Disable the mode of reading for all users

Hello

I'm trying to deploy Acrobat Reader DC for my company and would like to disable the playback mode (floating toolbar) when opening the document in a browser. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can accomplish this?

Thank you!

Keys "should" fill the first launch of the product during installation.  If it's not past, then you can file a bug here: Adobe - feature request/Bug Report Form

Is there a way to change a system to XP for all THE present and future users on PC Windows XP sp2? It is in a domain environment, but I have not met all GPO settings that would allow it to be. And users are not technically aware of how to make these changes on their own. Basically, I just need to show up or off in standby mode.

  • try to change the mode of feeding for a user account, the instructions worked to change the administrator account, but changes do not appear on user accounts.

On my HP 510 laptop, I want to change the power mode to one of the user accounts.  It cannot be changed of in the user account, so I followed these instructions: log in as administrator, do the selection desired in the list of available eating patterns (Control Panel, Power Options, eating patterns), click on apply, then log in as administrator.  I find that the selected power mode has been applied to the administrator account, but not to one of the user accounts. I tried to change in the user account, but still receive the "access denied" response

I recently installed Microsoft Security Essentials. My reading of various internet stations indicate that some older antivirus programs may have hindered this process of power management. I was not able to discover how to inactivate Security Essentials, so did not try to change the mode of power without interference from her.

Another indicated position of the potential interference of the BIOS settings. I don't know how to check if this may be the case. I have MS Windows XP Pro SP3 installed. I have automatic and current updates.

Thanks for any help, you can suggest.

    Hello

You can change the setting in see Group Policy for this document:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730920.aspx

Or change temporarily the user to an admin account, make the changes and then return as a standard user.

  • Disable the redirection of printer for remote users only

Hi we have a customer's requirement that when users connect to the view platform 5.2 internally (via PCoIP) they are able to get both printers mapped with GPO printing location and all locally connected usb printers. However, when a user is working from outside the LAN you must disable the printer redirection all - they don't want sensitive documents outside of the office printing.

What is the best way to achieve this?

In case anyone is interested, I managed to solve this problem using a vbs script, executed using the agent to view GPO RunOnConnect. He questions the volatile environmental variables for the name of the view server connection external access. and if it matches then verifies membership in a group. If not a member of the remote-printing-authorized group it disables services of thinprint.

  • How do I change the ownership of semi-automatic prompts by default in the my account settings for all users

    Hi all

After changing the instanceconfig.xml to configure the autocomplete property in dashboard of guests, we were not able to get this work until we found this paper: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay? & id = 1461398.1 and discovered that the problem was of our users had the AutoComplete property in my account set to off.

Is it possible to change this property for all of our users on one-step (they can change it back off if they want to), or less this new connection users in OBIEE get this property to the value?

That is to say. For users created outside the WLS Console (OID, Siebel CRM, etc.), this does not happen.

  • How can I disable the SimplePass fingerprint reader for now?

    DV7 6143 cl, Windows 7 64 bit.

The computer is several months old, and yesterday I finally had the time to look at everything on the machine to see what was useful.

For the first time I opened SimplePass (AuthenTec version I think) and implemented with my Windows logon.

It works and can be useful in the future, but not so much right now so I would like to disable or turn off the drive without uninstalling the software.

Also, just curious, the implementation of procedure I used was not like any tutorials on HP sites.

It is best to leave things as they are as long as the software is quiescent. It is a simple matter to restore your registration when you want to use the logins SimplePass. Merry Christmas!

  • I would like to disable the back/forward buttons for all sites

My boss is crazy... lol... he wants me to remove the buttons back and forward across our browsers Firefox, to limit abusive personal internet usage.

I don't have a solution to script. I am looking for a solution of parameters of Firefox.

Thanks in advance for any help

    1. Right-click on an empty spot in one of the toolbars at the top of FF. A drop down menu appears.
    2. Choose the last option - customize... to a customize toolbar is displayed.
    3. Move the cursor of your mouse over the buttons next and previous. The mouse cursor should now resemble a helping hand.
    4. Drag the back & before buttons on the toolbar customization. (They disappear from Navigation toolbar.)
    5. Click done in the toolbar customization

I was wondering how to remove the icon from the taskbar to Vmtools for all users.  When I connect I have disable however if another user logs on to the icon returns to this user.  It seems to be an individual user setting and not a global setting... There should be the option to put it on a global scale... (perhaps a thought for the future revision)

  • Docking station by default for all users

I would like to create a default dock that all users will have when they connect.

So far on the administrator account, I installed the dock how I want it to look.

I copied the \Library\Preferences\com.apple.dock.plist file, and then paste it in the system\library\User / Template\English.lproj file.

    This doesn't seem to work.

    I also tried to stick in system\library\User / Template\English.lproj\Library\Preferences

    That did not work.

I also tried to stick in system\library\User / Template\English.lproj\Library\Application/ Support

    This no longer works.

    Any ideas?

I remind you that you are on a UNIX machine and not Windoze. Stop putting human oblique zigzag in your paths - they lean forward under macOS. A slash (as you'll see below) is used to escape white space in a path name.

In your local account, configure the applications you want for all users (including system preferences: Dock settings) in your Dock. Then apply the following copy command in the Terminal of your home directory (you will be asked your admin password).

    sudo cp ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist Template/English.lproj/Library/Preferences system/library/User\

Looks like we have found a solution. We had a group of "update" policy the registry for the current user on login.  It's the key, you need to add in a GPO / your domain controller. In case you can't see in the screenshot, here's the path full key: Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\9.0\FormsPrefs
