  Regarding Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, I can erase all recent files in my application mac & windows and even on my iPhone. However, when I click on the link to access the website of adobe document cloud, I can't find the option to clear my recent files. I am a new user, so if I simply don't see it please let me know.

  Recent tab in Acrobat/Reader applications on mobile devices & system view recently viewed files, so its as a shortcut for easy access. If you disable recent files that your actual files are not deleted.

  Where as recent files on the cloud of the document are files stored on the cloud of document. If you delete the file recorded on the document cloud will get deleted.

• Recent files are not recent

  When you try to open a file a sidebar appears with the "recent" files, but these aren't the latest files, we used.  Is there a way to stop this option only use it when necessary (and run)? Thank you!

  To disable it, you can go into Photoshop preferences > General > uncheck 'See the recent workspace files when you open a file' > restart Photoshop.

  and to refresh the list of recent files, go to the file menu > open recent > clear recent files list > restart.

• App to display recent files?

  I have so many files and would like to have an app or a way to see the most recent, I was working on, preferably power that shrink down to file type.

  "Recent files" in the finder simply do not work, there is no other way to put it. I have created custom filters and it just doesn't work. "The files I was working that day there are in the bracket ' 6 months ago.

  Maybe a recent system update has reset your system preferences > General > recent items to zero.

  

  Type a number (for example, 10);

  Quit the system preferences;

  Leave the Pages then revive Pages;

  Open some documents to repopulate open the recent item.

  Any improvement?

  If no improvement, shut down your computer and restart.

  "Recent articles" are at the level of the system and refers to other applications, not just the Pages.

  I am trying to load a Virus checker and keep from telling me I have to disable, simple file sharing, going to folder Option > view > uncheck! Problem is there is no box tht looks like to a file share.

• recent files Notepad does not

  When I move my mouse over the Notepad icon, the list of recent files displayed contains seven files but is incorrect as the files I used either that day or the day before are not displayed.

  There seems to be no pattern as to what is shown for example a file is dated July, another dated November and so on.

  I tried before clearing the list of recent files, but it seems that once she gets to seven files listed then it stops day list.

  Editing the registry, as shown in this video, is the only way of doing what you want.

  Out of curiosity, is there a reason why you want to clear the list of recent files on a regular basis? I've never done in DW. In Photoshop, maybe a few times.

  You can uncheck the workspace to boot from Photoshop > Preferences > General and relaunch Photoshop and it should display your personalized workspace.

  I must add that when I try and open a file, it freezes and I have to force photoshop completely.

  Try resetting your Photoshop preferences.

  If you are referring to the file > open recent, it's just a list of the last files you have opened.

  When you save a file, it is entirely up to you where you want to save it.
