Discoverer Plus stop oracle apps at launch

Hi friends,

I have a problem when I launched Discoverer Plus (10.1.2.48.18), he stops existing oracle applications. Which means that when I have to work simultaneously both on the application Oracle and discoverer of more I'm not able to work coz when discoverer is launched it stops the oracle application.

I use the browser IE 6.00. The error is "Runtime VC ++ libarry error" I have changes the IE browser settings but now I don't get the error, but again it stops at the window of oracle applications.

Please suggest me how to solve this problem.

Thanks to all in advance.

Kind regards
SAI

Hello

I saw this problem and I think it was a problem with the Java virtual machine. Using Jinitiator? Have you checked that the last version compatible with the discoverer?

I have the discoverer of the installation and everything works.  When you call from oracle apps, I get this error:

Cannot locate or analyze the .dbc file /ebs02/prod/discoverer/Oracle/Middleware/asinst_2/config/Discoverer/Discoverer_asinst_2//corpdevpl200-fin_prod.dbc corresponding to the given Oracle Applications instance.

The problem is the double slash before the dbc file.  Where would be the slash? All advice is appreciated.

The problem is that the opmn.xml file had a slash at the end of the fnd_secure variable, I removed it and the double slash problem has been resolved!  I do not edit the script, it was from the installation. Perhaps not many people have integrated 11.1.1.7 discoverer with EBS and make the call to discoverer of menu in EBS, so this has been reported.

  • To access the reports of discoverer of Oracle Apps

    Hi all

Requirement: To access Oracle Apps discoverer reports
    Discoverer: 11g
    Oracle Apps: 12i

When I try to access Oracle apps discoverer reports, again, he is asked for Oracle Apps identifiers. Can we have another option that can be directly connected to the Viewer without any intermission. Please its urgent needs.

    ThanQ,
    ABR

    Hello

Ask the menu where you will launch discoverer reports to. If you have created a new responsibility, questioning the menu associated with this responsibility and implement the steps. If you call some other responsibility reports, go to the same practice still once (i.e. query responsibility for the menu name, and then implement the steps).

    All,

So far, we have put our customized views of discoverer in our apps schema. The 'monitoring' point of view and from the perspective of 'split views apps Disco', we tend to create a custom schema to place all our custom views of discoverer. I heard that Noetix does as well.

To do this, we intend to provide a select grant for all tables, views, and synonyms (with an execute rights) limited for some packages.

The best thing to do is to continue to do what we are doing. We have a naming in place scheme that allows us to quickly identify all custom views of Disco.

Then I have people who have implemented a scheme customized to their point of view of Disco in apps made me know how it worked for them? This type of environment Disco seems to need a lot of communication between staff of the nightclub and the DBA to ensure that these subsidies are set up correctly.

    Thank you

    Hello

All eBS sites I've worked on that have created the majority of their custom views in the scheme of APPS using a naming convention to separate seeded views. The reason is that the SQL in the view (including all function calls) is executed with the privileges of the owner of the view. If the view is defined in another schema, this diagram must have access to objects in database APPS that can be a lot of work to put in place because it is very difficult to identify the dependencies and needlessly opens the security on the APPS schema.

Where the data in custom tables and there is point of view on these tables custom, then both tables and views are held in a separate schema.

    JFYI
Discoverer is installed on the same server as the EBS 12i.
Last week we had problems at the EBS promoted us to change the passwords for applications, SYSADMIN, APPLSYSPUB and even EUL4_US in the system. I wonder which of these changes could have an impact on discoverer. How can I get ebs to recognize the new EUL4_US password?

    Thank you

    Hi Mathias
So we exclude a question URL field that would have been the case if a second password had worked.

I looked at your picture of error again and it seems to me that you do not use the Oracle Applications login in the menu drop-down. The screenshot says you used Oracle BI Discoverer while you should use Oracle Applications.

You can also prepopulate certain information of connection as follows: http://:/discoverer plus? database = ofd1 & we = sysadmin & lm = eul = eul5_us & applications

If you try this and still have a problem and if you are absolutely certain that you were entering the SYSADMIN password correctly, check the following:

    1. check OPMN. XML and search for the FND_SECURE parameter
    2. make sure that you have a valid BCD file in the location pointed to by the FND_SECURE parameter
    3. check your TNSNAMES file and check the name of the connection and the internal connection information, you can compare that to the parameters in the TNSNAMES file on the Admin of discoverer machine

    Best wishes

  • Unable to connect to Oracle Apps R12

    Hello

I have an Oracle Instance R12 installed on my laptop (middle-tier and the database). When I tried to launch the executable form in the responsibility of the system administrator after login, I got the following error:

FRM-92102: A network error has occurred. Customer Forms attempted to re-establish its connection to the Server 5 times without success. Please check the network connection and try again later.

I googled on this topic and found that changing networkretries setting helps.

I changed the parameter networkretries in the file $ORACLE_HOME/forms/server/formsweb.cfg of 0 to 30.

After that, I stopped the instance (adstpall.cmd) and started (adstrtal.cmd) again.

