Disable the creation of shortcut automatic whan added cd or USB

Hello

I wonder we I can disable creating a shortcut on my desktop automatically when you add a CD/DVD or a USB device.   When I add a CD on my Windows 7 CD player creates a shortcut on my desktop for example F:\ I want.

Thank you

Markus

This isn't a feature of Windows, so you have another program that seeks to be useful in this sense.  Probably a feature of the manufacturer of the computer.

  • Disable the creation of files desktop.ini in Windows 8

    Hi all

    I want to know if this is a way to disable the creation of files desktop.ini, at least in the desktop system folder.

    I knew that under XP there was a DWORD key which should be created to avoid creating all the desktop.ini files in the computer.

    I don't want the desktop.ini file features (personalization of icon, remembering the last display in each folder options, etc.)

    So I don't want to hide the desktop.ini files. I want to remove them and avoid Windows 8 create again and again.

    If Microsoft has disabled this customization which was present in the earlier version of Windows and now is not available (to disable the creation of files desktop.ini) just say. If there is some other registry key to be created or modified, please advise.

    Thank you

    Pablo.

    Hi Pablo.

    I would like to inform you that the Desktop.ini is a system file that addresses common issues, such as downloads, Documents, photos and music etc. When a change is made in these files, Desktop.ini is updated.

    Deleting the file will cause problems with the operating system and it is not recommended to delete the files. The default desktop.ini a hidden system file and read-only attributes assigned.

    If you want to stop these messages, go to the files through Search Options, click settings and you will see the Folder Options, click on it and the view tab and scroll down until you see "Hide protected operating system files (recommended) and put a checkmark in the box."

    Hope that answers your query. You can write back to us for other queries/problems related to windows and we will be happy to help you further.

  • Disable the creation of Automatic System Restore Point? -SOLVED

    Is it possible to disable the automatic creation of System Restore Point (to prevent Windows to create points of food every day and after (re) install programs / Windows updates)?

    I want to manually create System Restore Points because the automatic creation uses too much space, because I install new programs very often.
    Note that I still want to use system restore. I don't want it to be automatic.

    Hello

    Well, Yes, you can shut down the computer to automatically create restore points by disabling the system of protection under the system restore. System protection is a function that creates and records information about your computer's system files and settings regularly. The system protection also saves previous versions of files that you have modified. It saves these files in the restore points that are created just before significant system events, such as the installation of a program or device driver. They are also created automatically once every seven days if no other restore points were created in the last seven days, but you can create restore points manually at any time.

    Again, I suggest you to create a restore point when you turn off system protection. Basically, to store restore points, you need at least 300 megabytes (MB) of free space on each hard disk with the system on Protection. System Restore can use up to 15 percent of the space on each disk. As the amount of space fills up with restore points, System Restore deletes older restore points to make room for the new. The system protection, the feature that creates restore points, is enabled by default. We recommend that you keep System Protection turned on for all hard disks that contain important files so that you can use system restore if you need to.

    I really get upset when software decides to stop what I'm doing and go update himself with asking them first. I disabled the auto update on my Norton and all Microsoft's Products. Before that updates are needed which is BS is just far from obsolete computers or using their memory with constant updates.

    I came to Firefox to get out of this nonsense change now.

    Thank you - "drafting" and James

    Now, I understand - the answer is no.

    THE NORMAL USER CAN NOT ENABLE THIS FEATURE. Can't wait to see a great browser fall into the mindset that if you want to change the update you basically have to go in the program code and modify the program Microsoft. Most of the people will not do that.

    James - your answer is close the send me the link for https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/advanced-settings-browsing-network-updates-encryption#w_update-tab the problem is I already check never search for updates (not recommended: security risk) and the program bloody yet more wrinkles and turns off and pulls the top of updates.

    Think it will be easier to change browser.

  • Disable the creation of the site map

    Muse sitemaps cover only a small part of my web site. How can I disable creation of sitemap permanently?

    I use another program to create a large site sitemap.

    Thank you

    I'm afraid that the sitemap created by muse cannot be disabled. What you can do here is rather: the site exported to HTML format in a folder and replace sitemap.xml generated muse with one that you created, and then download the site for your accommodation using the FTP client.

    Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum.
    The description of the problem, I see you want to disable certain features for other users.
    Provide us with a few details in order to better understand the issue.
    1. you use an administrator account?
    2. other users use standard user accounts?
    If you use an administrator account and others to use the standard user account, standard users will not be able to make changes on the computer without entering a password.
    Standard users can only empty their trash. Standard user cannot empty trash administrator.

  • Disable the feature Navigator-semi-automatic on Textfield

    Greetings to the community.

    On the normal text type fields, you get this browserfeature of AutoComplete. This can be disabled with the html autocomlete = "off"attribute.

    Now I saw recently somewhere a global setting in the APEX 4.2 applications to include what in all text fields, with which you are dealing. I can't find more.

    Can anyone give me a tip where this setting should be found, please, so that I don't have to go through 100 text entries, we have in our application.

    Thank you and Bravo,

    Not sure, but it seems that you are referring to the option "Auto Complete form" in the title of the Page change-> Security.

