried to see if there is any information about the event log, but I don't see anything significant. Any suggestions are appreciated.

}What you feel is the correct behavior. If you disable the application, then you turn the phone is turned off, and then again once, the application does not start.
For the proposed 2 entry points, it would really depend on your condition. For example in the case of my application, if the user wants to kill the app, I have to honor that. The next launch of phone will call him. That's why I don't think to since it was not a problem.
In your proposed solution, build the module system a sit down, check your application and launches the application not running?

Advice needed for "Autorun at startup" setting
Hey all,.
Need some advice on how to do the following.
I have my java application that updates daily image home screen with the image of Bing of the day. The user interface of the application has an option to activate this automatic function on and outside. At the exit of the app, it checks this parameter, and if it is turned on it starts a background thread that strives to update the home screen. (There is one application of work these features.) So no separate app works as the demon).
The problem arises on resetting the device, there is nothing to start the demon, because which is managed out of the application. So, I need somehow set up the application so that when the system starts, it checks for this setting and if it is turned on it starts the background thread, otherwise does nothing.
I hope I'm being clear. So immediately the "Autorun at startup" option in the file descriptor application jumped on me, but if I use it, what can I put in the application to check the value of the parameter, and where this start is handled? Or I think this bad situation?
Thank you
Theodore M
If you only want the interface user started, then you need from one door, with specified auto-start. Just make sure that the BlackBerry is fully started before trying anything:
http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/write-safe-initialization-code/Ta-p/444795
And make sure that you start in the background. Then by clicking on the icon will bring you app in the foreground. You will need to make sure that when you close the app, instead of close, just put your application in the background.

How can I disable standby/hibernation / startup emits a beep and the sounds?
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad x 200 running vista Ultimate edition. 7454 - cto of type
How can I disable those annoying beeps that sound whenever my computer goes in and out of standby and Hibernate.
I tried to transform the model of 'No sound' sounds, but the tone still sounds when the computer enters and wakes from sleep and hibernation.
If I turn on "mute" is put into standby or Hibernate mode, the beep does not sound (which is what I want). Unfortunately, its impossible to come back on MUTE when im trying to put the computer away from the sleep or Hibernate (which makes it very distracting to turn on the computer during the class).
Solution:
Enter the BIOS by pressing F1 during startup
> Config
> Beep and alarm
Tone control power set to [Disabled]
Your solution is correct, but I think it's also accessible under ThinkPad Power Manager software. Go to the "Global settings" tab and choose "beep when the power state changes.»

Hello
It seems that the Autorun feature is disabled. I suggest you follow the steps mentioned in the article below.
The Autorun feature or the AutoPlay feature does not work when you insert a CD-ROM into the CD drive
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/330135
If this does not work then, I suggest you do a system restore to the point when the system worked very well and see if the problem is resolved.

Autorun at startup feature does not
I'm trying to run my application at startup by selecting "Auto-run at startup" in the BlackBerry Application descriptor. I also use SystemListenerto detect the availability of the system at boot. It works very well (the application is launched) when I restart the phone by removing the battery. But when I turn on / off the device by pressing the button (a sort of fashion 'sleep' I guess), the application is not started on boot.
Is it possible to launch the ofter tunring/disable the button device application?
Thanks in advance
Thank you

MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2010) OPERATING SYSTEM OS X El Capitan (Version 10.11.2) Processor Intel Core i7 2.66 GHz Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Startup disk Macintosh HD Graphics Intel HD Graphics 288 MB The past several times I completely stopped my MacBook Pro and booted back up Xcode is the first thing to open, and it opens a window, I've never seen before called 'ICloudSetupView.strings '.
I went to check if Xcode is checked as a startup item (I usually put off because I do not often use XCode) and Xcode is not even on my list of items that opens automatically when I boot.
HOWEVER, there is a new startup item called "ICloudSetupView.strings" that has a "sort" of "Strings File".
I traced the file in its location and found several others with the timestamp date same creation and now I'm worried.
The path to the file is:
System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/FinderKit.Framework/versions/A/Resources/SK. LP roj/ICloudSetupView.strings
The file has only the following 2 lines of code (technically 1 with overflow) that you can see in the image:
bplist00 "_uHD " Driveo-7F-8GX.title_H4f-Te-Tzu.title\iCloud
3 @
A screenshot of the Xcode file that opens and my preferences of start programme is attached.
I'm quite worried about it, especially because it IS NOT defined as part of open automatically but it is.
I searched online and found no something like this.
Anyone know what it is?
Or what the code does?
Is this a virus or spyware?
It is not spyware. Simply remove it from your login items.

Is it possible to disable services icloud, icloud photo library and icloud 10 PC Windows startup disk? There will be negative consequences if I disable these at startup?
You can uninstall iCloud for Windows completely if you do not use one of its features. If you do, you should let its services run. See what is iCloud for Windows?-Apple Support for more info on what it does.