Now, when I run the (IE) browser and try to connect to the Oracle Apps instance, it gives me the following error:

    HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

The website cannot display the page

    HTTP 500

Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Houta

Manual updates to the configuration files are to be avoided - AutoConfig should take care of everything, from where you are now I would say stopping and running again AutoConfig to see if that lets you go back to a working configuration.

You have not specified the R12 version, so I think that you have loaded an out-of-the 12.1.1 box on your laptop to test?

If I remember well 12.1.1 comes with JRE6 in the techstack, but is not the patch of Sun JRE interoperability (4377566) previously applied, it's something to check.

The forms out-of-the-box technology stack also needs the additional fixes to make it compatible JRE7.

Ref: Deployment Sun JRE (Native plug-ins) for Windows customers in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [393931.1 ID]

You really have deployed SSO as well, or is this the normal login page you are trying to do?

Is - the current running in the server or Jdeveloper?

If it is the server, you did all the changes recently? Did transfer a file? If so, you correctly transfer in binary mode?

Delete the class files, copy the files again (binary mode if you transfer files class if the java files, transfer in ascii mode and then compile it in the server).

Bounce the server and see what happens.

Let us know how it goes.

  • AAM, which causes a loop not allowing any Adobe Apps for launch.

I have created with the AAMEE tool CS6 Design Premium version. It is on my Builds and has been eliminated from existing machines.

It's worked great, and I'm only having problems with one machine.

CS6 Adobe worked fine for a few months, then one day, out of the blue, no. CS6 apps would launch, the counces icon once, the MAO comes to the dock and bounces, then they leave them and restart about 10 X in the order immediately leave and then just stop trying.

It's bad for all users of the machine, including the root and admin.

CS 5.5 applications all work fine.

    I gave up and uninstalled/reinstalled CS6.

It worked for 2 days, and now it's happening again.

I think I should ask about it. It is not a big deal to just wipe/rebuild the machine, but it of not Prefs, hiding; I tried to delete those.

It happens to any user on the computer, this isn't a problem with the user's permissions.

I just thought that I should get on it until it starts happening to my other 70 users who have the same build/installation.

Someone at - he seen this before?

Thus, after the call to Adobe technology today the machine working again.

Basically, what he was doing was, put the filder with serialization file and the prov.xml file ontot he office.

    Open Terminal

    Dragged into the serialization file

added to this: - tool = VolumeSerialize - provfile =

    dragged into the prov.xml file

    and press enter

He ran and got a return Code = 0

    Now, run the applications.

Technology is sending via the genius of make me a batch file or a patch file.

If he says something I can run for the next time that automates this or a Patch, I'll report back.

But this seems to solve the problem.

I'm not a scripter, but it should be fairly easy to use ARD to place the serialization folder in the directory shared from each machine.

Then just run a script or command of ARD or SSH re - serializes CS6.

  • OracleBI Discoverer Plus "Unique key: BR1.

    Hello
    I'm OracleBI Discoverer ' Unique key: BR1 ' in Oracle Discoverer Plus 10 g.

Are there any body know something about this?

    Concerning

I encountered this message when you use the Schedule Manager. The EUL5_Batch_Reports table requires a workbook name regular or unique for the whole EUL, not only for a particular user. But when a second user tries to use an existing name, they get the option to "keep that name, but delete the existing workbook and its results." If they choose this option, it works if the contradictory workbook is theirs, but if it is not the case, they become unique key: BR1.

The report above take info if a service is down at some point in time.
Do you think it is useful to you? or the customer?

Moreover, 05:00 - 07:00 services apps/db are stop to give way to a "cold" backup. You have noticed that
most of the services during this period have exit status '1 '. With the exception of addisctl and adcmctl, they are always '0 '. Can you tell me why
even if the application is stopped, the two services in a test of their status... He is always '0 '?

  • Archived bills accessible via Oracle Apps

    Hello

Our Organization is currently on applications 11.5.10.2 and have acquired a new company which has been moved to the Oracle. However, this new company has many old bills that we do not want to migrate to Oracle because we want to keep the Apps database lean and fast and this data is used very rarely.

Our plan is to move these data in a separate database / warehouse and build a custom (with Oracle Forms and reports) application to query the data and print reports.

However, we must add some sort of link / menu item in Oracle Apps to call this new application when the user wishes to question this archived data.

Is this possible? If so, how can this be achieved? How do we create a different database applications binding?

Any help will be much appreciated?

    TIA.
    Ashika.

  • Conversion of Sinlge - node Oracle Apps Instance in Instance of node 2

    Hello

I'm in the process of conversion my single instance Instance Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2 on Windows 2003 server on an instance of node 2. I want to pass the DB level only to another Windows 2003 server.

Please suggest how I can achieve this. Can I use 'adcfgclone appsTier' to achieve this.

    Rgds,
    Thiru

    (1) execute 'perl adpreclone.pl dbTier' on the source database node
    (2) execute 'perl adpreclone.pl appsTier' on the source application node
    (3) the application/database services stop, then copy the (dband ) to the target node directories
    (4) execute 'perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier' on the target database node
    (5) make sure that the database and the database listener are running
    (6) run 'perl adcfgclone.pl appsTier' on the source application node
    (7) start application services