  • Support for the creation of multiple automatic date fields fill

    I have created a form that contains 31 date from 01/02/12 sea areas.  I try to get the auto form fill the other 30 boxes as 02/02/12 game and so on until the end of the month or in this case continue until March 2.

    If you name your fields of text something like "date1", "date2",..., "date31", the following could serve as the validation script customized for the first date field (date1):

    // Custom Validate script
    (function () {

        var sDate;

        // Convert entered value (string) to a date and get its value in milliseconds
        var d1 = util.scand("mm/dd/yyyy", event.value).getTime();

        // Populate the other date fields by incrementing this date
        for (var i = 2; i < 32; i += 1) {

            // Determine the new date string
            sDate = util.printd("mm/dd/yyyy", new Date(d1 + (i - 1) * 864e5));

            // Set/Clear the current field
            getField("date" + i).value = event.value ? sDate : "";

        }

    })();

    If the first field is disabled, it erases the other date fields as well.

  • Hey guys, just a quick question on the creation of an automatic extension of content page

    Hey guys, I was wondering, how are you going about creating a background page that self develops as new content is added?

    I have attatched an example to illustrate what I mean:

    http://I52.Tinypic.com/2crkefc.jpg

    a content area (the white area I circled in red in the Center which expand and highlight because it adds more content)

    I just want to know how you create that. A self expanding the page content area.

    In the case of this site:

    http://www.blog.spoongraphics.co.UK/

    The owner has also added is a footer which moves upwards or downwards according to the page, how long or short, but somehow "mixtures" in the content area making it appear seamless.

    I don't know how the general HTML and CSS, but I'm still learning.

    Also, I was wondering how you can create consistent page styles (i.e. the buttons at the top of each page remain the same, but when 'active' or ' restored on "they change color (I dunno how to make buttons in Dreamweaver).)

    I hope it's enough clear and thanks for your help guys. I tried to understand this for ages...

    You might want to Google "server side include" to get a more complete answer, but an inclusion side Server (ISS) occurs when you have two files:

    1. a parent file

    2. a file fragment

    The parent file contains a reference to the include file which is picked up by the server, where it is about to load the file parent in the applicant browser.  It would include the content of the fragment file in the file parent in order to replace the expression we. -The parent file is a valid HTML page and complete, and the include file is just a fragment of code that is not valid as a stand-alone page.  In this case, the total of the two files is what is served in the complete applicant as a single HTML file browser.  You can do SSI with ordinary HTML guidelines, or with all popular server scripting languages.  In HTML, a parent file might look like this-

    Parent

    [an error occurred while processing the directive]

    and foo.txt might look like this-

    Hello

    Get it?

    I think that HTML/CSS/jQuery you would get a long way on the road with simple Web sites.  More is certainly a good goal, however.  I would say that Wordpress is certainly easier than Joomla or Drupal.

    W3schools will not teach you much about the design, and it's going to work just with the theory.

  • JSF configuration to disable the creation of HTTP session

    I'm looking for something similar to the JSP session = false directive page. We are looking for a way to present our login page of applications without creating an http session (of course, we will use the session once they have authenticated, but before that we do not want to use resources for an unauthenticated user). Is there a way to do it with JSF, or do we make our connection to the page from a JSP page?

    Hello

    JSF always create a session when the State server-side is enabled. It is necessary, given that the JSF, navigation control and "stores" of the user States and components. If you want to avoid this, you need to change the status of processing on the client side. Your application will consume a little more bandwidth, but you save the memory of the server...

    See your implementation how JSF. For RI from Sun, you can set it in your web.xml:

  • What is BBThumbs.dat and when and why it created in the emulator and how to disable its creation?

    Hello

    I download a bunch of binary files from the server to a directory under "file:///SDCard/myfolder/".

    I notice that in the emulator sometimes BBThumbs.dat is created in this folder.

    Is there a way to disable the creation of this file.

    I use JDE4.3.0.

    I would appreciate any idea on it.

    -MO.

    the blackberry creates a thumbnail of each image in the file and stores it in this file when you open a folder.
    When you open the folder again the thumbnail can be recovered (if the hash matches) in the dat file rather created, it's much faster.
    Windows did the same thing btw.

  • PDM-files: is it possible to prevent the creation of files .tdms_index of LabVIEW and tiara?

    Hello

    is it possible to prevent the creation of .tdms_index files when opening/creating/editing of LabVIEW and tiara a .tdms file?

    I think that I have no advantage in the .tdms_index files, because our applications create many small .tdms-files (repeated measures). With .tdms_index files, we have unnecessary memory consumption and it takes longer for Windows Open the containing folder. Also it s confused when you search for a certain file.

    Best regards

    Daniel

    Hi Acer,

    I'm afraid there is a direct way to disable the creation of file .tdms_index now of LabVIEW and tiara. You can use the API Advacend TDMS in LabVIEW, which does not create an index file, or you can just do a simple programming and remove the .tdms_index file after closing the PDM file.

    This is a request for a long time, we will consider adding this feature for TDMS in future versions.

    Which anti virus application are you using?

    You can uncheck the check mark next to the program TODO in the MSCONFIG. Which will disable the application to load automatically.

    Analysis complete assistance Security Microsoft scanner.

    Refer to this link:

    Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
